I have some questions regarding the JHipster code generator, or to be more specific:
Which underlaying mechanisms does JHipster use to generate it's Code? I can't find any information regarding this topic on their website. I'm currently writing a Bachelors Thesis about JHipster and need some info about the "low-level" mechanics on Jhipster i.e how this works, or if there are some frameworks for generation in use which i can look into.
If StackOverflow is the wrong place for questions like this, please tell me where I can ask my questions.

I've been digging into the IBM Cloud Services, Watson and NLP. Just installed the CLI and tried with Node SDKs, and a starterkit, unfortunately I did not succeed by trying to get a sample code by default to understand how it works.
After that, I did some research get a better open minded approach to how actually I could use some of their free services to get started, but there's actually to vague information, even though the IBM Docs are pretty extensive and well written, it can get very confusing.
I would appreciate any open source repo, or working/live project that you are willing to share to make a better image in my mind about it IBM cloud services.

The README has instructions on how to get the apikey which is the way you will use to authenticate your API calls.

I am trying to override the a template Entity.java.ejs in my custom blueprint to add some extra functionality. Unfortunately JHipster uses its default one if generate an entity. I don’t want to overwrite the whole writing. Is there a possibility to override only certain ones and use JHipster default templates for the rest?

in this period I see an application jhipster with a partial custom .ejs defining a default for others components.
The problem is that the overriding is very huge, and cabled only for a specific version 6.9.1 of jhipster.
If this is a good idea to custom a particolar application with a particolar version and with a specific cabling code ok, but is not good if you want a generic custom generator jhipster context, where you can "inject" only custom files, giving overriding of all scope original generator.
I try to search some answers searching on web, and your question is anyway a good clue to define a better solution that I see now.
The problem that I see is that jhipster environment dont have a "handling" approach about .ejs templates, when is very strong and straighweird when you use .jdl file .
An easly customization of templates of any jhipster application created with command "jhipster", ad example.

an issue of original jhipster generator where someone consider a good idea to use "subgenerator" using yeoman to modulerize this templates and with all benefits.
This is a another clue to understand somethings.

I want to start a new project using tower.js, I did some research and I think it's very cool, but after I installed it and tried to generate a new project using tower new app I got this: Cookbook [app] not found. I know that tower changed the way the generators work and now are built from cookbooks, but I'm not really an expert on this kind of stuff, so I would like to get some recommendations about how to generate a new project?

As mentioned in another answer, Github is the best place to resolve issues and ask questions. We're not on the IRC either.
We've been currently putting a lot of effort into the client-side of things. Thus, the cookbooks aren't finished (the same goes for the new cookbook). We'll be bringing those pieces to standard very soon.
I have just imported a NodeJS project into Eclipse with VJET plugin. It seems nice that it understands some of the NodeJS but I don't like that it doesn't recognize Node-MySQL. Is there any documentation on how to write a project (like NodejsTL) to fill up that missing functionality? I could analyze NodejsTL one but if there is any documentation and tutorial - I wouldn't have to.

We started using the kohana project template from synapses studio :

It's great but the problem is that there is no real documentation for it and I haven't been able to find a good tutorial about it. Basically you need to read every modules' documentation to get an overview of it, quite a pain and complicated to accomplish.
I think what is missing here is a get-started tutorial....
Would someone know where to find info on how to start with it, like configuring the database and htaccesses etc, or maybe be able to write a simple tutorial on the first steps to get started?
