No voice output in simulator after update to 6.14 - bixby

After updating the IDE yesterday to 6.14, I'm not getting any audio in the simulator. On-device testing is fine, and remains unchanged, so it doesn't seem to an issue with my capsule. This could be something coincidental on my end with hardware (running OSX). Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm on OSX and running the latest version of the IDE: Version 6.14.0-r19m.9478
Maybe take a look at your simulator and ensure you have the speaker turned on?

Fingerprint sensor not working after updating to windows 10 1903. (Dell G3 3579)

Goodix Fingerprint sensor not working after windows 10 1903 update on my Dell G3 3579.
It worked while installing windows 10 1903 via iso (which failed to update otherwise), windows hello was all good during setup but after first boot then it just stopped working & driver shows error code 31 on device manager.
I tried updating everything & also tried reinstalling Goodix fingerprint driver but that didn't work either. The fingerprint worked fine on the previous 1809 update of windows 10.
..
images attached showing errors.
Just wanted to update it got fixed, without re-intalling windows.
I did a couple of things with a guy from nearest dell partner who provided me free technical support at their center, He guided me a little and I did a few things on my own. I don't know what fixed it but I'll go on chronologically.
First I downloaded a utility named UsbSafelyRemove and using this I stopped the power to the fingerprint sensor virtually without having to disconnect it, this removed it from devicemanager by preventing it from getting detected for current session. Then I uninstalled the sensor driver software and it was no longer detected aswell. Then I downgraded the bios using Dells Bios Tool, Meanwhile Microsoft or maybe Dell launched an un-logged/unscheduled automatic update and perhaps a possible patch for windows, I don't know if they did it or if it was windows on its own because it wasn't logged. I then restarted the computer, the sensor was detected and appropriate drivers were automatically installed, didn't check for error at this time. Then my antivirus software also found a simple PUP.Optional.OpenCandy malware, which shouldn't likely have any effect. I enabled Microphone for a skype call and just out of the blue the sensor error code 31 which I was checking for frequently, just disappeared. I have now upgraded my bios and the sensor still appears to work. I believe the miracle was due to the windows update most probably, just for reference I was on windows 10v.1909 before and even now, the update was minor a fix perhaps.
I still don't know what caused the error 31, & which particular update fixed the conflict, was it dell support software which was continuously on or windows, but I'm pretty sure its fixed.
Thanks to all those who helped for your time & support.

No sounds when using browsers

I updated my operating system to Windows 10 then I changed sounds to WASAPI. Now there is no sounds when using browsers (Chrome & Edge).
I succeeded to solve the problem. I found out that after "playing" few times with the sound settings they seem to change but actually nothing happens. So I rebooted my PC selected USB HEADSET ... as default device and everything started to work. Now it seems that this is a bug in Windows 10. Can someone else confirm this?

Android emulator constantly rebooting on Ubuntu Maverick

and thank you for your time.
I am using Titanium Appcelerator to write an app for Android, and as compared to Windows, where the emulator was quite stable, in Linux I get the following symptoms:
emulator restart with no reason, sometimes after a runtime error, sometimes right after launching my app, and sometimes just right after booting completely after being launched
emulator informs that "process $1 is not responding", where $1 is generally the system process, but sometimes may be acore, or the calendar. This may happen while installing my app on the emulator, right after loading it, or right after unlocking the screen.
As it is easy to imagine, testing code like this can be quite difficult, so I was wondering, has anyone else stumbled upon this problem, and/or know how it could be solved?
Thank you very much in advance, and pls let me know of any info I should provide.
Leo
You should verify that the emulator is working fine without Appcelerator first. Definitely update to the latest SDK (r8) and create a new emulator AVD and see if the problem is there without Appcelerator.
I think I found a solution, but I don't claim it is universally valid: I just erased the virtual device created under Titanium, changed the project file for it to use SDK 1.4.2, and had it launched again under 1.4.2. It certainly didn't build my app, but at least it created a new virtual device, which I use now to build against 1.5.0, working like a charm so far.
Thanks again Manfred for pointing me in the right direction!

Phonegap on iPhone 4 device

I have a PhoneGap app that works perfectly on the iPhone 3.2 simulator and also iPhone 3 and 3GS devices.
I have just downloaded and installed the latest iOS SDK, changed the settings in Project>Edit Project Settings to allow the application to work, and run it successfully within the iPhone 4 simulator and even the iPad simulator.
However when I run it on a provisioned iPhone 4 device, nothing seems to happen when I run it. I get the splash screen, but nothing happens after that. In the log I get this:-
2010-09-13 10:11:34.156 MyApp[89:307] Going to play default movie
2010-09-13 10:11:34.169 MyApp[89:307] Can't find filename default.mov in the app bundle

2010-09-13 10:11:35.037 MyApp[89:307] Free space is 15497396224
And nothing else!!
Really annoying. Anybody know what might be happening here? I tried fiddling with a few settings in the Project Settings but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Regards
Nick
Update - my problem. I had some external javascript which was crashing due to the way I was calling it from the HTML file. Weird that it only affected the iPhone/iPad device but not the simulators, but there you go....

Push Registry not working on nokia N86 after rebooting the phone; works on N97 and Expressmusic

I have written a simple midlet that invokes itself after a socket connection from a server program. I am using Push Registry to do this. It works fine on all the test phones I have immediately after installing. but if I reboot the phone, the push registry stops working on N86 whereas it is working on the other test phones that I have viz. N97 and ExpressMusic 5800. Has anyone faced such a problem before? Any kind of help will be appreciated.
btw, after going a little deep into the specifications of these phones, I found out that though all the phones are MIDP 2.1, N86 has Symbian OS v9.3 and the rest two have v9.4. Can that be the reason for the behavior of N86 ?
I did a hard reset (press *#7370#) on the phone (N86) and everything is working properly! I still don't know what the problem was!
Find the documentation of the error in nokia page:
http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/KIJ001317_-_Push_registrations_for_Bluetooth_MIDlet_turns_off_in_the_latest_S60_3rd_Edition_devices
The phones that are affected are:
Nokia E75, Nokia N78, Nokia N79, Nokia N96, Nokia 5630 XpressMusic, Nokia 6720 Classic, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
Worst of all, you say there is no solution.
