I'm new on using JHipster, I'm able to add new entity through jhipster import-jdl myentity.jh
The problem is my entity only shows up when I load the app through npm start which refers to localhost:9000
I want it to show on my localhost:8080 so I don't need to start another terminal. I've followed similar step through their tutorial video on here but can't get the same result.
No entity image
What i've did so far
gradle clean bootRun -Pdev -Pwebpack
for f in ``ls .jhipster``; do jhipster entity ${f%.*} --force ; done (regenerate all the entities)
Is there anything I miss while adding new entity?
Seems the issue is fixed by running npm install
Now my entities is showed up on localhost:8080

I have a problem that when I clone my repository of the app in angular, after installing the node_module and executing the ng serve it throws me this error and I have already looked for a thousand and one answers but none are correct, the app is from angular 8.1 and my angular global is 11 I do not know if it can influence, but it is with the only angular project that happens to me, at times the ng serve lifts the project and it can be seen but I barely make a modification and I give it save this error appears, I need help that advice me give?
enter image description here
I had the same problem.
I solved the problem by disabled the Angular Language Service for that workspace.
I hope this solves your problem
I could find the error, it turns out that VS code as editor every time I ran the npm install and then the ng serve ran perfect, one time I make a modification and give it ctrl + s it bugea my project and when I run the ng serve me again I get the error, so I had to clone my repository again and work with sublime text and it did not give me the error. It must have been some vscode plugin that makes this happen but it is with very few projects.
I'm kinda new to strapi. actually this the first time to try it. so i followed the documentation and was able to get the first page to work but admin page always go blank. sadly i don't know nodeJs or react so I'm not sure about what to do in here but seems there's something wrong with the permissions please check the attached image.
i've tried
npm install in the project root directory.
npm run setup in the project root directory.
as mentioned in this issue on github but it want's useful
I'm using
strapi 3 alpha
nodeJs 11
npm 6+
mariaDB 10.1
windows 10 64bit
I suggest you to clean the database your use. And when it's done, restart your Strapi server. It will re-create all table needed by Strapi.
So simply, I checked strapi website to find out that version 3 is out of the alpha status and then I installed the newer version and tried to use it and it did work so seems some bug was in the alpha edition which strapi team has fixed by themselves
I had a similar issue after setting up SSL on Digital Ocean one-click. I just ran npm run build. I did not do anything with the database.
I'm trying to deploy my node.js sails app on openshift. I followed procedure outlined in https://gist.github.com/mdunisch/4a56bdf972c2f708ccc6 but still doesn't work.
also try this: Node.js app on openshift
no matter what i'm getting "Service Temporarily Unavailable"
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. Error.
Hopefully someone can at least point me to the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
I have also deployed my application onto openshift and here are my steps
Create a node.js Cartridges 0.10
In the repo, please mention "https://github.com/ryanj/nodejs-custom-version-openshift" since my sails need npm version 1.4.0 and the original one is 1.3.X
git clone the repo
copy your file into that repo
Follow this page https://gist.github.com/mdunisch/4a56bdf972c2f708ccc6
The first two steps should be done if you haven't changed the original stuff. The only things is to change ".openshift/action_hooks/pre_start_nodejs" and append that at the end to make it is as a production and run the grunt
git add . and git push
It will automatically build and at the end will tell you deployment completed with status: success
I am also new but hope you can try. Thanks
One more things, if missing the step 5, you won't run the sails and can't see the log in the terminal and result in 503 on browser.
But I have another question after each push on openshift, you can see my log if you want to know what is the right status
Why mongodb is reset after push to openshift
Another suggestion is to ssh and make sure the npm -v is larger than 1.4.0, try to npm install -g npm to update the version.
If still fails, i will suggest to npm install sails -g and try to commit and look for the build..
I'm new to jhipster, I was wondering that if once I run the "yo jhipster" is there a way to go back and change some of the option selected? Example to enable Compass/SASS.
If I try to install a new generator (by calling "yo" alone), i'm not sure what to install. Compass-extension or Sass ? Or both or something else as well?
Thanks
You can change the file .yo-rc.json ("useCompass": true, etc) and then run yo jhipster in the root directory. Depends of the change in .yo.rc.json must to rerun entity generators with yo jhipster:entity <name>.
Found the answer on the JHipster site actually...maybe it just got added or simply that I can't read :)
https://jhipster.github.io/creating_an_entity.html (see section Generating an entity a second time)
I am trying to set up this repository locally https://github.com/lrdiv/ember-soundcloud and i have come across to this issue with broccoli-emblem-compiler. See the image in attached
From my understanding the broccoli-emblem-compiler is not able to compile my emblem templates and i don't know how i can figure it out.
These are all the steps i have done to install and set up the project with Ember-Cli
ember new soundcloud
ember install:addon ember-cli-coffeescript
ember install:npm broccoli-emblem-compiler
I have deleted the app folder and replace with the project https://github.com/lrdiv/ember-soundcloud that i have cloned
then i have installed the other node modules required
ember install:npm broccoli-static-compiler
ember install:npm broccoli-merge-trees
ember install:npm install body-parser
and at the end i run
ember server , and in my terminal i get that error i have attached.
What can i do now to sort this out? What's really the problem?
I did many things to try to fix this. One was replacing the project broccoli-emblem-compiler with this line in the project settings:
"broccoli-emblem-compiler": "git+https://github.com/cascalheira/broccoli-emblem-compiler.git"
At some time the error went away, I think it was when I used this repository. It is mentioned in the other issues.
I ran into problems with broccoli-emblem-compiler, but just had success with ember-cli-emblem-hbs-printer -
https://github.com/201-created/ember-cli-emblem-hbs-printer
I was able to solve this by specifying a version of emblem.js in my package.json file.
Specifically, I added the following line:
"emblem": "0.3.14"
