View in browser not loading current page - browser

I'm not sure what has changed, but I can no longer (right click -> View in Browser) and it loads the current page.
It loads the root (localhost).
In my web project properties, I have current page selected (see below)
I'm sure it is just a setting I am missing, or something, so I'm asking.
I have already tried to repair the installation also.
I am running Visual Studio 2013 (Update 5) on Windows 10. Any ideas?

VS 2017 - The Web Application Project [MyProject] is configured to use IIS. You do not have permission to access the IIS configuration FILE

My web application was working fine for months till today, don't know what has changed suddenly the project in my solution file says that it is "unavailable" when I open the solution. When I right-click on the web project and reload the project, I get the following error:.
The Web Application Project myproject.myapp.mywebproject is configured
to use IIS. You do not have permission to access the IIS configuration
file. Opening and creating web sites on IIS requires running visual
studio under Administrator account.
Note - All these months i was running visual studio normally(not under administrator account) and the application was working fine.
By seeing the above error i tried running my visual studio under administrator account and the project got loaded but the Source Control File Status beside all the files disappeared, i no longer see any blue lock icon beside any of the files and even when i edit any file also there is no status beside the file in my project and also when i right click on any of the file i don't see the view history option.
My project which was running successfully till now not loading the project. any suggestions on this ?
Browse to C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv and then double-click the “config” directory to get this warning dialog:
Click on the Continue button.
Do the same for the C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\export directory and also the other directories in C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv.
Now you will be able to open the Visual Studio Web Application Project without a problem.
Just run Visual Studio as an Administrator and the problem will be solved.
from the Start menu or when Visual Studio is open on the taskbar, right-click the VS icon.
in the context menu, right-click the visual studio icon again.
left click on properties.
advanced choice.
choose Run as administrator.

How to change localhost to custom url for a project in visual studio?

I am working on Outlook Web Addin (OWA) project and downloaded a sample project from internet that is just showing basic information of selected email. The email information is showing in a .html page and this .html page is showing in iFrame of OWA. Till this point everything is good and I can see the details and everything is handled by the project itself that I downloaded.
Now our main requirement is when user clicks on "Inbox" then I need to capture that event and do something. But the problem I am facing is the OWA is running in different domain and my .html page that is running using Visual Studio is running in different domain. I don't have control over OWA and if iFrame page and main page both are not in same domain then I can't execute my JS code for parent page elements.
OWA URL: https://inexyz.customdomain.com/owa/#path=/mail
iFrame url: https://localhost:12345/messageread.html
The problem I am facing is how can I run my AddIn project incustomdomain.com. If I host it on local IIS then while debugging how can I append my messageread.html page url to iframe? Is there any way to change localhost:12345 to customdomain.com while debuggin using visual studio.
To resolve the above problem I tried to change the project URL in Visual Studio. I've checked checkbox for "Override application root URL" and set custom url like "https://machinename.customdomain.com/messageread.html" and instead of "IIS Express" set "Local IIS", also created vistural directory for the same. If I try to brows the messageread.html page using virtual directory it's working fine but when I try to run solution (Web Addin project) it's showing "Deployment error" and in Error List window it shows nothing.
I am using Visual Studio 2015.
Exchange server 2013.
OS: Windows 10.
IIS: 10
Anyone any idea, how can I change project URL from visual studio instead of localhost:prot?

How do I prevent Visual Studio 2015 from launching a browser after publishing an asp.net application?

I am working on a site with a publishing profile that pushes the site to a remote host. After publishing I get a new browser window that navigates to the newly published site. This is ok in most circumstances but I am in a situation where I can't allow that last step to occur, I simply want to tell visual studio not to show me the website after publishing. I've checked all the publishing settings that I can find but haven't found any option to control this. Anyone have any ideas?
Does this information from Visual Studio 2013 still hold true for 2015?
http://www.asp.net/mvc/overview/deployment/visual-studio-web-deployment/deploying-to-iis
I can't check it myself, but essentially it says that in the 'connection' tab of the deploy dialog, the Destination URL setting isn't required. When Visual Studio finishes deploying the application, it automatically opens your default browser to this URL. If you don't want the browser to open automatically after deployment, leave this box blank.
Do you want to try that?
Update for Visual Studio 2019:
In the "Publish" page, look for "Configuration". On the right side, click the Pencil Icon.
In the next dialog, open the "Connection" tab, and empty the field "Destination URL".

I have made an application in visual studio 2012 and went under whole process of certification but the test failed, please give me the solution?

please guide me , how to change the default icon in the project in visual studio 2012 ?
due to that the certification test fails .
Due to this error I am not able to upload it to the windows store.
To change the default icon, first find or make an icon file. Then do this:
Go to the project properties. (Project menu.)
Select the Application pane. (Probably the first one.)
Go to the section Resources.
Check the option (radio) button Icon and manifest.
For the Icon field, use the browse button to select your icon file.
Save it, build it, try the certification test again.

How to Reset Remote Debugger Connections in VS2012 Once Set

In Visual Studio 2012, you can select Remote Machine from the Build Toolbar
On the first click, the Remote Debugger Connections dialog popups up and allows you to set where you're debugging against.
The problem is once the value has already been set, navigating to Remote Machine or right clicking anywhere on it will not allow you to change the original configuration.
The value from that popup is stored in your project file. You can access it by going to the Debug tab on your project properties. You can change the value there, or if you clear it out, you can get the popup again next time you navigate to remote debugger
