How to make SVGs responsive in WP 8.1? - svg

I have problem with SVG images in full responsive website.
On Android and iOS devices everything works properly and images looks good, but problem occurs only on Windows Phone devices.
Is there any solution for this?
How to reproduce a problem:
Open this webpage on Windows Phone 8.1 device in the default browser.

firstly its not an issue related to Windows Phone. Secondly the IE on WP8.1 is version 11 and not 10.
Open your URL on IE 11 on any desktop you will see the image starting to break. Minimize the IE windows to match its width to Phone size you can completely reproduce this issue.
Next step? You might have to open dev tool to chk the actual CSS HTML causing this issue and fix it. Make sure to use browser-specific css-rules . chk THIS SO link for more info.

Gear watchface styling outside of Tizen IDE easily possible?

I wanted to develop my own watchface for my Gear S2. I found some good documentation on downloading and using the Tizen IDE. All is well, but I'm finding the tweak css/html5-run/upload-switch faces-view-wash-rinse-repeat to be very tedious and time-consuming.
I know I can point my browser (Chrome) to my development workspace and load the index.html up and I surmise that I could tweak what I have, which came from the template to work in the browser if I made the sizes in the css static vs dynamic (absolute vs percentages). But is there a better way? Scouring the Internets Googles have yielded nothing too helpful yet.
moderators: this might be OT for this particular SO. If that's the case, I apologize. A nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, if so.
So, I was able to make a little progress on this myself. I am using Chrome in developer mode, which almost works perfectly when using the developer device emulator. To toggle the device emulator, open developer mode (windows: ctrl+shift+I, OS X: cmd+option+i) and when the tool window opens up, look for the little device button next to the element button in the upper left corner of the developer tools window. When the device emulator open, switch the resolution to 320x320 (top of the window next to "screen").
Now, open your index.html file for your project in Chrome, and you can at least muck around with your css styling.
Now to get around the whole issue of reloading your clock with the default clock in the Java emulator for Tizen, I was able to get my changes to automatically assert when running the new code. The way I did it, though I'm not sure if all of these steps were necessary was:
In the emulated watch:
1. set the screen timeout to 15 mins.
2. set the watch face to your development watch face
In the IDE:
1. when ready, use the button for smart launch (it's the blue button just to the left of the bug button in the tizen web IDE). This is in the Tizen SDK version 2.3.1 build 20150721-1440.
At the time of running your code -- making sure both your emulated watch is running too:
1. In the IDE, click the smart launch button
2. Click over to your emulated watch and make sure it's in focus.
It should update the watch face with your latest changes in realtime. This worked for me, so YMMV, but at least I didn't have to reload the watch face after asserting the latest version.

XPages mobile controls not working with iOS 8

We have a couple of simple apps that use the XPages mobile controls that no longer work on iOS 8 devices. Tapping on outline entries, dataview entries, buttons in the header, etc. doesn't seem to do anything. Tapping on a category to expand or collapse it in a categorized view is the only thing that seems to work. The apps are running on a Domino 9.0 server with the openntf essentials package installed. iOS 7 and Android devices work fine.
Anybody else having problems with the mobile controls and iOS 8?
I can confirm this problem with our apps that use the mobile controls as well. It seems to be an issue with Dojo 1.8 that is used by these controls. Debug on an iPad running iOS 8 reveals "Deprecated attempt to access property 'changedTouches' on a non-TouchEvent object." and "Typerror: Attempted to assign to readonly property." in Dojo.js:7956.
UPDATE: Got it working by copying Dojo 1.9.4 to the domino\js folder. Also had to add in the ibm and template folders into the dojo-1.9.4 folder. These were extracted from the xsp.dojo.jar file in the Domino\osgi\shared\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.xsp.dojo_9.0.1.20140801-1000 folder. Then had to restart the server. Restarting http by itself doesn't work.
IBM has just released 9.0.1 Fix Pack 2 Interim Fix 1 which fixes SPR PALT9P8JDG "XPage Mobile Controls Fail On iOS 8". The technote has been updated accordingly.

Opening app from different android Browser

Till now I have been using the default browser with my Samsung Galaxy S2. When Browsing if I found and clicked on a link that was from Wikipedia or IMDB for instance it would ask and give the choice if I wanted to open them in the "Internet" Browser or the installed IMDB/Wikipedia App. I have since tried other Browser Apps. (Firefox, Dolphin, Skyfire, Opera etc) and none of these appear to pop up with the option to open them in an app. They go straight to the website. The only app I have found that does offer the choice is Chrome, but it seems to crash a bit too often. Am just wondering if I am missing something in the the other browsers I have looked at. I like Dolphin and Firefox, but would like to see them offer the option to open sites in installed apps. Is there options to get them to do this? Thanks!
It is because those browsers (Firefox, Dolphin, Skyfire, Opera) you have tested at the end of 2012 don't support or have problems with calling external intents.
Here is the issue about implementation that feature on Firefox.

Win CE 6.0 run-time image after booting turns black screen

What can be the cause of my Windows CE 6.0 installation to turn to black screen after initial loading ? I built the Win CE 6.0 myself. After initial screen displaying Win CE 6.0 logo with progress bar reaching 100% the screen turns black.
Is there any way to debug, test or emulate the run time image before deploying.
I have not a real hardware in my development environment to test it.
I just built the image and sent to the client for testing.
I based the Win CE image on Board Support Package from the ICOP company. The target touch panel is ICOP with Vortex86DX chipset.
Every possible, permutation, combination results in black screen. I disabled all debuging techniques (KITL, ... ) without progress.
Please, give mi some advice where and how to find the problem.
Thanks in advance.
For all those who have similar problems as mine I will give the solution that worked for me.
In the Project properties\Building Options must be unchecked everything and specially KITL and all debugging options. In addition the project must be built in Release mode.

Phonegap on iPhone 4 device

I have a PhoneGap app that works perfectly on the iPhone 3.2 simulator and also iPhone 3 and 3GS devices.
I have just downloaded and installed the latest iOS SDK, changed the settings in Project>Edit Project Settings to allow the application to work, and run it successfully within the iPhone 4 simulator and even the iPad simulator.
However when I run it on a provisioned iPhone 4 device, nothing seems to happen when I run it. I get the splash screen, but nothing happens after that. In the log I get this:-
2010-09-13 10:11:34.156 MyApp[89:307] Going to play default movie
2010-09-13 10:11:34.169 MyApp[89:307] Can't find filename default.mov in the app bundle
2010-09-13 10:11:34.948 MyApp[89:307] Device initialization: DeviceInfo = {"name":"iPhone","uuid":"548444a41eee3aec9dd66511e12e6a6b1b277a2a","platform":"iPhone","gap":"0.9.0","version":"4.0.2"};
2010-09-13 10:11:35.022 MyApp[89:307] Docs Path:/var/mobile/Applications/D887FEA7-0C56-4991-890F-E790361A9D64/Documents
2010-09-13 10:11:35.037 MyApp[89:307] Free space is 15497396224
And nothing else!!
Really annoying. Anybody know what might be happening here? I tried fiddling with a few settings in the Project Settings but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Regards
Nick
Update - my problem. I had some external javascript which was crashing due to the way I was calling it from the HTML file. Weird that it only affected the iPhone/iPad device but not the simulators, but there you go....
