bootcamp - appleSSD.sys digital signature can not be verified - digital-signature

After installing windows in bootcamp, it pops up an error
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:...
...
File: \Windows\system32\drivers\AppleSSD.sys
Status: 0xc0000428
Info: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file.
Also, when I type "diskutil list", there is no name for windows.
In Disk Utility, the disk is named "Untitled" for windows.
Please help, any help will be appreciated.

Looks like Apple just forgot to digitally sign this file.

Here is the solution that worked perfectly for me:
"
Using Boot Camp Assistant, prepare the USB flash drive. Select the first two items and prepare the disk. Quit Boot Camp Assistant.
From the Finder, delete the $WinPE$ and Boot Camp folders from the FLASH DRIVE.
Expand the old Boot Camp drivers (they are a zip file) on your desktop.
Copy the $WinPE$ and Boot Camp folders to the FLASH DRIVE.
Reopen Boot Camp Assistant and select only the third option, install Windows
Sit back and relax as the installation proceeds.
"
You can find the old bootcamp drivers here: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1720?locale=en_US (make sure it's the right bootcamp for your mac model - the page has more info and the link to the other drivers if you need them instead)

The above answer worked for me but i got confused initially so I am rewriting the same in a more detailed manner, going step by step.
1.Using Boot Camp Assistant, prepare the USB flash drive. Select the first two items and prepare the disk. Quit Boot Camp Assistant.
2.From the bootable flash drive created, delete the 2 items- $WinPEDriver$ and BootCamp folders from the FLASH DRIVE. (These needs to be replaced by some old drivers, follow the next step).
3.You can download the old bootcamp drivers from here: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1720?locale=en_US (make sure it's the right bootcamp for your mac model - the page has more info and the link to the other drivers if you need them instead)
4.Unzip the downloaded file (old Boot Camp drivers) and Copy the $WinPE$ and Boot Camp folders to the FLASH DRIVE.
5.Restart the machine and install Windows.
Sit back, relax and let the magic happen.

Remove the history of a Drive in the registry windows 10

I'm familiar with windows systems, I work as a network admin with 7 enterprise, but this stumped me with one of my personal pc's.
I have a computer that is running windows 10 with 2 drive now, previously had a third one until it failed. I removed the D: drive and started downloading my games on my other one G: drive. I can not remove old installations of previously installed games on through app and features nor can I install games.
Example is fortnite, it says that it can not find D:...\fortnite...... Which makes sense since the drive is not in the computer. I have gone through the registry and removed (what I can see) all keys associated with the D: drive.
Is there a program or way to just remove all keys automatically associated with the missing drive? I tried CCleaner, Disk Cleanup, and one more my coworker recommended that I don't recall the name of. I ran Avast system check to see if it would notice the missing drive.
Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance.
Found an accidental solution, my little brother installed windows on the wrong computer so I guess this works.

Silicon Works Multi-touch Device, VID:PID 29bd:4101

I have a POS terminal (APEXA G from POSBank) that comes with multi-touch screen made by Silicon Works. The touch works perfectly on Windows there are official drivers for it. But for Linux the touch does not work at all. After inspecting the device on Linux Ubuntu distribution using [lsusb -v] command I get the follow information:
Silicon Works Multi-touch Device, VID:PID 29bd:4101
The touchscreen is connected through usb not serial connection.
I tried several generic drivers online but none of them worked for me.
After emailing POSBank technical support I received their quick response which solves my problem.
Following their instructions here is what I did:
1. Uninstall the old touch drivers:
- Lanuch Device Manager
- Human Interface Device -> Usb Input Device
- Remove a USB input device with a value of VID_29BD in the attribute (PID is 3711 or 4101)
2. install latest drivers chipset, LAN, touch, etc... (These drivers downloaded from POSBank official website)
-------------------------------------------------
Please note:
-You need Windows only to run the software that applies the touch firmware upgrade.
-Touch firmware v1.8 is still not available from POSBank official website yet
you have to contact technical support or email me.
-You Must Install SiW Daemon Control Panel to upgrade the firmware (it is included in the touch driver zip file from POSBank official website)
-------------------------------------------------
upgrade the touch firmware to V1.8 using instructions below:
Open SiW Daemon Control Panel
On device tab press F6
Select Multi-touch device 0
Click File open then select the firmware update file
Click FW update
After Ubuntu boots the touch should start working out of the box no special configuration is needed.
Note: After the upgrade the touch may not work on Windows. Don't Panic. You will hear a beeping sound every time you click on the screen which is a good sign. To fix do the following:
Open SiW Daemon Control Panel on the Device tap
select Multi-touch Device_0 then click Open Device
select Mouse table(2nd tap) and check Emulation Mode
select About tab and click Preserve Settings which preserves the settings through Windows restarts.
If you have any questions please let me know.
I am happy with their solution now touch works for me on Windows and Ubuntu.
Thank you POSBank and special thanks to Peter Kim from the technical support.

Loading ROMS to Emu OS

I recently downloaded Emu OS (a Linux distro) and installed it within virtual box. Everything works fine but I am unable to actually run the roms within an emulator. I tried a GBC rom that is in .zip format and I copied and pasted it into the GB and GBC folder, but the emulator itself isn;t able to recognize it. Does anyone have any experience with this or have gotten it to work?
One must simply drag the ROM file to the directory that is associated with the respective emulator. This can be done via the file manager. Afterwards, reboot and select the emulator that you desire and your game should show up in the list.
Note that EmuOS is extremely old and no longer maintained. RetroPi is a good alternative and putting ROMs on that is the same as EmuOS.

SD card detection issue in WEC7

I have purchased Openboard-AM335x board for development purposes for WIN CE platform.
I have gone through online guide to install WINCE on this board. I have installed visual studio, platform builder (WIN EC7), Phytec SDK (PD-13.2.0) and BSP. With this setup, i am able to create NK.bin file and load it to board.
My real problem is, SD card is not detected inside WIN CE OS. I have tried various options related to SDHC and SD BUS in catalog items inside visual studio. But have no luck, still it didn't work.
Please provide your suggestion/guidelines to solve this issue. Waiting for your feedback.
Thanks in advance.
Check that you included the "Device Drivers\SD\SD Bs" and "Device Drivers\SD Clients\SD Memory" components that you can find in the catalog under "Core OS\Windows Embedded" and the BSP-specific SD host driver. To access the SD card you'll have to include also the FAT filesystem that you can find under "File System and Data Store\Storage Manager".
If this doesn't solve your issue you can try to build a debug image and check the debug messages generated when you plug the SD card in.

Control a wince device from desktop

I would like to know if there is a tool simillar to mymobiler for Wince 5.0 which I can use to control the device from my desktop.
I use mymobiler (v1.25) but I believe it controls only devices running on WM5 and above.
Any help would be highly apprecited as the screen of my device has stopped working.
I use MyMobiler myself when I am coding for WinCE5.0 (not very often but I do know that it works.)
In your extracted MyMobiler zip file is three versions of remote.exe.
remote.exe
remote.exe.50
remote.exe.40
The only one I have gotten to work on wince5 is remote.exe.40
Just rename the existing remote.exe file (remote.exe.wm) [you may have to click tools, folder options, and uncheck hide extensions for known file types]
Next rename remote.exe.40 to remote.exe.
After that you are good to go. Copy remote.exe to the device through activesync (xp) or WMDC (>XP) and launch it on the device. It was a bit funny connecting for me the first time - I click connect on pc, then had to click the tray icon on the device, and click connect.
Good Luck!
Link to Video Showing it Running 1
This does work, the auto-install doesn't seem to work but if you copy the remote.exe over as mentioned (any location will do), then start remote.exe, click on the MYMobiler icon in the tray and select Connect, it will attach to your PC like the WinMobile version does.
Also, check the ini files in the MyMobiler directory. There's some details on the features/options.
I can confirm that Dave and Mike's solutions work on Windows CE 7 as well.
I was getting an error with the AYGSHELL.dll library when starting My Mobile after the gun was connected.
Run Mymobiler.exe before you connect the scanner to the PC and then connect to the PC using the tray icon from the gun. No error.
