In PowerBuilder, can I use an object as part of my menu? - object

Is it possible with menus 4 layers deep to set up a link to another menu? If I made the menu 2 layers deep and then set the link at the end to another menu (or to an object), it would be easier to keep track of when making modifications.
(The 4-layers deep menu was not my idea!)

TestComplete Menu Item

I am new to TestComplete. I have a question and it may be something impossible or too simple. I have a toolbar containg File, Edit, View, etc. I want to get one item (eg. Edit) to mapped objects. I can get the whole toolbar only. I want to simulate a click event on Edit. How can I do this?
As a rule, TestComplete does not work with menu items as with separate objects. It works with a menu object or even only with a menu's parent object and you can specify which item to select by passing the caption of this item to the corresponding method of a menu object. For example:
objMenu.Click("Edit|Paste");
// or
parent.MainMenu("Edit|Paste");

How can we create sub modules in boilerplate.js

I have a design,
Where Im having lots of products and then each product has lots of sub products.
So Now in the First Screen I want to show a dashboard which will show all of my products.
On click of each product I want to open a separate view with its own left side navigation bar and detail view. These will be my main modules
now options in left side menubar will be my sub-products. Now click of any subproduct. I want to change my detail view. These will be my sub modules
Please share some sample example if you have with yourself

BoilerplateJS supports having nested contexts. More information is available under 'Product Modules' section in boilerplatejs.org. A nested context can be created by passing the parent context in to the child context when creating it. You can create a context for each of your products. And within that context you can create modules, which will be your sub products. Having this type of a modular structure would help you in maintaining your code.
Implementing your requirement can be done in many ways.
One method is to structure the urls of your application as follows:
www.myapp.com/index.html#productA/submodule1
www.myapp.com/index.html#productB/submodule1
You can implement the menu as a seperate module, where it will change the menu that needs to be displayed according to the first portion (productA, productB) of your URL, and your sub modules can be activated/de-activated according to the rest of the URL portion. This method allows you to bookmark the pages and bring it to the same state when a bookmarked link is triggered.

OrchardCMS - Can't find correct alternative to render widget

I'm trying to add a image carousel to my CMS site and in the process learn about Alternatives.
I've go the following content types
BannerImage (TextField and a MediaPicker field)
ImageGallery (Container)
I've created a bunch of images, added them as 'Containables' to a new ImageGallery and
I then create a widget, put it in BeforeContent and it renders as an ugly list (default rendering)
I have been able to customize the images by using the alternative Content-BannerImage.Summary.cshtml, sweet.. so far so good.
BUT I'm not able to customize the rendering of the ImageGallery at all. The alternative
Content-ImageGallery.Summary.cshtml or .Detail or even Widget-Container.cshtml do not work at all.
The alternative that IS being used is Widget.Wrapper.cshtml which came with the theme I'm using. I'm not able to find the correct alternative so I can prevent the ImageGallery from rendering it's name/title (which it does by default from the Widget.Wrapper.cshtml alternative.
Any help is greatly appreciated and before it's mentioned... I've read http://docs.orchardproject.net/Documentation/Accessing-and-rendering-shapes which is a great doco, but I'm too dumb to figure it out :)

To create an alternate (not alternative) for a widget, you first have to activate the Widget Alternates module.
Once you have done so, create your widget, and activate the Shape Tracing module. Go to the page where the widget appears, click on the shape tracing button on the bottom right corner to show the shape tracing and select your widget.
You should now see a list of possible alternates for your widget. Select one and click the link to create it. Now you just have to edit it to your taste.
Depending on how the image gallery module you're using is working, the shape that you need to override to render the list of images. It is probably the List shape that you need to change. SharePoint 2007 - add additional menu to Global Navigation in a Master Page

In the source code for a master page, there is a section that has the following ASP.NET item: . This contains the "Welcome (User Name)" and Site Actions menus.
How do I create an additional menu that is similar to the look and feel of the Welcome menu? I've tried to create Front End HTML that behaves similar to the out of the box SharePoint menus, but it isn't quite right. I would prefer to utilize an ASP.NET or SharePoint control that acts similar to the SharePoint menu if that is possible.
For example, is <SharePoint:AspMenu> the appropriate control to use?

i am sure you will get better answer than this but just wanted to point what i have done to do this
i have added javascript library (JQuery) (for some other reason ) and when time come to do this thing i just added a JQuery code that creates another item in the navigation list with appropriate style and css class with the needed link and caption.
You could try another instance of the PersonalActions control with a custom GroupId. But when the control is rendered, it might also say "Welcome, [User]" just like the original.

Winforms c# outlook like Interface

I have already asked the same question but in regards with MDI Application design. Now just for R&D purpose so that we can go with 2 solutions to our user. Can somebody plz help me out...
We are developing an OutLook Style Application using C# Winforms. In that application we are using Microsoft Table Control. Which is what we need to show our UI. In the left hand pane we have menu and in the right hand we are displaying our UserControl. Like CustomerManager. This UserControl is doing Adding, Updating, Deleting ect etc but we want to put the common action buttons, Like Add,Delete,Save on the top toolbar.
So far so good, Now what we need to acheve is regardless of UserControl. What ever UserControl is loaded in the MainForm's TableControl. When the save button is clicked it should process the data on that UserControl. Obviously we will write the logic of the Save Action on each UserControl.
Please help...

I may advice you the Krypton Toolkit. You will write an Outlook style app in seconds.
For all who ended up here like me in search of a free toolkit: As Vulkanino suggested to use Krypton, I loooked it up.
This is now open source Freeware and can be found unter: Krypton Toolkit
Create a Base user control that contains your Add, Delete, Save methods and events. Then create every other functional control that inherits from the Base control.
When you action the main toolbar buttons, you can safely cast each user control in your given container, to the Base user control.
