Does anyone know how to update intel HAXM from version 7.6.5 to 7.8.0 in Android Studio Electric Eel 2022.1.1 Patch 1 (Windows 10) - android-studio

Does anyone know how to force update Intel HAXM in the latest Android Studio for Windows as this version of Android Studio only seems to install an outdated version?
I have tried adding a repositories.cfg file linking to the latest HAXM file update in github but it does not pickup at all. I have used ChatGPT (not suppose to mention here) to look for solutions but nothing works. I want for the emulators to work smoothly in AVDManager without any lag or the GPU Driver Issue.

Android Studio: Virtual machine acceleration is out-of-date

Android Studio shows "Virtual machine acceleration driver is out-of-date", even though I just installed the latest version of haxm from github.
Does anyone know how to fix that?
I tried to install it with Android Studio, but it keeps getting errors.

Is it the normal behaviour for Android Studio to lose all settings after an upgrade via Jetbrains Toolbox?

I'm currently using Android Studio Chipmunk 2021.2.1 Patch 2 212.5712.43.2112.8815526, and would like to upgrade to the latest Android Studio Dolphin 2021.3.1.
Jetbrains Toolbox is providing an option for this upgrade.
However, when the new version gets installed and I open Android Studio, all the settings that I had before are lost, and it looks like a fresh install.
Plugins, themes, are all lost, and it seems like I need to re-install them.
Thankfully I'm able to rollback to the previous version for now.
In other Jetbrains IDEs, there's usually a prompt to migrate over from a previous installation. This isn't coming up with Android Studio.
Is this the normal behaviour for Android Studio? And if not, is there something I'm missing?

Android Studio Emulator gets killed on Mac OS 10.11.6

Issue: Emulator gets killed and do not get launched
What I have:
Mac El Capitain 10.11.6
Updated to Android Studio 4.0
Things I've tried:
"Mac OS X (such as 10.9), then you may need to use an older version of HAXM (6.1.2)". As Android Studio Developers help page suggests, I've tried to look for HAXM older than v7.0.0 on Github but could not find it, and installing v7.0.0 did not fix the issue either.
Syncing Gradle did not fix the issue
Clearing cache did not fix the issue
Changing graphics to "Software" did not fix the issue
Checked relevant SDK is intalled (built for 29 and chose 29)
Would anyone know how to fix this?

Android AVD run fails and HAXM install fails after SDK tools update

I just updated my android SDK tools to 26.1.1 as it was showing "Updates available", after that my AVD couldn't start, it gave following HAXM related error, although the HAXM was already installed and was working fine before the SDK tools update.
So I uninstalled the HAXM and tried to install it again, but the installation failed giving the following error :
Then I installed the HAXM separately, after downloading the latest ver from git repo (https://github.com/intel/haxm/releases/tag/v7.5.4)
It got installed properly, but still the AVD is failing with same error.
Following the current state of my SDK Tools :
I am working on Win 10 Pro, x86_64, 4GB RAM, Core i7-3517U
Problem solved, you need to go to SDK manager and update Android Emulator to version 29.3.2
then try to install en SDK manager Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator (HAXM installer)
and thats it.
all working fine again.
Android emulator

Android Studio emulator: ERROR: detected a hanging thread 'QEMU2 CPU1 thread'. on Windows

I am getting this error with Android Studio 3.0.1 on Windows 7.
I am well aware there is a similar question. However my Android Emulator is up to date at version 27.1.12 so the solution is irrelevant.
I had similar issue after installing 27.1.12.
The Android Emulator version is now 27.2.9 and your issue should be now fixed with this. Do update intel HAXM accelerator as well.
