Could we use new version of org.glassfish? - security

The IntelliJ IDEA told me that the current version we chose 4.0.1 has security vulnerability, and it recommends developer to upgrade org.glassfish to newer version.
Could we do that? I tested version 4.0.2, it works. But, would it still work for further lab/assignment?
Thanks.

Upgrading Rundeck from 3.0.27 to 3.4.7

We are trying to upgrade Rundeck version from 3.0.27 to the latest version (3.4.7)
We got below questions,
What is the approach to upgrade from 3.0.xxxx to 3.4.7? Could we do a direct upgrade or otherwise, if we have to run through multiple intermediary versions, what are those?
Does upgrading from 3.0.xxx to 3.4.7 fix the log4j vulnerability?
Please help to clarify above.
Thanks
Due to the big gap between 3.0.X and 3.4.X (and the upcoming 4.0.X) the best way to upgrade your instance is to create a fresh 3.4/4.0 instance and then import your projects and keys (exported previously), as a tip, try this on a non-prod environment first.
Rundeck 3.0.x uses log4j 1, so, even if the vulnerability doesn't affect explicitly the log4j 1.x EOL was in 2015 and isn't supported anymore, so, it's important to move to the latest version (Rundeck 3.4.10 at this moment).

Do we need to make code changes, if we are upgrading node-oracledb from version 5.0.1 to 5.2.0?

I have a oracle code, which was written when the version of node-oracleDB was 5.0.1. Do I need to make any code changes, if we upgrade to version 5.2.0?
It is impossible for anyone other than you or your team to answer that as we have no idea what your code looks like. Have you looked at the release notes between those versions to see what has changed?
The only way to be sure no changes are needed are to just test your application on the new version.

cassandra migration from version 3.9 to 3.0.X

we have a cassandra node with 3.9 version.
Is it possible to migrate to last stable version (3.0.11)?
(we dont use any special feature of 3.9.)
Please read downgrade session of this guide:
https://wiki.apache.org/cassandra/CompatibilityGuarantees
The main part:
Downgrading is only guaranteed within minor releases and only to the previous bug-fix release
Theoretically you can try downgrading 3.9 -> 3.7 -> 3.5... etc, but there is no grantees that this will work and will not do problems in the future. Test in some dev environment if you have to do it, or stay with 3.9...

I referred the below link but it is having v0.9, 0.9.3, beta1 and beta1+fixes releases.
https://github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-java
I referred the link to download SDK. But it is having only 0.9.0 like (azure-svc-mgmt-0.9.0) version
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/
Why the latest version SDK documentation not uploaded in azure site. Please give me some suggestion to get rid of this. Which version last stable release?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Rathidevi
Recently azure has released 1.0.0 as stable release and this Java SDK version is the latest stable version.
This version has changed drastically compared to older stable versions such as 0.9.0.
I would recommend you to upgrade you to new Java SDK version 1.0.0.

Local version of Achecker tool different than the online version

I installed the Achecker from http://www.atutor.ca/achecker/
and ran the guidelines to get a report.
Earlier we were doing the same with http://Achecker.ca
There are few guidelines are missing in the local version. They are not similar. Is there any difference and if yes is there a way to upgrade the techniques to latest on the local version.
The version from the Web site is the Achecker version 1.3 (25/11/2011).
See sourceforge history here:http://sourceforge.net/projects/achecker/files/achecker/
You can find on GitHub, a version of June 2014:
