Problems running Processing P2D and P3D in Linux - linux

I’d like to run Processing in an old computer (Acer ES1) with Xubuntu , but while everything seems to work fine, when I run sketches that use P2D or P3D I get the following error:
InternalError: XXX0 profile[2]: GL2 -> profileImpl GL3bc !!! not mapped
This happens with Processing 4.1.1. (as well as 4.0 and 3.5.4). In my understandings the issues is about an old bug that has been solved in the recent version for most of the machines, but not for mine. I suppose the bug should be related to this:
P3D don’t work on AMD dynamic switchable graphics #5308
I tried to follow all the possible workarounds suggested in the previous link but nothing worked out. The only thing I didn’t try and that I would avoid is downgrading the version, since I need to work with the latests.

ndarray is not C-contiguous issue by building a free program from source

I'm new for programming languages. I have build Ctrax programe from source, everything work except tracking part. The issue is a picture below:
I used UBUNTU 16.04 , python 2.7.12 and others for the program requirement. According to publisher, he said it could possibly be fixed by adding .ascontiguousarray() after the .astype() call in that final line from the error message. Since you have the code compiling, you could simply try it and see if it works. (https://docs.scipy.org/doc/numpy/reference/generated/numpy.ascontiguousarray.html)
I tried it but still confuse.
Please suggest, many thanks

TypeError after upgrading Node version

I'm trying to fix this problem for 6 hours now and I'm slowly starting to lose my mind, so please excuse my generic question.
First of all I am using:
Node: 8.10.0 | npm: 5.6.0 | Yarn: 1.5.1
I just upgraded my project to Node v8 and npm refused to install all dependencies, so i installed yarn which fixed the issue immediately.
My sources are compiled using Laravel Mix which utilises Webpack, Babel, ... internally.
Installing and compiling of my sources works perfectly fine now but for some reason my compiled js file is not working anymore (even if I downgrade to the previous Node version - 6.10.0).

I have aboslutely no ideas what this error means let alone what causes it.
I know that the error message is pretty generic and could probably mean a lot of things but hopefully someone knows what it means given my context.
Thanks!
#Ortomala Lokni's answer pushed me in the right direction.
For some reason I thought my problem was related to my build scripts, npm, webpack or anything of that sort, which - of course - it was not.
Event though it wasn't really an API change as he suggested there was simply a wrong call to the VueJS constructor in my JS file which, for some reason, had been ignored by a previous release of VueJs but apparently not by the current one.
For anyone experiencing some weird bugs that just don't make sense I recommend the following:
First of all: Determine what really is your problem - if it compiles it is most certainly not related to your JS build
Comment out all of your JS code in your main file
The error should be gone at this point
Narrow down the error by trying to uncomment line by line (or block by block) and test your code after each uncomment
Even though this steps might seem obvious you can easily forget about such simple thing because of the million things that could possibly break when working with modern JS.
Sometime when you upgrade libraries you have to adapt some code. As Javascript is not a typed language, the problem does't appears at compile time but at run time.
In your case, I suppose that you have a problem similar as this one.
Check which libraries yarn has upgraded and verify if some API has changed.

PHP framework AMPHP/THREAD no longer in use?

Was amphp/thread discontinued? amphp/amp is working perfectly but when I run ANY of the example coding from amphp/thread git, I get all kinds of errors. Not one example is working. I noticed last update was in 2014.
Is there any way for me to get amphp/thread working? Was it replaced? With what replacement?
I have php 7.0 installed on mac, built with thread safety. EV, EVENT, UV are all enabled.
My .jason file looks like this
"amphp/amp": "v0.17.0", "amphp/thread": "v0.8.1"
Much appreciated.
I found the answer to this question in a discussion here:
https://github.com/amphp/thread/issues/14
amphp/thread is no longer being supported but there is hope that it will be picked up again in the future to work with amphp/amp v2. No concrete timeline on when this will happen was given.
Also, amphp/parallel is considered to be the replacement for amphp/thread.

sys:1: Warning: g_hash_table_foreach: assertion 'version == hash_table->version' failed

When I tried the Tobii Pro Glasses SDK demo video_with_gaze.py, I came across this warning, and it did not show any result (ideally, it should show the video together with the gaze point). I guess maybe the glib version is not right, but I do not know how to correct it. Here is the demo code: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/b73399fdbce1d1e3c7c4d32eea82b31a
I use Ubuntu 14.04, and Python 2.7.
Thank you!
Generally that error means a table is being modified from multiple threads. The source you linked doesn't seem directly relevant and it is probably happening within GStreamer. It is a pretty vague issue though it doesn't help that you are using an old and unsupported version of GStreamer and pygtk.

PCL Visualizer demo interaction customization crashing on spinonce

I'm trying to get the PCL Visualizer demo examples to work (all code here: http://pointclouds.org/documentation/tutorials/pcl_visualizer.php) for Windows, PCL 1.6, 32 bits version.
It works fine except for the Interaction Customization part, which is ironically the one i'm most interested on. An unhandled exception occurs at the spinOnce(100) line on the main method. From the long search I've done, it looks like it is deeply connected to VTK not being thread safe and keyboard/mouse callbacks interfering with the VTK window. However, I don't think I've completely understood this and could be mistaken. I have found a very similar question here in stackoverflow (using "pcl::visualization" in different threads from different instance of a class) and I tried using scoped_locks around the spinonce, as he suggests, but I think I'm not doing it right.
Has anyone managed to fully use this example on win32? For reference, here is my poor attempt at locking the spinonce:
while (!viewer->wasStopped ())
{
boost::mutex vis_mutex; //storage for static lock
boost::mutex::scoped_lock lock(vis_mutex);
viewer->spinOnce ();
boost::this_thread::sleep (boost::posix_time::microseconds (100000));
}
Thanks in advance!
I am afraid that it may be related to the version of PCL.
Tutorials are made to match latest versions of PCL and since 1.6 things might have changed.
I recommend you to update to the latest PCL from github. (actually I use code from this tutorial on win64 right out of the box, no issues)
