I have an issue on my laptop. When I start or sometimes when I plug an usb the layout method changes from qwerty uk to a weird "qwfp"
My hardware + os version:
KDE plasma version : 5.26
framework : 5.98
Laptop: lenovo x230i
What I have tried so far :
The : ibus-setup, My first input method is english
inputmethod
To solve temporary the issue I can switch to U-S layout but at the next restart It will be the same
Someone knows how to definitely changes it ?

I have a very weird issue. I purchased the Logitech MX Keys Macintosh version. After settings up Pop OS by choosing the French Macinstosh version (which) is the correct one, the Logitech version swaps my # and < key strokes. When I connect a native Macintosh keyboard it works. Anyone any tip how I can fix this?
I had the same issue but not sure about the cause, pressing fn +p for 3 seconds seems to switch it back correctly.
Also, via the Logitech software:
disable the 'Always keep in mac-layout'.
i'm facing the following problem.
I use python with emacs on a mac with Catalina OS.
I try to get input from the keyboard in my python script (trhough psychopy library). It does not work, and i receive the following message:
HIDBuildMultiDeviceList: Couldn’t open IOHIDManager.PsychHID-ERROR: Could not enumerate and attach to all HID devices (HIDBuildDeviceList(0,0) failed)!
PsychHID-ERROR: One reason could be that some HID devices are already exclusively claimed by some 3rd party device drivers
I have a similar problem when i try to access the microphone. However, it works from within another editor. It seems that the problem is that i'm denied access to the keyboard (and mic) when running a python script.
Any help would be most welcome.
Best

I was experiencing the same problem, and restarting solved it!
I had code to play audio files and wait for a key on the keyboard to be hit. This code used to work, and then when I made some changes elsewhere in the code I started for the first time to experience this problem. Using the Python debugger in Terminal (python -m pdb myPsychopyCode.py) I tracked it down to occurring in the 2nd of these lines:
from psychopy.hardware import keyboard
kb = keyboard.Keyboard() # Set up a keyboard device
The error occurred replicably, whether I ran from the whole script or used it interactively in the python debugger. My fix was simply to restart! Thereafter the error messages stopped. I don't like this fix because it means I don't know what caused it or when it might happen again.

Im having some glitching issues while using JasperSoft Studio. (using the latest version from the AUR).Im using GNOME.
Steps to reproduce :
Add Text Field. Select it.
Go to Properties -> Borders -> Click on a border on the square.
The Pen Width (1.0 by default) appears for an instant and then "disappears" (Its still there as I can select it but i think the font color becomes white)
This can be temprorarily resolved by going to preferences and toggling the theme from classic -> GTK or vice versa. The resolution exists only for the current report and does not remain for other opened reports. Really annoying bug.
Ive tried Adwaita and GTK other themes etc...but no use. The bug persists.
I have a version 6.1.1 of Jaspersoft Studio on another machine running the latest UBUNTU GNOME and it works near perfectly.I tried running this version of Jasper on arch using various settings but it stops working as soon as I open a JRXML file. Nothing is clickable and I have to kill the process. I am guessing its a GTK issue.
I dont want to go back to using Ubuntu as I love the Arch experience. Can someone help me to run the AUR version of Arch without this glitch.
And if you think 6.1.1 should run fine on Arch...can someone help me overcome the GTK issue (Ive already tried export SWT_GTK3=0; but it doesnt work)
Thanks.
Try editing the runjss.sh script (probably in /opt/jaspersoftstudio) and add the line
export SWT_GTK3=0
Then try running JSS via that script and see if it helps.
I haven't had the same issue as you but I've been having a lot of Gnome-related problems and I'm using the same combination as your - Arch (Manjaro) and Gnome with JasperSoft Studio 6.4.3. Works perfectly since I added that line.
You can also edit the .desktop file to exec runjss instead of the default exec line.
I have Raspbian Debian Wheezy installed on my Raspberry Pi. I was trying to learn python in IDLE 3 but when I tried to type the Number symbol (aka Hashtag, Pound) it came out with "£", so I can't type the number symbol at all. Also this symbol " is now swapped with the #. I was trying to reconfigure my keyboard with "sudo raspi-config" but I don't know what my model for my keyboard is. I am not familiar with the logo. But in the back it says "98149 Multimedia Keyboard". Is there a way to remap my keyboard correctly?
P.S. The default selected model is Generic 105 key (Intl) PC
you can use this command
setxkbmap us
Sorry about my English skill. Currently, I am using Gnome 3 On the Fedora 19. (Sometime I switch to Cinnamon desktop :)). When I using Gnome 3, the window top bar is not uniform on all windows, but on Cinnamon, that is working well. If you know about that, pls tell me why and how to fix it!!! Thanks to much...

I had the same problem when install almost every theme on Fedora 19, Nautilus fails to respect gnome's theme settings. After some research, my best guess about why it happens is because most themes only support nautilus 3.6 but however in fedora 19 we have nautilus 3.8. And there is no way to downgrade.
(I also tried your theme from http://satya164.deviantart.com/art/Numix-GTK3-theme-360223962 and with no luck, it doesn't work for me either. I'll update if I find a way)
