Had my PC rebuilt due to a sign in issue with Azure. Ever since, I have been unable to sync a sharepoint site which is the main one I work in.
I go to the site contents folder online, select the main docuement library and click Sync on the top bar as shown below:
And every time, for this particular folder, I get this issue:
Other people are using and syncing this folder in exactly the same way without any problem. I can also sync any other folder without a problem, there is only this one important folder that seems impossible to sync. I can't create a new document library very easily as this will affect everyone. Any thoughts how to fix this?
Oh yeah and I've got the latest version of onedrive installed. In fact, when I click on that link, it takes me to an older version of onedrive which won't install as I've got a newer version.
Sometimes, the Microsoft Office Upload Center may affect the OneDrive for Business syncing with SharePoint library, it also may stop the SharePoint sync from progressing.
Try clearing cached files from Upload Center.

I am planning a big migration from Dropbox to Microsoft Onedrive but i noticed that Onedrive does not offer the same download logic as Dropbox. To be precise, we really liked the feature from dropbox where the files are pre-downloaded in your computer and when you really need them you dont have to download.
Unfortunatelly from what i see, Onedrive does not offer the same option.
The reason we are trying to do this, its to minize wait time when you really need the files.
Anyone who encountered this program?

By default onedrive data will be on cloud to save your local storage and for colloboration.
If you want to use it local, there is an option avaiable in onedrive after sync.
Right click on required folder > Always keep on this device.
Now these files will be aviable locally even onedrive sync offline.

You can use the Open with Explorer function to open the document library in Windows Explorer, where you can select all the files you want and simply copy them to your destination. Note that this function only works in Internet Explorer, not in Edge or any other browser. There are ways to make it kind of work in modern browsers, but that requires custom code. You can, however, save the location of the document library to the Quick access list to make it easier to find.
Another option seems to be the SharePoint Bulk File Download web part, but I believe this is a paid tool that must be purchased after the trial.
I use Open with Explorer all the time, but I have never tried the mentioned web part.
In a rather complex project the entire project team is encountering more and more problems regarding designer, like frequent crashes, exceeding of memory limits and- most annoying - problems with outdated project data:
quite often we observe that two different designer clients are showing different versions of project data (see below for a rough description of the environment).
A simple example: an hour ago a co-worker asked me to open and test a new Xpage she had created 15 minutes ago in her Designer. In my Designer client however the new Xpage was not present yet. right-clicking my application and hitting "refresh" brought up the new Xpage.
The problem hits the ceiling with design elements that we both are working on in turns (as in "are you currently working on xpage XXX? I'd like to add..."). So with this syncing delay the problem is obvious: If I foirget to manually sync my project before adding stuff I will overwrite the co-workers' codings.
We never had this problem before, although I have to admit that we never had to work in a team on such a massive project.
Here's the setup:
all designer clients are 9.0.1 FP6
everyone is working on the same project stored on the same server
everyone is working on the same network withion the same building, just door-to-door
Is there something we could do or check to improve this situation?
Lothar, you have stated three problems at once. I'll try dissect them.
Frequent crashes:
We experienced many, many crashes in our daily work after upgrading to Windows 10. I know it sounds silly, but one way it worked for us and successfully mitigated those crashes was installing IBM Designer into C:\IBM\Notes, instead of C:\Program Files\IBM\Notes.
Granting 'Full Access' to 'All Users' over that folder was also necessary.
Exceeding of memory limits: As jtomas correctly pointed out, default memory settings are not enough for heavy xpages development in Domino Designer. I would suggest going to vmarg.Xmx=-Xmx1024m.
Problems with outdated project data: I think there is no workaround for this problem because there is no problem. Domino Designer 9 is a Eclipse based software, and works like so.
Think about it: When working in Java projects, developers download (checkout) source files from a Source Control System (SVN, Git, etc) and work them locally. Whenever a developer modifies or create a file, another developer can see it only if:
a) The modified/new file has been uploaded (commit) to Source Control Repository; and
b) Other developers have synchronized (refresh) their local projects with the repository.
See, that's how Java development works and that's the way we should do it too. Upon opening a NSF file, Domino Designer breaks it down into many files, just like a Java project. Once locally saved into the Java Virtual File System, those files get updates only when you refresh the project. Silly, but it is what it is.
My recipe to a well succeeded Domino development team include:
1) Design locking: All developers must explicitly lock elements they will work on. We don't rely on implicit locks.
2) Communications: All members of the team must be immediately notified whenever a developer has made major updates to the project.
3) Source Control: Despite its pitfalls, we rely heavily on SVN as code repository. It's far from perfect, and merges don't work properly, but it's better than no control.

I'm not sure this will fix your syncing issue but I have found modifying the following 3 lines in your local Notes\framework\rcp\deploy\jvm.properties file to help with Designer performance when developing in XPages especially with large projects:
vmarg.Xmx=-Xmx512m
vmarg.Xms=-Xms48m
vmarg.Xmca=-Xmca512k
These are the memory limits I use. You can increase the limits just make sure they are a multiple of 4. You have to restart Notes & Designer for changes to take effect.
Alright, I am obviously missing something here. I have moved several websites over to Azure to take advantage of all that it has to offer. Traditionally our team has always used DreamWeaver to ftp up/down and such. What I don't understand is how I go about getting hooked up to an EXISTING site on Azure. I can easily setup and web deploy to a NEW site, but I am trying to give the rest of the team access to the sites I have setup and I am lost as to how to approach this.
I have tried the File > Open Web Site route, and the issue with that is it never then saves the project/info anywhere in VS, and we are required to hook back up to it each time.
All of our local sites are on a shared network drive, so we all access the same local resources. I thought I could simply pass them all the publish profiles and they could then import, get, and then edit and publish files... but it never gives the option to "get all files" from the server.

For multiple developer scenarios, it would be in your best interest to use a source control system such as Git or TFS. This will allow you not only to share the source across team members, but also give you the benefit of tracking changes and merging files that are modified across team members.
If you aren't comfortable with source control, you do still have access to the files via FTP or Secure FTP.
You could also use WebMatrix which has the concept of download from server built directly into the tooling.
I'm not sure if this should be posted here or over superuser, but how does one go about mirroring a Sharepoint 2007 site? I have admin access, and the mirror doesn't need to be nice and pretty; it just needs to be presentable and readable. Also, I need all the shared docs to be copied as well.
We use to have WinHTTrack to mirror the Sharepoint, but that broke a few months ago due to some of our recent security changes. I tried the username#password:domain method but that resulted no luck.
It depends a little bit on how and where you want to mirror it.
If you have a separate SharePoint farm (even a single server - one tier - farm), you can rely on backup / restore, export / import or content deployment to have another copy up and running that will be a mirror of the existing one.
If you want an offline version, depends on what kind of content you need (collaboration stuff ?) you can use Microsoft Groove 2007 that offers an offline mode for some of the targeted data.

If WinHTTrack did satisfy you, why not just fix it?
There are solutions around the web to have WinHTTrack work with NTLM authentication: http://forum.httrack.com/readmsg/7513/index.html
However the download link seems to be broken (geocities..), but you could try to search for NTML proxy solutions and try to setup your own.
