Open URL on right click with selected text in MS Teams - windows-10

Running Windows 10 & MS Teams
I am looking for a hack that will allow me to open a web site with the selected text concatenated to the end of the URL.
I work on a team and I get messages in MS Teams all the time asking me about ticket 23423. I would like to add a context menu in MS Teams that would allow me to select the ticket #, right click, select 'Open Ticket' & launch a preset URL.
So in the example above, the URL launched would be http://TicketSystem.domain.com?ID=23423 in the default browser.
Note - I do not have access to any of the admin features of MS Teams.

It's possible to build an app for Teams that would let you do this, as a Message Extension - see here for more: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/messaging-extensions/what-are-messaging-extensions?tabs=dotnet
I'm presuming, as you're asking this on Stack Overflow, that you have, or have access to, development skill to build something like this though.

How to create links to MS Teams tabs which can be used from within MSTeams on a page

In a MSTeams channel I have a tab which has a sharepoint page added to it. If it is important the sharepoint page resides within the same sharepoint site set up automatically by MS Teams for this team.
I want to use a sharepoint Quick Links web part to provide a link to another MSTeams channel tab.
Currently I am copying the link to the tab within the MSTeam desktop app. In the sharepoint Quick Link I am then pasting the link in the "From Another Link" choice of the Quick Link link.
This works if you click on these links within the Desktop App and if you use the Web Online version, however it does not work if you use the iOS MS Teams app.
Is there another way to link to channel tabs? There is this question and answer but this only applies to the web online application.
I see on the MS UserVoice that there is still no way to change the landing page when clicking on a channel. Am I correct? Here is the link to the UserVoice
I've been researching into this a bit but I can't find a good answer - I feel like Deeplinking should support this somehow, but I haven't got a clear answer. It's possible (but I've not tested it), that you can use standard Deep Link syntax, but use the App Id and Entity Id that you'd get from the Graph Api (e.g. here).
Another possibility is just to use an app that's more geared towards this, like Quicklinks (disclosure: I work on this app).

Using Sharepoint in a Corporate environment - Archiving and Workflows

I was recently put in charge of being "SharePoint Administrator" for my department. I am being tasked with the following:
Create a user friendly interface for end users (Done)
Create an auto-archive process for aged documents. (ISSUE)
Create an interactive workflow for certain reports requiring feedback from end user. (ISSUE)
SO - I am not new to SharePoint, but definitely new to the coding and back end admin component. I have searched to the ends of the internet but cannot find a step - by - step that doesn't require central admin access (I don't have it, and don't know how to obtain it).
My questions are:
Is there a way to set up auto-archive on SharePoint to archive to an external database such as LiveLink without having Central Admin Access? If so - please advise on steps to do so.
If NOT - Is there an alternative and can I set up auto archive to another list within the main SharePoint (I have found tutorials for this but can't seem to find any with step by step instructions so someone without advanced knowledge could go through the process).
Workflows - Am I able to upload data to the sharepoint and have a workflow that would send a notification externally (via outlook) to an enduser indicating action required on the data? The end user would then have to log in to the SharePoint, review the data and take whatever action is required (let's use checking a checkbox as an example of action required). From there - a notification would go to - say - a senior manager to then go in and access the data and check another box for their approval. From that point an email notification would go out that the workflow and item is completed and no further action is required.
I apologize for such a long set of questions, I just really want to understand this and feel like I am so close but just need a little more insight. If you can only answer part of this that's fine too!
Thanks so much to everyone!

How can I put my Instagram client into Live mode?

I downloaded Instagram yesterday so I could sign up and then created a new client which is currently in Sandbox mode. I have created a website which searches for certain hashtags across Twitter and Instagram and the only thing which holds me back from going live is that the Instagram client is still in sandbox mode.
The "Go Live" button is disabled and I have no idea what I need to do to get it enabled. The documentation doesn't say anything. It mentions somewhere that there is a review process, but I don't even see an option to submit my application for a review. How does that even work anyway, because my application is not a phone app. I have made a website which is mobile friendly but it doesn't even require a user login.
Any more information and clarification is much appreciated!
You have get your app reviewed by Instagram first.
Click Edit for your client, Click on the Permissions tab and submit for review. Once approved, u will be able to click Go Live
Since 17th of November, Instagram made his API more protected for spam/fraud/copycat apps.
You can read more about it here: https://www.instagram.com/about/legal/terms/api/
I put my application from last 12 days in Instagram Developer Console but not getting any reply from them so I found a new way to submit the app using below steps and It's work for me.
Old Process:-
I think there is some update related to the Instagram App review, please check below steps & screenshot you will get the idea of how to submit Instagram app from Sandbox to Live mode in the new updates.

4) Select the Instagram and click on Add button
5) Now you will be able to see one more menu in panel namely "Instagram" (More clarification see the attached screenshot)
6) Click on that and you will be able to see the list of permission in right side view
7) Select your respective permission which you require and submit the app for review.
[Note:- You need to give your .apk and .zip file accordingly android & iOS. You also need to submit screencast of your flow and especially to show the part which indicates why you need this permission]
This is the way for live mode after Instagram Platform Updated on June, 2016.
1) Manage Clients -> MANAGE -> Sandbox(Tab) -> Add user name to Sandbox User and Save.
2) Open the Permissions Tab and click Start a submission button to put your client into live mode.

After this process take how much time for live the instagarm

SharePoint CSOM: Open .docx file in Word Online (Office 365)

I have written some code to connect to a SharePoint online server and get a list of *.docx (Microsoft Word) files from a folder on there.
I then display this list of files in a web page and each file is a tag, so that the user can click on it and "open" the file.
When the user clicks on the file, it prompts the user to Open/Save the file (the standard IE/Chrome file open/save dialog). Instead, I want the file to open up in Word Online (in the same/separate browser tab).
I tried searching for possible API support online, but can't seem to find any. SharePoint Online itself seems to be able to do this. If you click on a .docx (or any other Office file), it will open it in Office 365 (provided you have that provisioned).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You need to add the appropriate parameters to the link that the user clicks on.
Have a look at an existing document library and see the links that it creates:
https://mytenant.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/WopiFrame.aspx?sourcedoc={1767368F-62FB-4C40-B3F2-C4EE44E88735}&file=My%20Document.doc&action=default
If the user is not licensed for Office 365, I think that they will still be offered a download. Not entirely sure though as we don't allow that on our tenancy. Certainly if they are only provisioned with SP Online and not the rest of O365, they can view the document online but cannot edit. Though recently we've seen people still able to edit - not yet sure if that is one of Microsoft's secret updates or a mistake by them.
RESPONSES TO COMMENTS:
When I say not provisioned in the rest of O365, I really meant that they were licensed for SharePoint but not anything else (a P2 license rather than an E3), that doesn't give rights to use the online (or iPad) editors. As far as I know, the only real way to test for that is to either try it or to use an Admin account to look at the license.
You cannot "pass credentials" to WOPI since credentials for Office 365 applications come from a separate system. You have to get credentials before you are allowed to access anything in Office 365. Basically Azure AD is the service & the login is done via login.microsoft.com, the login provides a token to your browser that is exchanged with the server on every request. To reuse an existing credential, you have to be using an application that "knows" you have already logged in. Typically, Microsoft use a helper application that picks up the login from IE if that's how you logged in and makes it available to other applications such as Office. If you are using Firefox to log in, IE & Office may not know that you have done so (though there is a plugin for FF that gets installed if you let it which does the same thing).
By the way, if you know how it REALLY works, please don't shoot me down for trying to simplify the process for others. :)

Team Foundation 2010 - Excel server workbook security prompts

When trying to open excel TFS reports from within Visual Studio we keep getting prompted by excel for security credentials. It says it is trying to connect to
'http://myserver.mydomain.com'.
When I open the project portal using the above domain name in a browser and then try to open the report I get the prompt.
When I use just the server name, in other words,
'http://myserver'
to access the report, the security prompt goes away.
How do I configure TFS (or Visual Studio or whatever) so that when opening excel TFS reports it uses just the server name?
I have definitely run into this one before. It's a safety feature for Excel paired with SharePoint Document Libraries.
Essentially, here are the steps to "trust" the site:
Open Excel
Open Excel Options from the Backstage View
Head to Trust Center on right side at the very bottom.
Click "Trust Center Settings"
Click Trusted Locations
There are several things you want to do here next. If you want to trust network locations then click that option to enable it.
If you want to add a new trusted location then click "Add new location..."
Type in the full URL for the new location and then choose the box for "Subfolders of this location are also trusted."
That should do it!
BTW - from my un, you can have your IT department send these settings to all computers on your Active Directory domain through global policies so others don't have to go through these steps. They can also add this site to the Intranet Sites group in Internet Explorer for everyone internally which should help out in other similar scenarios.
