Azure DevOps extension - redirect Url - azure

I would like to create a tab in Azure DevOps (either a header menu button or in Pipelines hub on the left side) that will be actually just a Wiki documentation. We are keeping all documents in wiki, so before creating Pipelines, we would like users to be able to get a button just to move them to Wiki hub link.
Option 1 - Pipelines hub on the left side
I am guided to go via html file that will be visualized, but if I use meta , we can get a frame inside of that tab. Since Pipeline tab is AzDO link and meta link is also Wiki from AzDO, my hubs and top header bar are duplicated - check out screenshot.
Option 1
Option 2 - When I used a target link in html, then I have an extra link to redirect. Check out my screenshot 2.
Option 2
Any good suggestion how to directly in the extension, integrate a redirect link to Wiki (with or without html).
Preferably this should be in a header menu button instead of Hub.
Thank you!

Showing custom badge or text on Azure DevOps Pipeline Summary Page

I have a requiement where I need to show custom badge or some kind of custom message somewhere on summary page (Pipelines -> Select Build -> Summary Page) of Azure DevOps build Pipeline based on code coverage or unit test or static code analysis.
Is it possible to customize summary page of build? I checked few links which suggest we cann't custmize summary page but create some extenions.
Please help.
There are a couple of options for adding information to the build results page that you could explore depending on the depth of information you'd like to display.
Option 1 - add a tag to the build to indicate some type of status. This can be done manually or programmatically (using a logging command) as part of the build itself which could contain additional logic and evaulations/conditions before adding a tag. Badges do appear at the top of the build results page and will show across all tabs.
Option 2 - as you did mention, extensions allow you to customize results and even show additional tabs and information on the build results page. There is a sample extension called Build Results Enhancer that can help get you started.

SharePoint 2013: Edit Renditions button missing

I've seen tutorials that claim there is an "Edit Renditions" button, and/or a Design tab on the ribbon with the option to edit renditions. However, I do not see either of these options. Please see below. The first image is what I see. (Note: Ribbon is not shown, but there is no Design tab, only Browse, Files, and Library tabs.) The second and third images are what I should be seeing, according to this and this.
First, make sure you meet the prerequisites to use this feature.
Prerequisites include:
Enable publishing features at the site collection level and site level.
Enable BLOB cache for your web application.
Use an asset library to store your images.
Please check the above, make sure you have configured them all. After that, when you click an image from the asset library, it will show as the following:
If you edit an image from an asset library on a page, the below will be displayed:
More information about image renditions, you can refer to the article.

Is there any possibility to create custom widget for Azure hosted API Management?

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/new-azure-api-management-developer-portal-is-now-generally-available/
Extensibility—The portal comes built into every API Management instance (excluding the Consumption tier). If you wish to extend the portal’s core functionality (for example, create your own widgets to fetch data from other sources), fork the GitHub repository, implement the code changes, and self-host your own modified version of the portal.
Is it so that we can't do custom widgets on Azure hosted Developer portal? If so, then this is a backstep from the legacy portal as there we could write custom HTML and JS to get custom features.
I believe still there are couple of things you can do.
Home page
The default Home page is filled with dummy content. You can either remove the whole sections with the content or keep the structure and adjust the elements one by one. Replace the generated text and images with your own and make sure the links point to desired locations.
Layouts
Replace the automatically generated logo in the navigation bar with your own image.
Edit the content of the portal, customize the website's look, and publish the changes.
Please refer https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/api-management/api-management-howto-developer-portal-customize and let me know how it goes
You can submit a pull request to the repository.
If you create a custom widget and this will be useful for many users it can be included in the default set of widgets.

SharePoint Online Hub Sites Navigation - top level menu item with no hyperlink

On the hub site top navigation, I cannot find a way to add a menu item without a link.
On all of the other SharePoint online menu editors, you can leave the URL blank and it will make the new item a label without a hyperlink. However, in the hub sites top navigation, if you leave the URL blank, the "OK" button is disabled. If you add "#" in the URL, it links to the site home page. This is a problem because users automatically click on a menu item when they want to see the children, resulting in a page reload.

Has anyone been able to successfully add a menu to their hub site with top level navigation items not linking to anywhere?
Yes, that is not supported OOTB. A valid URL seems like a must.
To get around this issue, you can make use of SPFx extensions based on links in term store.
After that, you can delete all the links in your hub site and then deploy this extension to sites associated to your hub. This will provide you will a consistent top navigation across site collections.
GitHub Link - Tenant Global NavBar Application Customizer
Use PS script from - Apply SPFx extensions to SharePoint Hub Sites using PnP PowerShell
When you deploy this extension, if the term has no link it acts like a label.
If the term has child links, it will open a dropdown showing those child links which can then be clicked.
Seems like an overkill but there seems to be no other option.
You can always guide and train your end users or content owners to hover the links and the dropdown for child links besides it before clicking, but it will require a mentality change on their part !

The new extension is not visible in Store

I noticed that from December 1 published extensions are not visible on the page https://chrome.google.com/webstore/ and google after such indexing is visible? Could it be some sort of algorithm update?
Or is it a temporary error?
You may want to try Updating a web app's Chrome Web Store listing with these steps:
Open the web app script in the script editor.
Click Publish > Register in Chrome Web Store. Click Edit store item. This will bring up the Edit Item form you filled out during publication.
Make the changes you want to the description, graphic assets or other settings.
Click Publish changes.
Visit the Chrome Web Store developer dashboard to see the publication status of your web app. Note that the publication process can take up to an hour to finish. Once the "Status" column says "Published", your web app will be available in the store.
In addition to that, you may also check the possible reasons why your item may not be showing in search.
If any of the given links doesn't help, I suggest that you submit your issue.
