I have a setup that is exporting all the json files generated from an API sent to an email address upon a request sent to a shared mailbox, but the thing is that currently logic app is sending out separate emails, one json per email, so it's 7 emails in my case.
My final solution would be sending all the json files in one email. Have tried to figure out the connector methods, but seems that I cannot find that out. Tried to Google of course, but no luck.
Would really appreciate any help!
Current setup looks like this:
Azure Logic App 1:
Azure Logic App 2:
You need to build an array of all of the attachments outside of the loop.
This is the flow I tested with ...
... the two important points are:
Construct an Attachments Array
As you can see, I've declared a variable at the top Attachments of type Array.
Get your blobs and then loop over each one of them.
Within the loop, get the contents of the blob and then add an object to the array that looks like the following JSON structure ...
This is the Peek Code of the array item, noting that I am encoding the content as base64 ...
{
"inputs": {
"name": "Attachments",
"value": {
"ContentBytes": "#{base64(body('Get_blob_content_(V2)'))}",
"Name": "#{items('For_Each_Blob')?['DisplayName']}"
}
}
}
Send the Email
Now, when you send the email, refer to the array as the contents of the Attachments parameter.
That should get the job done for you, it worked for me.
Have you tried adding the output of the GetBlob Content to an array or adding it into a string? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/logic-apps/logic-apps-create-variables-store-values#initialize-variable and then using this variable to create the email body?

I am creating a push notification server, and I am storing subscriptions in a JSON file, called clients.json. This is working just fine, and I am able to use fs.writeFile('clients.json', data, callback), which is working. The problem I am having is that if there are multiple instances of a subscription in the JSON file, the server sends a push event multiple times, for every instance of the subscription.
What I am trying now is to only write the subscription object to the file if it does not already exist in the file. I have tried the following:
if (!JSON.parse(fs.readFileSync('clients.json')).endpoints.includes(subscription)) {
clients.endpoints.push(subscription);
fs.writeFile('clients.json', JSON.stringify(clients), err=>{if(err){console.log(err)}});
}
Seems correct to me, but it doesn't seem to care about my condition, as the code block runs every time and the subscription is inserted to the file many times.
If it helps, this is clients.json:
{
"endpoints":[
/* Client subscriptions end up in this array */
]
}
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
In js only primitive types are compared by their values. If subscription is an object of any kind, it will return false when compared with another object, even when it contains the same data, because they are compared by object they reference.
I'm trying to retrieve an attached file (or files) from a record in Acumatica. I'm using the following example:
https://help-2021r1.acumatica.com/Help?ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=b1bc82ee-ae6b-442a-a369-863d98f14630
I've attached a file to the demo inventory stock item "AACOMPUT01".
Most of the code runs as expected, but when it gets to the code line:
JArray jFiles = jItem.Value<JArray>("files");
it returns null for the jFiles JArray - as if there are no files attached.
Is there something wrong with this example - or something I need to add to get it to work?
I'm using 2021 R1 (21.107.0023), and the endpoint is default 20.200.001...
Thanks...
Execute a GET request on StockItem endpoint with the expand files option:
http://localhost/Acumatica/entity/Default/20.200.001/StockItem/AACOMPUT01?$expand=files
This returns the files array:
"files": [
{
"id": "bdb9534c-6aa9-41fa-a65d-3119e32b0fe5",
"filename": "Stock Items (AACOMPUT01)\\AACOMPUT01.jpg",
"href": "/Acumatica/entity/Default/20.200.001/files/bdb9534c-6aa9-41fa-a65d-3119e32b0fe5"
}
Use the href URL parameter value to issue the GET request which returns the file content:
http://localhost/Acumatica/entity/Default/20.200.001/files/bdb9534c-6aa9-41fa-a65d-3119e32b0fe5
Rephrasing question entirely, as first attempt was unclear.
In my logic app I am reading a .json from blob which contains:
{
"alpha": {
"url": "https://linktoalpha.com",
"meta": "This logic app does job aaaa"
},
"beta": {
"url": "https://linktobeta.com",
"meta": "This logic app does job beta"
},
"theta": {
"url": "https://linktotheta.com",
"meta": "This logic app does job theta"
}
}
I'm triggering the logic app with a http post which contains in the body:
{ "logicappname": "beta" }
But the value for 'logicappname' could be alpha, beta or theta. I now need to set a variable which contains the url value for 'beta'. How can this be achieved without jsonpath support?
I am already json parsing the file contents from the blob and this IS giving me the tokens... but I cannot see how to select the value I need. Would appreciate any assistance, thank you.
For your requirement, I think just use "Parse JSON" action to do it. Please refer to the steps below:
1. I upload a file testJson.json to my blob storage, then get it and parse it in my logic app.
2. We can see there are three url in the screenshot below. As you want to get the url value for beta, it is the second one, so we can choose the second one.
If you want to get the url value by the param logicappname from the "When a HTTP request is received" trigger, you can use a expression when you create the result variable.
In my screenshot, the expression is:
body('Parse_JSON')?[triggerBody()?['logicappname']]?['url']
As the description of your question is a little unclear and I'm confused about the meaning of I am already json parsing the file contents from the blob and this IS giving me the tokens, why is "tokens" involved in it ? And in the original question it seems you want to do it by jsonpath but in the latest description you said without jsonpath ? So if I misunderstand your question, please let me know. Thanks.
Not sure if I understand your question. But I believe you can use Pars Json action after the http trigger.
With this you will get a control over the incoming JSON message and you can choose the 'URL' value as a dynamic content in the subsequent actions.
Let me know if my understanding about your question is wrong.
I'm configuring some requests programmatically in my test cases, I can set headers, custom properties, teardown scripts, etc. however I can't find how to set a standard json body for my put requests.
Is there any possibility from the restMethod class ?
So far I end up getting the method used :
restService = testRunner.testCase.testSuite.project.getInterfaceAt(0)
resource = restService.getOperationByName(resource_name)
request = resource.getRequestAt(0)
httpMethod = request.getMethod()
if (httpMethod.toString().equals("PUT"))
but then I'm stuck trying to find how to set a standard body for my PUT requests.
I try with the getRequestParts() method but it didn't give me what I expected ...
can anyone help, please
thank you
Alexandre
I’ve managed this. I had a tests of tests where I wanted to squirt the content of interest into the “bare bones” request. Idea being that I can wrap this in a data driven test. Then, for each row in my data spreadsheet I pull in the request body for my test. At first I simply pulled the request from a data source value in my spreadsheet, but this became unmanageable in my spreadsheet.
So, another tactic. In my test data sheet (data source) I stored the file name that contains the payload I want to squirt in.
In the test itself, I put in a groovy step immediately before the the step I want to push the payload into.
The groovy script uses the data source to firstly get the file name containing the payload, I then read the contents of the file.
In the step I want to push the data into, I just use a get from data, e.g. {groovyStep#result}.
If this doesn’t completely make sense, let me know and I’ll update with screenshot when I have access to SoapUi.
I have an Azure MS SQL Server component that is returning multiple rows and feeding into a Response component.
The Body of the Response component looks like this:
{
"MyID":"#{body('Get_rows')['value'][1]['Id']}"
}
I can make the number in the bracket 0 and get the first result. I can make it 1 and get the second result. But what I am trying to find is the syntax to loop through all the results that are passed so that it would effectively provide the following (assuming there were 2 results total:
{
"MyID":"#{body('Get_rows')['value'][0]['Id']}"
}
{
"MyID":"#{body('Get_rows')['value'][1]['Id']}"
}
Thanks in advance for advice on where to find the correct syntax or for examples of correct syntax.
It took me a while but figured out that I needed to do two things:
I had to run a for each after the Get Rows and within that I created a Data Operations - Compose component. Within that I was able to create a single JSON object with all the parameters.
From there I used #outputs command as shown below in the Body of the Response and it inserted the array brackets and the commas to delimit the Compose entries automagically.
Here is what the code in the Body of the Response looks like:
#outputs('Compose')
Note that 'Compose' is the default name given to the first Compose component you place in the application.
