I'm pretty new to android studio and app developing. I ran into some problems after installing android studio and I don't have any solution yet after a day's google search.
I'm using windows 7 system, 32 bit.
1, my Preview panel doesn't show a phone layout (nexus 4, 5 etc.)
screenshot
2, after I click the green RUN button, it will show: waiting for device to come online and get stuck there.
Could anyone help me solve this problem please?
Perhaps your device hasn't installed correctly. Go to device manager, uninstall your device and then re-install it. Make sure your device allows debugging.
I'm using Android Studio on a Windows 10, and I'm trying to run an app I created. The emulator starts up with a black screen and then the word android pops up, but then nothing happens. I know other people have posted about this topic, but none of the solutions work. I don't have an actual phone, so I can't plug it into a real phone. What should I do here? Thanks in advance.
Try this

It's a much better emulator than what comes with Android Studio, and it should work. In fact, Google even has plug ins for it because they even admit it's much better.
I want to develop for Google Glass with Android Studio. I'm really new to it. When I connect Google Glass to my computer over USB, Android Studio does not recognize it ("no connected devices").
Android Studio recognizes when I'm connecting my mobile over USB, and my computer recognizes the glasses, but Android Studio cannot find the connection to the glasses. I of course enabled debugging on the glasses, and it's connected to my mobile. What am I doing wrong?
I had the same issue. I posted about it earlier this year on the Glass Explorers forum to ask for some help. I got a couple of responses, tried them, and this is what worked for me, posted by Kevin
"Are you running Windows? If so open the device manager and see what Glass is listed as, if it has an exclimation point right click and update driver software choose to search your computer for the driver and point it too the sdk>extras > google_usb folder (assuming you have updated the drivers in the sdk manager recently.
After this is done reboot the pc plug your Glass in let it install the drivers and if it is working properly you may get a prompt on Glass to trust this computer for debugging.. If this didnt work.
Go back to the device manager, glass should now be listed as an android adb device. Now click on this and choose to update driver software, then instead of pointing the the google_usb folder, click on the part below that "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my pc.." When you do this choose composite usb device and then it should recognize the Glass in adb. "
I hope this helps.
EDIT:
Another thing to try:
You need to make sure that you have the right drivers. The issue for me was that I needed to open the SDK manager and download the USB Drivers - go try that.
My device is ASUS K00z.
I connect it's to my PC for develop android app but in android studio not found device.
I set debugging mode to on.
In device manager show yellow exclamation of "Android" under "Other devices" root.
How to solve it's
PS. I use win7 64-bit
Try downloading the drivers from ASUS. I didn't find any 'k00z' on there, but it sounds like it may be the Fonepad 7 - they'll likely have different model numbers, so you'll need to know the specifics of your device and download the appropriate driver.
When I want to Run an app in my Android Studio, there is some weird phone (Motorola XT1052) shown as "connected". And I can even run an app on that device. However, I don't have and never had such phone. I don't have any phones connected via USB, and this Motorola is visible all the time, even after restarting the computer.
I used to have "ADB WIFI" plugin and I thought that it might be the cause, however, after uninstalling it, the device is still visible. How can I delete this device?
I'm having problems with emulator in general, I can't run any app as it always hangs on "waiting for target device to come online", so I wonder if that weird ghost phone might be the problem, since no other solution helped me with the emulator.
I finally got is so I figured I'd share what I've found out.
Look for some other emulators that might be running. In my case, it was a program called Bluestacks. Turns out you can actually install your own apps on it through Android Studio.
