poi 5.0 generated xlsx file RUN TO EMAIL APPENDS .TXT TO OUTPUT - apache-poi

We are generating the Excel file in our organization using poi. After upgrading to poi 5.0 from poi 3.17,output RUN TO EMAIL APPENDS .TXT along with xlsx extension. That is instead of .xlsx result is appearing as .xlsx.txt.
The attachment was removed from this email message because it matched a
blocked file type extension
The same set up works fine with poi 3.17,with no changes in mail server and OS.
Could you please have a look.

When report was downloaded from the Oracle ebs Excel report. While I am trying to open it was generating an error

The file format and extension of 'Accounts.xls' don't match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don't open it. Do you want to open it anyway?
It was generating this error while I am trying to open the downloaded excel report from the Oracle ebs
I don't know what to do
the Oracle EBS BI Publisher cannot create real xlsx Excel output files and generates and xml (xslt) format instead, which is given the extension xls to open automatically in Excel. Excel detects that the content does not match the expected binary xls format and shows the warning.
To avoid this problem, you can use third party products like blitz report.

Random character issue while generating a Excel file from XSA hana in Node.js application

I have Nodejs application running in XSA HANA System. The application will send the excel file to users as email attachment. The excel file contains different languages character. Users will use Microsoft excel to open the file, the file will open in format of encoding “1252: western European(Windows)”.Due to this the file will open with different characters rather than what was sent from the application.
I checked in Microsoft Excel to perform some setting at user end, if the file can be opened by default in "Unicode UTF-8" instead of "1252: western European(Windows)", which did not work as expected.
Now, I want to change the format of sending file, while opening, it can show the data with out any changes from user end.
I went through some blogs and identified changing the format of file during sending process helps and we tried changing the format to UTF-32 or UTF-BOM in the Nodejs code but it does not helped.
Attaching image reference what the exact issue is and the changes I tried.

Lotus notes will not launch with xls, xlsx, doc or docx attachments.

I have a ruby application that allows me to select documents for emailing. The app creates a batch file and downloads it. Clicking on the .bat file launches a notes email window with the attachments populated. When I try this it works fine for PDF, Jpg, and POTX files . However, doc, docx xls and xls give me an error of 'file does not exist'.
the string I am passing via a bat file looks like
"C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Lotus\Notes\notes.exe"
"Mailto:?Attach=\wwwroot\apps\technical_library\public\images\18\Presentation_template.potx?Attach=\wwwroot\apps\technical_library\public\images\31\FAX.doc?Attach=\wwwroot\apps\technical_library\public\images\32\FAX.docx"
If I try to send a bunch of images and pdfs, it creates the email with no problem.
I'm assuming that lotus is blocking the attachments because of 'active content'. How do I get lotus to accept the command line string with doc/xls attachments. ?

warning message in excel file

I code an asp file to response an excel file using Excel.Application object. I change the content type below.
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
When user downloads this file and open it, he get the following message.
The file format and extension of 'test.xls' don't match. The file
could be corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don't open
it. Do you want to open it anyway?
I don't want to give this message to use. How can I remove this message from excel file.
This is due to a feature in MS Excel called Extension Hardening. There are 2 ways to fix this problem
You need to generate proper XLS files that are truly excel files, not HTML Tables saved with XLS extension
Each of the client machines need a registry tweak as explained here

Detect correct file extension for OpenXmls?

If we have been provided only the XMLs of the document (in input stream, unzipped manner, or in a byte array), can we detect the file extension via parsing XMLs? My motive is to know what particular node in which XML determines that this is DOCX, PPTX, or XLSX file?
I unzipped the documents and tried to dig and found this -
In \docProps\app.xml, application node defines it -
<Application>Microsoft Excel</Application> for Excel,
<Application>Microsoft Office PowerPoint</Application> for PowerPoint, and
<Application>Microsoft Office Word</Application> for Word.
