Thunderbird duplicates Gmail structure? - gmail

I have a GMail account, from which I download my email in Thunderbird (in Linux), and keep it ordered locally.
I noticed that my backups are very slow, because Thunderbird has two big directories that get updated often:
11G /username/.thunderbird/k0aa999s.default/ImapMail
7.0G /username/.thunderbird/k0aa999s.default/Mail
under /username/.thunderbird/k0aa999s.default/Mail I have my local folder structure, but what is under ImapMail ?
I guess it is the corresponding email structure I have on the gmail server, but gmail reports that I'm using 5.67GB, not 11GB.
My 11GB are created by just 4 files:
1.6G Apr 22 09:55 Sent Mail
3.0G Apr 22 14:16 Trash
2.6G Apr 22 14:16 Important
4.3G Apr 22 14:20 All Mail
I saw it suggested to rebuild the folders in Thunderbird - I did it but nothing changed
What can I do? I dont need / want to replicate Gmail structure locally, I just want (and use) only what I have under /username/.thunderbird/k0aa999s.default/Mail

cPanel Webmail not receiving any email from other mail [closed]

I'm using name.com server. Recently I created some webmail's from cPanel Email Accounts. But sending mail from my email to other email is working but my mails not receiving mail from other mail services. I think this problem related with DNS. But I'm not sure. Ex. are below after sent mail from other mail to my webmail.

Make sure that you have the correct MX records set for your domain name. If necessary, ask your hosting provider to check if everything is okay with your domain name, as well as with the mail service on the server where your account is being hosted. If they lack support, then I would recommend looking for a managed hosting provider that can help you in such situations.

Apache James - E-mail is sent but can't fetch

I'm trying to setup a local Apache James mail server to development purposes but it is not working. Here is what I did so far:
Installed Apache James (v3.4.0), started service and added a user 'test#localhost'.
Setup account on Mozila Thunderbird and sent an e-mail to this address.
When I see the log, there is a message that e-mail has been spooled:

Is there any additional configuration to be done in order to send and fetch emails to/from local email server?

This is a version problem. Same at me with version 3.4.0. Try with version 3.3.0. It works OK.

Email received but sender get "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" after 5 days

I manage a server with Plesk 12.5 since a couple of years.
Everything (emails, websites, etc.) works perfectly with our main domain (let's call it myfirstdomain.com).
Since a couple of weeks, I added a new domain (let's cal it myseconddomain.fr) and everything seems to work too (emails and websites), except the following error: when a sender sends an email to us, he receives the following error after 5 days:
This is the mail system at host myfirstdomain.com.

You can see that the reporting-MTA is myfirstdomain.com, so maybe there is confusion between the two domains?
Here is our SPF:
"v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.google.com ip4:XX.XX.XX.XX ~all"
I will try with this update for the two domains:
"v=spf1 +a +mx +a:myfirstdomain.com +a:myseconddomain.fr include:_spf.google.com ip4:62.210.16.40 ~all "
Also, the email address is simply forwarding to a gmail address.
Do you please have any clue to look at?
If you can send mail from the domain, but not receive it, it's not related to SPF. SPF authenticates when you send mail, not receive it.
Have you ensured that an MX record is set up for the secondary domain?
You can test this using the terminal on Linux or macOS with host -t MX myseconddomain.fr
If you are on Windows, then open a command prompt, type nslookup. Then when in nslookup, switch to query MX types with set q=mx and press enter. Then enter your domain myseconddomain.frand press enter.
If the MX records looks correct, then it must be some configuration in Plesk. We can test this by trying to deliver mail ourselves with telnet.
Open a terminal/command prompt and type telnet <myserverIP> 25 and press enter. This connects to your mailserver. It should respond with a line beginning with 220, and it's hostname. Then you can try and deliver a simple test mail, let's say from account1#example.net
EHLO example.NET
MAIL FROM:<account1#example.net>
RCPT TO:<fabrice#myseconddomain.fr>
DATA
This is a test email. To test delivery.

QUIT
The first few lines introduces yourself, sender and receiver to the mail server. DATA indicates you want to start the body of your email. And the period on a line by itself indicates that you are done with the body. QUIT then terminates the connection.
Then watch what your server says in reply to each command. If you can successfully deliver this way, then it's like a problem with your MX record.
I don't know if you have solve this Problem. If you have please let me know. We have a similar error.
I found out that is has to do with the E-Mail-Header because it may have two domains in it because it gets forwarded. Google don't like this :)
Google has opened a thread about it and they say you can enter the Domain that forward to the gmail address so it is not detected as some kind of spam.
I can not test it because I it is an gmail account from an client and I have no access.
May my executions help. I hope you have an better answer.

How to check a email in linux server automatically?

I have a Ubuntu 14 server, I have to assign a email account to this server, when some person write a email to this account, the server have to open this mail automatically, and check if there are a specific information, if yes some thing happen.
I suppose that the email are stored in a data base o something like that, but I not have any idea how to start.
Any Idea
First you should get confident how mail systems work in general on linux machines. A good start would be to dig into the linux documentation project, particularly the linux electronic mail administrator HOWTO, chapter 3 (how electronic mail works): http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Mail-Administrator-HOWTO.html#toc3
Then, you can decide to which extent you want to set up your email account on the ubuntu server (full smtp server, only mail client etc).
As #arkascha mentions in his comment, the least painful way would be to use an existing mail server and fetch mail from there. With scripts, appropriate actions can be taken once a mail has been received.
If I have correctly understood your question, what you need is a mail alias to a command.
The following may depend on the actual mail server that you use, at least it is relevant for good old sendmail, and postfix. The mail system can use an alias database (normally the file /etc/aliases) but can be hashed into a binary version. This files can contains plain aliase that simply redirect a mail address to other mail addresses, and can also contain file aliases (the mail is appended to a local file) and program aliases.
In this last case (lines are like local_address: | /path/to/program), the program is started for each mail, and it receives the message through its standard input. Read the manual for your mail server for more detailed instructions.

Docusign Envelope Timeout using API

We are using Rest API V2 that we use a c# Winform application. We create an envelope with a document in it using the api. We then redirect user to a win form with a browser control (Internet Explorer). It worked without issue until late august and we had problems with some users getting logged out after 20-40 seconds while trying to add tags and templates. It started out with a few users having the issue and seems to be happening more often.
Additional Info.
It doesn't seem to matter on size of document / what you are doing . It happens if you are doing nothing or dragging and tagging etc. It seems to only happen on the preview screen that you can do the drag/tag. This is a sampe of the URL it times out to docusign.com/… – user3022205 Nov 26 at 18:57
