Example of issue
As shown in the image, suggestion for above created variable is not showing, but if i create a new function then i can access the variable.
I have tried reinstalling android studio,invalidate cache and restart, deleted AndroidStudio folder inside AppData folder as well
Im using android studio bumblebee patch 3
You can not use a variable directly their, if you want to IDE to show suggestion their you can reinitialize your variable with other variable like
var name="hello"
var newName = na(here comes the suggetion)
here the suggestion with your above variable should show or if you call this variable from inside any function it will show

I'm creating drafts of an app and I keep receiving the aforementioned error on numerous iterations. I feel like I might have mistakenly revalued the relevant string within the JRE / JDK somehow but I'm not 100% sure
I'm new to the game but have followed all recommended actions within Android Studio help prompts. And it keeps creating new strings within res->values->strings
not sure which section of code to include here
I expect this not to be an issue but it keeps reoccuring.
Please try adding a string resource in strings.xml at
<string name="todo">TODO</string>
The file is located at res/values/strings.xml.
Then rebuild the Android project through Ctrl+F9 key combination.
When using env. variable to pass the URL in Obj Studio and hence to Process Studio in Blue Prism, the process runs as expected but after the first Run the URL variable gets deleted from the Obj Studio and becomes blank. Hence while running second time it throws exception.
Any one faced this issue or Am I doing something wrong ?
firstly I would pass the Env. Variable to the process studio.
when you are building out the solution within the object studio create your input variable which will call for the env var from the main process. This way you know that you are always passing in the evn var to the correct page utilising it.
I am new to Android Studio, and everything was going fine until I received a nonsense error:
"Error:Execution failed for task ':app:processDebugResources'. > Duplicate symbol in table with resource type 'id' and symbol name 'title_conctact'"
I have no idea what it means and I have tried to fix it for two days. I tried uninstalling Android Studio which deleted all my progress, but still, the error remained. Please help, this is annoying. By the way, I am using the latest version 2.3.2.
hi after finding so much on web i don't get any solution so i tried myself to debug it and i got success to fix this issue you need to find the name in files in your case the name is title_conctact so you will get duplicate id's, now you need to rename and make them unique
that's it your problem will be fixed
I had the same issue. The issue I had was due to the keys declared differently in one of my module's resource file and my app's resource file.
In the module's strings.xml file, if you declare the key as 'title.conctact' and in the app's strings.xml file if you declare it as 'title_conctact', then you will face this error.
Changing it to a single format resolved my issue.
Double-clicking SHIFT will open a window. Put the title_conctact inside the search and you will find the .xml file that contains the duplicate id
I am working with minko and managed to compile MINKO SDK properly for 3 platforms (Linux, Android, HTML5) and build all tutorials / examples. Moving on to create my own project, I followed the instructions on how to use the existing skeleton project, then using an existing example project.
(I believe there is an error in the skeleton code at this line :
auto sceneManager = SceneManager::create(canvas->context()); //does not compile
where as the example file look like this :
auto sceneManager = SceneManager::create(canvas); //compile and generate binary
I was able to do so by modifying premake5.lua (to include more plugins) and calling script/solution_gmake_gcc.sh
to generate the make solution a week ago. Today, I tried to make a new project in a new folder but calling
script/solution_gmake_gcc.sh and script/clean failed with this error:
minko-master/skel_tut/mycode/premake5.lua:3: attempt to index global 'minko' (a nil value)
Now at premake5.lua line 3 there is this line : minko.project.solution(PROJECT_NAME),
however sine i am not familiar with lua at all, can anyone shed any light on the issue ?
What is supposed to be declared here, why is it failing suddenly... ?
(I can still modify,compile and run the code but i can't for example add more plug-ins)
PS: weirdly enough, the previously 'working' project is also failing at this point.
Thanks.
PROJECT_NAME = path.getname(os.getcwd())
minko.project.application("minko-tutorial-" .. PROJECT_NAME)
files { "src/**.cpp", "src/**.hpp", "asset/**" }
includedirs { "src" }
-- plugins
minko.plugin.enable("sdl")
minko.plugin.enable("assimp")
minko.plugin.enable("jpeg")
minko.plugin.enable("bullet")
minko.plugin.enable("png")
--html overlay
minko.plugin.enable("html-overlay")
Assuming that's indeed your project premake5.lua file (please us the code tags next time), you should have include "script" at the beginning of the file:
https://github.com/aerys/minko/blob/master/skeleton/premake5.lua#L1
If you don't have this line, it will not include script/premake5.lua which is in charge of including the SDK build system files that defines everything inside the minko Lua namespace/table. That's why you get that error.
I think you copy pasted one of the examples/tutorials premake5.lua file instead of modifying the one provided by the skeleton. The premake conf file of the examples/tutorials are different since they are included from the SDK premake files. But your app premake5.lua does the "opposite": it includes the SDK conf files rather than being included by them.
The best practice is to edit your app's copy of the skeleton's premake5.lua (instead of copy/pasting one from the examples/tutorials).
(I believe there is an error in the skeleton code at this line :
That's possible. Our build server doesn't test the skeleton code. That's a mistake we will fix ASAP to make sure it works properly.
script/solution_gmake_gcc.sh and script/clean failed with this error:
minko-master/skel_tut/mycode/premake5.lua:3: attempt to index global 'minko' (a nil value)
Could you copy/paste your premake5.lua file?
Also, what's the value you set for the MINKO_HOME env var? Maybe you've moved the SDK...
Note that instead of setting a global MINKO_HOME env var, you can also set the corresponding LUA constant at the very begining of your premake5.lua file.
My project is a mvc4 project in visual studio 2013 ultimate.
I tryd to send my project by following the steps :
File > Export template > (leave all the options as default)
I get a zip that i unpack. If i open the unpacked solution and run the program i get alot of errors. It looks like visual studio replaced all the text that contained the projectname with $safeprojectname$. How can i export the project without visual studio replacing all the 'projectname' spots so that i can run my program.
I tryed creating a new project (console application) with no code in it, if i export it and import it i get the same message first i get :
Warning 1 Load of property 'RootNamespace' failed. The string for the root namespace must be a valid identifier. SvenEind
and after running i get
190 errors 31 warnings
I tryd importing http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/getting-started-with-ef-5-using-mvc-4/building-the-ef5-mvc4-chapter-downloads and that worked for me.
So i guess the problem is in some kind of settings for exporting files.
replaced all the text that contained the projectname with $safeprojectname$
This is very much by design. You created a project template, a cookie-cutter for new projects. You are not supposed to do anything with the .zip archive. It should sit patiently in your "My Exported Templates" folder. Until the day arrives that you want to start a new project.
You then can pick the template instead of using one of the built-in ones that were preinstalled by the Visual Studio installer. Visual Studio prompts you for the project name. It then unzips the archive, copying the files into your new project directory. And modifies the files, $safeprojectname$ is substituted by the new project name you entered. You now have a good start for your new project, using the settings and assets that you saved earlier when you created the template.
Sounds like you had an entirely different use in mind, I can't guess at the intention from the question.
Hmmm. I got this error on Build:
The app manifest must be valid as per schema: Line 42, Column 18, Reason: '$safeprojectname$' violates pattern constraint of '([A-Za-z][A-Za-z0-9]*)(\.[A-Za-z][A-Za-z0-9]*)*'. The attribute 'Id' with value '$safeprojectname$' failed to parse.
So I grabbed the project name from the VS Configuration Manger and put it in the app manifest like this.
<Applications>
<Application
Id="CordovaApp.Windows10"
And the error went away and the project built. HTH.
