Recently I have updated the node version to 16+. Prior to that, I was able to trigger the yarn build command to create the build of my project.
But after installation of node 16+, the yarn build command is throwing the following errors
./lib/view-registration.js
Module not found: Error: Can't resolve 'hoisted/#msdyn365-commerce-modules/wishlist/dist/lib/modules/wishlist-items/wishlist-items.view.js' in 'H:\source\D365_eCommerce\lib'
# ./lib/view-registration.js 5:112769-113063
# ./node_modules/#msdyn365-commerce/bootloader/entry/client.js
# multi ./node_modules/#msdyn365-commerce/bootloader/entry/webpack-public-path.js ./node_modules/#msdyn365-commerce/bootloader/entry/client
It seems like it is trying to pick the module from the hoisted folder.
I am new to this concept so have no idea why it is targeting this folder in spite of this it should pick the module from '#msdyn365-commerce-modules/wishlist/dist/lib/modules/wishlist-items/wishlist-items.view.js' directly.
Any explanation would be appreciated.
How can I force it to not pick the module directly from the hoisted folder and use '#msdyn365-commerce-modules/wishlist/dist/lib/modules/wishlist-items/wishlist-items.view.js' directly
Thanks,
Aman
This issue mainly occurred due to the corrupt version of Node.
The only possible solution for this is to make sure that all the dependencies required for Node (16+) are also installed.
We can either download all the dependencies manually or just need to allow the node itself to download all the dependencies at the time of installation.
Thanks,
Aman
When I generate a nodejs-server with swagger 3.0.1 in the online tool https://editor.swagger.io/ and try to npm start the project I always get the following error:
Error: Cannot find module './middleware/swagger.router'
Short-term fix: you can get it to run until the maintainer of oas3-tools and Smartbear (for this server generator) fixes their respective parts.
PROBLEM A: oas3-tools build script isn't copying the 'middleware' over to the 'dist' directory.
To fix this:
Start your generated server (this will run npm install and create the dist folder in node_modules/oas3-tools)
Go into ./node_modules/oas3-tools and manually copy the missing src/middleware to the dist folder.
Now that you have a middleware folder in your dist folder, run the following typescript compile command against it: tsc dist/middleware/
PROBLEM B:
The next issue is a typo on the path to the swagger document is incorrect.
To fix this:
In the index.js file of your generated server, change the string 'api/openapi.yaml' to 'api/swagger.yaml'
POSSIBLE EXTRA PROBLEM:
You may need to manually transpile your .ts files. Please see #Alex's comment below if you also run into this (i.e. error TS6053: File 'dist/middleware/.ts' not found. Found 1 error)

Oas3-tools bug posted here: https://github.com/bug-hunters/oas3-tools/issues/17
The latest version of oas3-tools is 2.1.2 is screwed up. Use 2.0.2 for now.
oas3-tools : "2.0.2"
I'm trying trying to use a node module inside my Azure Functions project. I've tried following these instructions several times but still can't use the module I'm trying to bring in.
After bringing in my package.json and running npm install, I can see the node_modules folder (actual modules are located in node_modules/.staging). Upon restarting the function and trying to run it, I get Error: Cannot find module '_____'.
I'm following the instructions correctly. Any suggestions on how to get the modules to work?
You did everything correctly, after npm install, please wait for some time. Modules being in ./staging folder means the installation is still in progress.
You will see added packages prompt in console after the installation is finished.
Update--Avoid long time waiting for module install.
As #brettsam mentioned in comment, with azure-functions-pack tool(also a module), we can place all the modules in a single file, no need to install online and wait. You can search for your function name to find your function scripts if you want to edit after publication.
Trying to learn nodejs following a few articles. I'm able to download and make sure its working using a video from youtube. But now I'm trying to incorporate that in Visual Studio .net 4.5.2. I've tried to added it via new get package manager and the PM console each come back to same error.
"Install-Package: The specified path, file or both are to long. Less than 260 and directory name less than 248" Self explanatory, found this article
So I tried:
npm-flatten
npm-dedupe
also Enable Win32 long paths
It starts adding package npm 3.5.2 files and folders then bombs out and spits the same error. What else am I missing in order to get this package installed?
Thanks for any help
Having issues getting swiper.js to work. Requires grunt/bower. I'm completely new to js generators and am only able to get through about half the walkthrough before running into issues.
When I type $grunt dist into terminal, I get the following response: -bash: dist: command not found
What step am I missing?
Followed the idangerous steps to the letter: http://www.idangero.us/sliders/swiper/plugins/scrollbar.php
I have most often see "X command not found" for one of the following reasons:
The project's Grunt dependencies aren't installed or aren't installed properly
Your Gruntfile is mis-configured or missing
To fix this, first make sure there is a package.json file in your project. This will tell the npm what dependencies the project has and install them accordingly (assuming the package.json file is also configured correctly).
Next, make sure you have installed grunt correctly.
If you're still having issues, open your Gruntfile and search for:
grunt.registerTask('dist
This will show where the "dist" task is being defined. If you for some reason don't find it, then there's your problem. If you do find it, then check the proceeding commands inside square brackets that look like this:
grunt.registerTask('dist', ['clean', 'dist-css', 'copy:fonts', 'dist-js', 'dist-docs']);
'clean', 'dist-css', etc. are all other tasks defined in the Gruntfile, and there could be an issue with those as well.
If there's an issue with your package.json or Gruntfile, then trying re-installing the project with bower and repeat the above steps to ensure that it's not an issue on your end.
If it's not, then something is probably wrong with the author's source code.
