Bluesky statistics hanging when opening file - statistics

When trying to load a data file BlueSky hangs up. How do I escape when it does this? Hitting the esc key doesn't work. I have to reboot, which loses everything I've done up to that point.

You may want to use R code directly to load/open a file (e.g. CSV) into a data frame instead, to see if this is working.
Make sure to add the data frame to the “data grid”
so you can access it as a table on the GUI level.
Here I made an example to load directly from a SQLite database file: https://sqlite.org/forum/forumpost/9e85be8eaaa2416e992a386e994fc327518e79e4dd08befb994e126a97a91b18

Reprint a table in js terminal without a waterfall print or clearing console

JS has this great feature called console.table. It allows a list of objects to be displayed as a table.
Now I could like to create a simple little program that continously displays the same table just with updated values (individual values change very fast, so a re render only on change isn't an option)
So far I got the best results simply rendering one table after the other, which leaves the most recent table always at the bottom. The problem with this is that it fills the entire terminal extremely fast and as such makes scrolling back up difficult.
Another option would be to clear the terminal and the print the table again. But this leads to excessive "blinking" which makes the table unreadable.
So basically I would need a way to print the console.table, somehow get the terminal cursor back to the start of a table and the overwrite it, similar to how it works in a lot of terminal programms like htop. Is there a way to do this in node js?

PowerBI: Importing data from mixed folder files

I got a question related to the importing different files from the folder into Power Query (Power BI). When I say different, in my case are .xslx and .txt files. Actually just one text file but it is important to be inside report. Excel files are and will be always consistent as it is shown down in a first picture only with date as a dynamic part, but inside are consistently structured, so I just have to put it into folder and hit refresh into Power Query and magic.. that works fine, but I got also that .txt file which has completely different information but still connected to the report (because there is a field of date/time inside with additional information). My question is how or what is good approach to have all these files inside one or more queries?
As you can see on the second picture (from PQ editor) in the content part on the last position is .txt file, which I "isolated" when right click on it and "Add as a new query", and then I need to do editing and so on. Is there maybe another approach to solve this? One problem I discovered is when I change path of the file, all queries are refreshed but not this one with .txt - even though I changed path completely in the Advanced editor. Simply gives an error. Has anyone idea how to deal with different files from one folder, assuming that you need all the files from inside?
If you do not want 2 folders, your approach for isolating the txt is appropriate. about refreshing issues: if you expanded the data by clicking combine, Excel must have created other queries and parameters ("Sample from....") you must change the path in those queries too.

IBM Mainframe copy/paste

Disclaimer: I'm new to using Rumba to access IBM Mainframe.
I have currently set up a library for personal use and I have some code that I want to store in a member of this library, how can I copy/paste from a .txt file on my desktop into this program??? As of right now I can successfully copy/paste one line at a time from documents outside of Rumba.
There are various ways. The best one will depend upon the size of the file/amount of data to be transferred.
If it's only a few lines, block copy and paste should work, but you might have to play with Rumba's 'paste' edit settings such as how to handle new lines, etc.
Bigger files can be transferred with the TSO file transfer program ind£file (maybe ind$file on your system) which essentially copies a file to the screen and then Rumba 'scrapes' the screen for data to put into a file (this is for a mainframe-to-PC transfer; for going the other way the operation is reversed). This can be surprisingly quick.
Lastly there's FTP - either from the command line or via a program such as WinSCP.
Edit:
Based on your comment that the files are about 300 lines long, I'd look into using Rumba's file-transfer option using the ind$file utility. Once you have the files on one system, speak to your mainframe tech support team about the best way to get them to the other systems.
If you need help uploading the files, then the tech support team should be your first point of call.
What mainframe editor are you running? TSO/ISPF?
I copy and and paste from ".txt" files into ISPS all the time with no problem.
Select the text you want to copy (in the ".txt" file)
Press CTRL-C
Open the mainframe file using ISPF Edit (option 2).
Enter line command "Inn" at the line where where you want the copy to start.
(This inserts "nn" empty lines to receive the copied data. Personally, I usually use "nn"=20)
Position your cursor at the first character of the first empty line.
Press CTRL-V

How to notify the editor about document changes

I work on a custom project system and I have an issue with renaming items. The project system implementation is based on MPF and renaming items via the solution explorer worked more or less without any problems, but...
When an item gets renamed, I also update information which are stored in the file itself. In case the document is opened by the code editor, the text in the editor doesn´t get refreshed (only the document window´s caption changes to the new filename). If I save the open document all changes applied by the rename operation are overriden, of course.
How can I force the editor to reload the document, so that the automatic changes will be shown?
Assuming it's a text file versus some custom designer, use the IVsRunningDocumentTable interfaces to get the text buffer for the file that's currently open. The fourth iteration of the interface is the easiest one to use from managed code. You can call IsMonikerValid (where the "moniker" is the file name) to see if the file is open, and if so then call GetDocumentData to get the IVsTextBuffer for the file. That type itself is fairly annoying to work with, so if you're only supporting Visual Studio 2010 or later, then pass that to this function to get the newer editor APIs version of it.
As far as they "why" it's a good idea to do this: if you edit the file on disk and then try to force a reload, there are various problems you might run into. If the file wasn't saved before the rename, you might accidentally lose those unsaved edits. The reload might cause the undo history of the file to be lost, and any other extensions/features that were tracking points in the file with editor tracking spans or markers might lose the points they're tracking. Performance should be a bit better too if the file is a large file.

Trying to append the Excel file through unix via command prompt

What needs to be done?
I need to make a connection to the remote machine through UNIX, go to the shared drive, open an excel file, save it and close it. This needs to written in an script.
The file contains macros so they needs to be opened manually on daily basis, save it and close it. We plan to write a script that would run on daily basis and refresh this file automatically.
Where am i facing the issue?
Making a connection to the remote machine is done, after that i run certains commands:
1. Open the command prompt
2. cd the file path
3. Open the File
Now this is where the issue starts
How to save the file automatically?
How to close that file?
I tried using the taskill option and it almost worked but it gives out the popup of Do you want to save the file and i dont know how to provide output to that popup through command prompt.
Let me know if you have any idea on how to move ahead on this.
A bit hackish, but xdotool, a program which simulates mouse clicks and keyboard presses could be used. If Windows is being used, then see this question for tools which simulate mouse clicks and keyboard presses.
Have you tried SendKeys?
That may help.
