Where can I find Azure TCO calculator file format sample? - azure

I am trying to use Azure Total cost of ownership (TCO) calculator and could not find a link to documentation that provide details regarding what file formats are supported for bulk upload. Neither I could find any recommended sample Excel file format that I can readily use. Ideally these documents or sample file format should be on the Azure TCO calculator page itself. Any pointers in this regards will be greately appreciated.

I found the bulk upload tool template hidden in the wizard. It would have been nice to also provide link to this template on the main page of Azure TCO calculator. You have to click on Bulk Upload tool and step 1 provide the template for uploading your inventory/discovery data.

Is there an Azure platform service that can convert text from pdf files and save those unstructured data in database?

Our organization is migrating our routine work onto Azure Cloud platform. One of my works is using Python to read many pdf files and convert all the text/unstructured data into tables, e.g.
first column shows the file name and second column saves all the text data etc.
Just wondering is there a service in Azure platform that can achieve this automatically? I am new user to Azure, so not quite familiar with this. Thanks heaps if any help.
I would recommend looking at Azure Form Recognizer. You can train it to recognize tables and extract data from PDF files.

Power Automate: syncing sharepoint with google drive

I'm trying to dynamically update a file in google drive when the corresponding file with the same name is modified via SharePoint. Power Automate is being used to this.
However, I just cannot get a flow that works. Does anyone have a solution or some tips? I'd share some screenshots, but I don't think they'd be helpful.
Thank you

Office365 Excel as source for GCP BigQuery

We are using Office365 Excel and manually creating some data that we need in BigQuery. What solution would you create to automatically load the data from this excel to a table in bq? We are not allowed to use Google Sheets (which would solve all our problems).
We use Matillion and GCP products.
I have no idea how to solve this, and I don't find any information about this, so any suggestion or idea is appreciated.
Cheers,
Cris
You can save your data as csv and then load them to BigQuery.
Then, you can load data by using one of the following:
The Google Cloud Console
The bq command-line tool's bq load command
The API
The client libraries
Here you can find more details Loading data from local files
As a different approach, you can also try this other option:
BigQuery: loading excel file
For this you will need to use Google Drive and federated tables.
Basically you will upload your Excel files to Google Drive with the option "Convert uploaded files to Google Docs editor format" checked in your settings, and upload to BigQuery from Google Drive.

Use Sharepoint as Source for QnA Maker

If I understood well the link you can provide as input for a data source for the QnA maker has to be a ‘public’ one. This means that you can’t have a link to for example a folder on Sharepoint (or even a file on Sharepoint)? So what do I do in that case if I want to make a knowledge base based on lots of information on Sharepoint?
Per the the documentation on QnAMaker, they currently do not support authenticated data sources, such as those on SharePoint. The only way to use documents from SharePoint as knowledge-base data is to download the files manually from SharePoint, and then use QnAMaker's file-upload option to extract the question-answer pairs.
Bear in mind, the files must be in the supported format of .tsv, .pdf, .doc, .docx, or .xlsx. Also, as you've stated 'lots of information', QnAMaker does limit how many documents you can add to the free tier: 3 documents, up to 1MB per. The standard tier, which is $10/month, allows for unlimited documents.
Hope this helps!
i had a project where i have to publish qna pairs from sharepoint to the qna maker. what i did was to create an SPFX application and a web service that had to call the endpoints of the QnAMaker (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cognitive-services/qnamaker/quickstarts/csharp)
it was a bit of a hassle though since updating a qna maker item needs to have a specific string, one wrong syntax and it will cause an error.

Import data from CA Clarity into Excel using VBA

I am trying to download resource names and hours for a specific project from CA Clarity PPM using Excel. I need the macro to access clarity PPM(www.abcd.hosting.ca.com) using username and password and download resource details if login is correct. Any suggestions how this can be done using VBA?
Thanks for your help.
For every NSQL query that is created in Clarity a web service is also created. You could write something in VBA to authenticate to the web service and pull the information and then parse it appropriately.
Here is an example of VBA calling a web service:

See the question "Q : Web Services Interface (WSDL)"
If this can help other... I started the same work here but I am struggling myself to get information from Clarity ppm using their webservices...
