Is it possible to get a PDF of the Envelope History that you can view from the DocuSign website when viewing the Envelope details and clicking on the More menu and selecting History:
which has the list of Activities that can be easily printed or saved as a PDF?
It looks like the listAuditEvents API endpoint returns the corresponding data but I was hoping to get this as PDF like on the History page as well. Is this one of the Documents that can be downloaded for an Envelope?

No. But you just need to use the API call you noted, then create a PDF from the response data using one of the many PDF libraries available.

I need to create spfx button that will upload selected library item/document to new draft email as an attachment. I assume this needs to be done via Ms Graph API (pnp msgraph). Does anybody have samples or suggestions on how can this be done?
Regarding the SPFx button, you will need to create and SPFx ListView Command Set extension. This will enable you to add a button directly into the document library command bar.
This guide should help you with that.
Creating the draft email is a little harder. There are many solutions that you can use to send the mail. The Send Mail MSGraph action is one way.
However, a solution could be to build and launch a mailto: link in your SPFx extension that contains the URL to the selected file in the message body. Not quite an attachment but this would create the draft email and open it in the users email client.
Hopefully this helps get you started
I want to open a new page displaying a preview of a DocuSign template depending on the template ID without the need to log into DocuSign, is this possible?
I have not found any guide for doing this in their documents, What they offer though is creating a template inside your app which is not what I want to do since I only want to display a preview of the template for double checking.
I want to open a new page displaying a preview of a DocuSign template depending on the template ID without the need to log into DocuSign, is this possible?
Do you mean you want to see the preview of the PDF document(s) in the temolate, complete with the fields (tabs) placed on the page? If so, then unfortunately this can not be done.
If you want to get the documents that the template includes and then display them to your user, you can do that by using the TemplateDocuments: get method.
You can also retrieve other information about the template and then display it to your user.
I am using the Docusign-Connet to get the notifications form docusign. In docusign api there is a line
"It can also be used to transport the completed documents back to your app or website and to retrieve any form field data entered by your recipients"
but in payload I am getting only document names?.
If you want the connect messages to include the envelopes' documents or fields, check the boxes in the Connection Subscription screen (shown below from the New DocuSign Experience Admin tool).
Or set the fields includeDocumentFields and/or includeDocuments to true in your call to ConnectConfigurations: create
What i've done in the past is, get the document statuses from DocuSignConnect when things change. Then call EnvelopesApi.GetDocument endpoint with DocumentStatuses.DocumentStatus.ID and the envelope ID to retrieve the document.
In my implementation, we only download the document if the entire envelope is complete. This way, the DocuSignConnect payload is not big as well.
Btw, my implementation is in .net using their 2.1.9.0 library.
Good luck!
Few questions about PowerForms
What is the real advantage of using PowerForms? In which case(s) it is most useful?
In Docusign Classic View >> PowerForms, there is an option to download Form Data as XML and CSV. Can we download this data using APIs?
For this question, I referred this thread "Can We get a report for the values filled in radio button in DocuSign Envelope".
PowerForms are an easy way of referencing a DocuSign Template through the API without writing any code. They are intended for less technical end-users who want to quickly access a Template through either email delivery or through a direct link (URL) but don't know / want to code it up. Instead they manually initiate such requests through a created PowerForm.
With regards to the form data question- yes, you can programmatically retrieve the form data through the API. You need to keep in mind that DocuSign tabs (aka fields) are always with respect to recipients and not the document itself.
Therefore, you can make the Get Tab Information For Recipient API call (REST version linked).
I'm trying to download an unsigned envelope form a template.
The URL I'm hitting is https://demo.docusign.net/restapi/v2/accounts/{our account id}/envelopes/{envolopID}/documents/{documentId}. But this returns the empty template instead of the populated template. This seems to be the desired behavior but it looks like it is solvable. There isn't a clear explanation to how it was solved so I figured I'd ask again.
Are you using REST GET Documents to download docs from a DocuSign Envelope or Template? If from an envelope, you can enable the account setting in Features > Display SecureField initial value to all recipients. This will show the burned in initial values on the resulting PDF after the envelope is Sent. Downloading a Template's documents or a Draft (Created) Envelope's documents will not show these values. So if that is what you are trying to do, you'll want to get the tab values using the Get Tab Information for a Recipient call mentioned in the linked solution.
