Recalculate Acumatica Taxes and Discounts programmatically - acumatica

We programmatically sync orders that come in on our website into Acumatica. It seems that tax and discount recalculation is not triggered automatically. Is there a way to trigger these calculations via the REST API?

You need to extend the Web Service Endpoint to include the RecalculateDiscounts action

Actually, RecalculateDiscounts action does basically the same as defaulting mechanisms which should have been triggered upon insertion of document lines.
So, probably, it requires investifation why taxes (external or built-in?) were not caclulated automatically upon import

Automatically updating Shopify inventory item quantity

I have a Shopify store with rental products. Since Shopify doesn't handle return flows, the shop is connected to an external service, were the order is sent via an API to that service, which handles finalizing the rental and tracking it.
Now here is the problem, since the procedure is finalized outside of Shopify, the products are removed when rented, but not added when returned. this makes updating the shop manual. I am currently using Pipedream to handle my Web-hooks and requests, and it provides a service to change Inventory Level, but no direct way to update Shopify inventory. I know that the only way to update quantity in by getting InventoryItemID, and the only way to get that is by using ProductVarientID. I was able to acheive that using GraphQL, but I'd have to manually quary the InventoryItemID by using the ProductVarientIDs of my return orders from an API, and then use a mutation that does bulk inventory update to get the job done, but you can see, this is hardly automated.
Any thoughts and ideas are much appreciated.
If there is a way to do it using Pipedream, that's super.

Can Logic Apps Monitor a large number of calendars effectively?

PROBLEM
We want to track changes in user calendars, but are concerned with how often we'd need to check 2000+ user calendars (Outlook).
Would the process of monitoring over 2000 user calendars present a problem for our network?
WORKFLOW
Trigger (Check for calendar change) -> ACTION (Http: update a DB)
The Trigger below checks a calendar every 2 seconds. Is there a trigger that behaves like a "subscription" object where it simply handles a change notification?
For the question about how often to check the calendar events, it depends on your requirement. In my opinion, if you set check event every 2 seconds(it's a little bit more frequent), you'd better check if your logic app set as run in parallel. You can click the ... button of the trigger and click "Settings". Then check if it is same to below screenshot.
For your question about is there a trigger that behaves like a "subscription". I'm afraid it doesn't exist a trigger which can implement this requirement in logic app. We can also check if any backend api can implement it, we can see the graph api document.
The example in above screenshot is for mailFolders, but it's same with events. We can see it is necessary to specify a user(like me) or a group before the /events. So I don't think we can monitor the subscription events. You can raise a post on Azure feedback page to suggest developer add this feature.

Getting notification of sales/refunds done through Square POS/Connect

I would like to integrate my web application with the Square POS.
The goal would be to be notified each time a transaction (sale/refund/etc) is processed by Square for an account so that I can update inventory levels etc, ultimately so I can update inventory levels as transactions occur.
From what I can tell, it seems that the Square API's seem to be designed around my application initiating the transaction, then handing off to Square to process the payment. I simply want to be notified that a transaction has happened so that I can update inventory.
Is it possible to do this? Or is the Square API just for processing payments?
edit: After some more reading, I still haven't found a webhook to be notified, but it looks like I can ListTransactions, and RetrieveTransaction, so if I poll I should be ok.
You’re correct. Square’s API Webhooks will be what you’ll use to be notified each time a transaction is created or updated. We have a quick setup guide available in Square’s Developer Doc (https://docs.connect.squareup.com/api/connect/v1/?q=webhooks#setupwebhooks).
The PAYMENT_UPDATED webhook will alert you every time a payment is made, so that you can update your inventory.

Square API - Possible to have a callback after a successful order?

I have a business that uses the Square Stand and loves the functionality. They don't want to change anything about how they process orders.
However, they use CRM to do their email marketing and contact management. So they are currently manually inputting orders that are made from Square into their CRM.
What I would want to do for them is have them keep using their Square stand as usual, but on the back end have some script that gets called upon any time a successful order is made on their square stand, which will then use the CRM API to input the order automatically.
Is such a configuration possible? If not, what would be the workaround?
Square currently has a webhooks implementation that provides what you're asking for (notifications when a payment occurs). At present, it unfortunately does not include the full payment details, and so your script would need to call the payments API to obtain the full details when a payment occurs.

SharePoint Expiration Policy does not fire ItemDeleting Event Receiver

We have attached an ItemDeleting event receiver to a list that requires certain maintenance to be performed in other lists whenever an item is deleted. It works fine when an item is manually deleted by a user. However, if an item is deleted as a result of the Information Management Policy we have defined to delete expired items, the ItemDeleting handler is not executing. Is this standard MOSS behavior? If so, are there any suggested workarounds?
I would run a custom workflow using the policy, there you can define your own logic, which is what you probably try to achieve
