I am trying to respond to a button click on a website opened via Excel VBA.
The code below is trying to getting it working as a test with Duckduckgo.
The web page loads fine but I just cannot seem to get the onclick event, which I need to do to grab the values out of the text input elements that the user will have filled in.

After entering the value and click the search button, the VBA output looks as below:
As soon as cmdTest_Click completes, all its local variables are destroyed, including ieBut.
If you need that to hang around until someone clicks the button, you need to move
Dim ieBut As New clsIEButton
to the top of the module, outside of any Sub/Function.

I want to click on a "button" on a web page, but my problem is that this button doesn't seem to have link attach to it. By the way I'm phrasing this you can see I'm not familiar at all with the language of web browser.

It is within an input not a tag element so gathering a tags will not capture what you want. Using the id, as suggested in comments is one way to go. If you get element not found then check whether your element is within a parent frame or iframe which needs to be negotiated. General syntax for that is

getElementsByClassName returns an array-like object of all child elements which have all of the given class names, so I think it should be IE.document.getElementsByClassName("rc-content-buttons")(0).Click if it is the first element with the classname.
You could also try: IE.document.querySelector("div.rc-content-buttons input").Click.
And I think IE.document.getElementById("B91938241817236808").Click is also right.

You should use consistent variable naming in your code. If you put Option Explicit at the top of your code that will help.
You want to access the src attribute of the iframe to get the URL shown.
If you plan to use the new URL then you actually want the part before the "#". This means changing to:

I am trying to open a link on a webpage after logging in with VBA in excel. So far my code successfully opens the website and logs on. However, no examples I've seen in the forums seem to work for actually opening the next link.

I feel this should be something pretty simple like the following, but it hasn't worked:

The webpage loads, logs in and then... nothing happens.
So I got it to work finally. I apparently needed the webpage to finish loading and the simple "READYSTATE_COMPLETE" didn't cut it. So I ended up with this to make sure the page fully loaded:

And then I used the following code to select the link:
