How to convert an EXE file for Windows CE without Active Sync - windows-ce

I'm able to compile and use Active Sync 4.5 to copy and then run application files in a Windows CE based device. Whenever I copy a file to the device Active Sync will say it will convert the file.
This process of manually uploading the files using Active Sync is slow so I'm now sending the files directly using my application and a TCP sort of file receiver. File is being transferred fine (crc checked).
The problem is that the file does not run complaining with a generic message that the file cannot be opened. My first and only guess is related to this "conversion" process that Active Sync is doing.
I could not find any documentation related to what is is this process and how does it work. Is there any place I can find more information about this conversion? Or is there any tool that can pre-convert so I can transfer it?
The first idea about pre-convert was to copy the file to the device and the copy it back using Active Sync but when copying files out of Windows CE it will convert back to PC format.

Save file from the Azure AVD webclient to local machine

I have access to avd using webclient. When I open excel file and try to save it into my local machine I get an error and an empty tmp file is downloaded instead of the excel file.
When I copy an excel file to the download folder, it get it correctly. However not all users have access to windows desktop. So they can not copy to the download folder.
I used a Microsoft Remote desktop to do the same work and it works correctly when saving excel file.
Is it a limitation on when using web client or I missed a config on my browser?

How to recognize that file was uploaded

I am implementing a process that needs to be started when a file was copied (it uses linux). The file is uploaded by external system. I have noticed that file is visible after the copy operation started but the copying takes a few minutes.
How can I recognize taht the copy operation has been finished?

copy only new files to remote host after write is finished

I have a java application which is writing images to a directory.
I want to copy these images from external utility (not from the java application directly).
I can use scp and/or rsync or other (not sure which one to select) to copy on every, say 5sec interval(mostly using cron).
But the main problem here is to know when the write has been finished ?
For example, if the application write is on-going and the schedule ticks for copy, then the image copied will be corrupted.
So what utility should I go for & how can I make sure that the image copied is legit ?

How to read the new windowsupdate.log on Windows 2016?

I used to read windowsupdate.log file to troubleshoot issues on Windows Update process. In that file I could check when cab file was not signed or WUA was not running or not properly installed or if the system was using the Windows Update process or a third party tool. But starting with Windows 2016 the windowsupdate.log file was replaced by ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) as commented in this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=518345
The link also explains how to use a PowerShell script to convert ETW file in readable files. But the point is that even these "readable files" I cannot find how to extract the same information I got in the old windowsupdate.log file. The resulting file only provides a list of GUID files that I suppose the installed files.

Need help in developing a custom WebDav client using node.js

I am developing an open source application which should mount webdav share to local drive letter just like NETDRIVE and WEBDRIVE using node.js and electron-js, so in my application at present I am downloading all files from webdav share which takes a lot of time and not reliable for heavy data. Is there any other approach so that whenever user access a file, only that particular file should be fetched from webdav share, I’ve tried to display files meta data(dummy) structure in directory and kept that directory under file-watcher. So that when user tries to open a file then watcher should capture file open event to get which file was user trying to access, so that in background of application a service will triggered to fetch that particular file using file-path as reference, but none of them are unable to capture file open event. Is there any other approach to do so, correct me if I am in wrong direction.
Thank's
I think you want virtual file-system and recommend Dokan library.
Dokan is the start point of Windows virtual file-system application.
Open Source : Dokan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dokan_Library)
Commercial: EldoS CBFS (https://www.eldos.com/cbfs)
Google, Naver use Dokan and NetDrive, RaiDrive(mine) use CBFS.
