Creating Azure Elastic job agent throwing "DatabaseDoesNotExist" Error - azure

I am creating Azure Elastic jobs agent and I am attaching a newly created, fresh Azure SQL Database with it, but when I execute the process it gives me this error
"error": {
"code": "DatabaseDoesNotExist",
"message": "Database 'mydatabase' does not exist."
}
Previously we were created it successfully
Update:
Actually, the issue was we were selecting the wrong database (hyperscale) type. When select the following tier it worked perfectly

I tried to deploy the same resource and it deployed successfully for me. Please find the screenshot for the same below. I just simply created the SQL server on Azure, then create a Database inside it and used the same database in Elastic Job.
As per the official document Troubleshoot common Azure deployment errors, the Conflict error occurs when:
You're requesting an operation that isn't allowed in the resource's
current state. For example, disk resizing is allowed only when
creating a VM or when the VM is deallocated.
You can check if your database has been deployed successfully without any error. And once it is deployed, you create the elastic job agent using that database. Make sure your database configuration match the elastic job requirement and you have appropriate permissions.

Run ADX script on cluster scope with bicep

I use Azure Devops pipelines. You can run a script on the database level with Bicep, that is listed clearly in the documents. But I want to run a script on cluster level to update the workload_group policy to increase the allowed concurrent queries. But when running the query as part of the bicep deployment (on the database script property) to alter this it results in the following error:
Reason: Not a database-scope command
How can I run this query (that should indeed be run on a cluster level) as part of the bicep deployment? I use the following query, that does work when running it in the query window in Azure Portal.
.create-or-alter workload_group ['default'] ```
<<workgroupConfig>>
```.
I also know there are tasks for Azure Devops for running scripts against the database, but I would not like to use those since data explorer is in a private network and not accessible publicly.
I get 429 status code for microsoft.web/serverFarms when I create function App on azure
I have azure functions developed in node js. When I create a cloud instance for function app, it gets stuck on deployment process with all the resources OK status. Microsoft.Web/serverfarms returning 429. The error message reads as:
**"status"**: "Failed",
**"error"**: {
**"code"**: "429",
**"message"**: "App Service Plan Create operation is throttled for subscription <subcription_id>. Please contact support if issue persists.",
}
Please let me know what the possible solution will be for this
Turns out, you just need to create a new function application with different server location. and delete all the related instances of the previously deployed azure function.
Backup Windows server Azure VM new Azure Recovery Service Vault error code BMSUserErrorContainerObjectNotFound
I have a new vm, Operating system Windows (Windows Server 2016 Datacenter).
When I try to enable backup and select new Recovery Service Vault, I get deployment error:
Additional details from the underlying API that might be helpful: At least one resource deployment operation failed. Please list deployment operations for details. Please see https://aka.ms/DeployOperations for usage details.
My apologies for the delay in the response.
Were you able to resolve the issue?
If not, let's review it.
As I understood, you are enabling the Azure VM Back Up by following the next steps:
There could be multiple reasons why you are getting this failure.
Did you perform these steps manually using the Azure Portal? Template deployment? Scripting? I suspect most likely you are doing the template deployment or any kind of scripting and this one is the syntax issue.
Second thought, it was the transmitted issue due to the load of request on the Azure end. In this case, you need to retry the operation.
Additional question to ask, do you get the failure on one specific machine or all machines? Specific region?
Do you get the same failure when you use the existing vault?
If you still can provide information above, it's going to be helpful to narrow down the root cause.
I ran into this error as well today and I think it is is a Azure portal bug when enabling the Backup from the VM blade.
Instead, you can initiate a Backup from the "Recovery Services vaults" blade and add the VM to it.
Fail to create in-demand hadoop cluster in Azure Data Factory; additionalProperties is not active
It's my first time trying out the Azure data factory so I hope this is not a bad question to ask.
So I'm using the Azure portal trying to create an on-demand hadoop cluster as one of the linked service in Azure Data Factory following the steps in the tutorial.
But whenever I click create, the following error message pops up.
Failed to save HDinisghtLinkedService. Error: An additional property 'subnetName' has been specified but additionalProperties is not active.The relevant property is 'HDInsightOnDemandLinkedServiceTypeProperties'.The error occurred at the location 'body/properties/typeProperties' in the request.;An additional property 'virtualNetworkId' has been specified but additionalProperties is not active.The relevant property is 'HDInsightOnDemandLinkedServiceTypeProperties'.The error occurred at the location 'body/properties/typeProperties' in the request.
I couldn't understand why it requires the 'subnetName' and 'virtualNetworkId'. But I tried putting values under Advanced Properties -> Chose Vnet and Subnet -> From Azure subscription -> and put in the existing vitrual network ID and subnet name. But the problem still present and the same error message shows up.
Other background information:
For the tutorial I posted above, I did not use its powershell code. I have existing resource group and created a new storage account on the Azure portal.
I also created a new app registration in Azure Active Directory and retrieve principal service application ID and authentication key following this link
Some parameters:
Type: On-demand HDInsight
Azure Storage Linked Service: the one listed in the connection
Cluster size: 1 (for testing)
Service principal id/service principal key: described above
Version: 3.6
...
Any thoughts or anything I might be doing wrong?
From the error message, it clearly states that “subnetName” is not active, which means it has not created at all.
Note: If you want to create on-demand cluster within your Vnet, then first create Vnet and Subnet and the pass the following values.
Advanced Properties are not mandatory to create a on-demand cluster.
Have you tried created on-demand cluster without passing the Vnet and Subnet?
Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
Can't access database in Azure Portal - "This resource was not found"
I have an SQL database in Azure that I use with my API. I can access the database from SQL Server Management Studio, and it seemto be alright - I can select data, make modifications and whatever. Although, I can't access it from Azure Portal.
It doesn't appear when I list all resources in the Azure portal
When I select the database server from Azure Portal, I can see it under the list of available databases. When I click the specific database, I get the following error message:
"This resource was not found, it may have been deleted. /subscriptions/aee8966e-5891-40fb-8fff-8c359f43baee/resourceGroups/TestResourceGroup/providers/Microsoft.Sql/servers/testdbserver/databases/testdb"
Any ideas?
Update 2018-05-16:
Jerry Liu suggested renaming the database, so I logged into SQL Server Management Studio, and this is what I found:
I wasn't allowed to rename any of the databases on the server using right click --> Rename. The option is disabled.
ALTER DATABASE carbonate_prod_180508 Modify Name = carbonate_renamed;
Running this command, I get the error message "The source database 'carbonate_prod_180508' does not exist.". But I do see the database listed in the Object Explorer.
I also tried renaming it using Azure CLI. I find the database using "az sql db list" with the resource group name and server name, but when i run "az sql db rename" I get an error message stating the database was not found.
If you have done some operation like delete and recreate with same name or just move to another resource group, please wait a while for the operation to work completely.
Or if you have done nothing related, please try to rename your database in Management Studio and visit portal to check whether it's "back".
How to Rename SQL DB
Two methods for you to try
Click on database name twice slowly, or click once and push F2, just like we rename a file locally on Windows.
Create query on master database to execute alter operation.
Wait for about 30 seconds and refresh portal.
If none of them works, I recommend you to new a support request to Azure Team. It's the last blade in your Azure sql server panel.
