Arctic fox android app crashes on launch - React Native - android-studio

I have create react native project and trying writing native modules code using android studio.
Before that everything was smooth, up and running. Then was an update for android studio and I have upgraded it to arctic fox.
After that application start crashing without any reason, but gradle sync is happening properly.
I am using java 11.0.11 version

I had the same issue, for me to resolve and potentially for other people in the future...
Go to AVD manager
Remove the current device emulators
Rebuild emulators with selected versions
Let me know if this also works for others.

App built with Android Studio Arctic Fox doesn't run on Android devices

I lately upgrade Android studio from 4.2.x to Arctic Fox (on Ubuntu 20.04), did the required reconfiguration (mainly changing from JDK 8 to JDK 11), then rebuilt and installed the app (debug version) on Android devices (with Android 9 and Android 6). Everything seems to work without error, except that the debugger doesn't launch the app and I have to launch the app manually. But after I tap on the icon,
the app doesn't run on the devices, which only say "App isn't installed". I googled in the whole afternoon and got no references on that. What can be wrong? Am I the only one getting this problem?
OK I found the problem.
It turns out as Arctic Fox requires explicitly setting android:exported for all activities in AndroidManifest.xml. I set android:exported="false" to my default activity. Change it to "true" solved the problem.

How to configure an iOS Application for Kotlin Multiplatform in Android Studio?

I want to add a Run/Debug Configuration for an iOS Application for a Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile application in Android Studio 4.1.2. However, there seems to be a problem with the configuration for iOS.
In the screenshot below you can see the problem. In the dialog "Run/Debug Configuration" Android Studio complains about
Error: Please specify Xcode project location in xcodeproj property of gradle.properties
Using the "Fix" button does not solve the problem. Android Studio just adds an additional xcodeproj to gradle.properties and the complains about a duplicate parameter.
I also tried different paths (relative and absolute) for xcodeproj. No luck.
If I remember correctly, it used to work out of the box. A new Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile project was automatically configured for Android and iOS. I'm not sure what changed. Probably something was updated.
Is this a bug with the KMM plugin? Or is there something I can do on my system to fix this?
don't do that with Android Studio.
Just open Xcode, click on 'open another project...', locate to the iosApp folder that named it when creating your project on Android Studio.
after that, just click run and have fun.
If the project doesn't run right away even on opening it from Xcode and shows the shared framework is missing, Then try generating the shared framework for iOS platform using terminal. Navigate to the project folder and execute
Command: ./gradlew packForXcode
Now the shared framework should have a xcode-frameworks product and you should be able to build and run the project through Xcode.
I fixed it by downgrading the Kotlin version from 1.4.30 to 1.4.21. You can check this thread here. To downgrade, download the version you want from the plugin store and choose the install plugin from disk as in the picture below
Upgrading Android Studio version to 4.2.1, KMM plugin version to 0.2.6, creating new KMM project with KMM plugin, the problem can be fixed automatically.
If you don't wanna use Xcode:
Look like there is some IDE issues in this versions, one option would be to downgrade the Kotlin version.
What worked for me was to download the latest Canary Android Studio and setup my KMM project there.
Hopefully soon this will be stable for the next versions

How do I migrate my Flutter project from vscode to Android Studio?

I created my Flutter project by typing into my CLI Flutter create project_name and all this time I've been coding using VScode, and the project is near completion, which means I have to do a software demo in the coming days to my professors in university. However, I would need to open multiple android emulators that will run the same project, based on my brief research and testing, VScode does not allow running multiple android emulators that run the same project. So I have to transfer that project from VScode to Android Studio.
I've tried simply opening my Flutter folder in Android Studio and I'm getting gradle build errors. Any help would be appreciated thank you!
As long as you have the Flutter plugin installed in Android Studio, you can just open the folder like any other.
Though FWIW, I don't know if Android Studio supports debugging on multiple devices at the same time. It does work in VS Code (as shown at Flutter Interact with the "Flutter Octopus") if you're on the master channel (see https://github.com/flutter/flutter/wiki/Multi-device-debugging-in-VS-Code).

Uninstalling Android SDK Tools is stuck

I've been having some trouble setting up my laptop for Android development with React Native. Various sources told me that uninstalling and reinstalling my SDK tools will fix the issue (the issue was that the adb.exe was missing thanks to AVAST)
When trying to uninstall my SDK tools the uninstaller is stuck:
It's been saying Stopping ADB for at least 30 mins at the time of posting this and I cannot find other solutions for this.
Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Thanks.
I just need to be able to run my React Native apps in an Android virtual device.

emulator not showing up on android studio

I've searched all over the web for the past 3 days and can't seem to find a solution. I've done everything mentioned in this post:

It seems all the 'working' solutions to this problem has been stated in what this guy says he did in his original post, including restarting ADB server (kill and start), restarting my computer, reinstalling emulator and HAMX, installing and running as an admin, changing the timeout delay, reinstalling almost everything, making sure my emulator is installed, etc.
It keeps saying Gradle build finished in 475ms, etc and then waiting for target device to come online for like 5-10 minutes and nothing happens. No emulator shows up. I can't seem to find the solution to this and I am on the verge of giving up, I really need Android Studio to work so I can start on my app.
Can I please get some guidance with this?
If it's relevant, I'm using a Mac.
Have you tried this. Go to the emulator settings and set the Graphics Emulation mode to Software GLES. The default mode will be automatic. I am not sure how it works, but that worked for me on two Linux machines. Being software emulation, the performance of the emulator will not be as good as when using hardware graphics. It seems to be a bug with the SDK.
For me the only thing that worked in macos was to disable docker before starting Studio.
Wipe the data of your Android virtual Device and then start the emulator.
I was using Android studio 4.2 and faced this issue.
No Solutions worked for me so I just erased android studio files. Updated to Android Studio Arctic Fox.
