301 from not www to www all URL - .htaccess

I need to redirect all the URL not www with index.php in the path to the same in the www version.
I wrote this:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/index.php/it/(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.DOMAIN.it/$1/? [L,R=301]
but the result is:
https://www.DOMAIN.it/index.php/it/SOMETHING/
I need:
https://www.DOMAIN.it/SOMETHING/
what's wrong?

You can use this :
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/index.php/it/(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^index\.php/(.*)$ https://www.DOMAIN.it/$1/? [L,R=301]
The reason why index.php is appending to your redirected URL is because the regex (.*) matches the full URL path and you just need to match a specific part of the URL or everything that comes bafter /index.php .


Solved, I removed the request URL:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^(.*)\.domain\.it$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^index.php/it/(.*)$ https://www.domain.it/$1/ [R=301,L]

Redirecting a web folder directory to another htaccess

Sorry this has no doubt been asked multiple times before, I just want clarification that the following code will redirect any url on olddomain.com to the newdomain.com homepage not the equivalent url:

Both of attempts are not correct as first will redirect:
http://olddomain.com/foobar to http://newdomain.com/foobar
not to the homepage of newdomain. Same is the problem with 2nd rule.

redirect subdomain request to main domain using htaccess

here is what I do and works good:

Redirect variable page to variable subdomain wildcard

I am stuck on the follow htaccess situation.
I want to redirect pages to subdomains.
Url example right now;
http://domain.tld/user/foo
I need to redirect this to;
http://foo.domain.tld
The subdomain is genereated by wildcard.
I tried the follow without succes;

Generic htaccess redirect www to non-www

I would like to redirect www.example.com to example.com. The following htaccess code makes this happen:

But, is there a way to do this in a generic fashion without hardcoding the domain name?

I didn't see a complete answer. I use this to handle WWW inclusion.
Generic. Doesn't require domain info.
Forces WWW on primary domain: www.domain.com
Removes WWW on subdomains: sub.domain.com

There can be a lot of misinformation out there about htaccess redirects, I find. First off, make sure your site is running on Unix using Apache and not on a Windows host if you expect this code to work.

I used the above rule to fwd www to no www and it works fine for the homepage, however on the internal pages they are forwarding to /index.php

The only change vs Michael's is to remove the [NC], which produces the "AH00665" error:
NoCase option for non-regex pattern '-f' is not supported and will be ignored

The selected answer and many other solutions here dropped the the part of the url after /, so basically it always redirected to main domain, at least for me.. So i am adding working sample respecting full path after slash..

I am not sure why u want to remove www.
But reverse version would be:

And advantage of this script is:
if u have something like test.whattimein.com or any other (enviroments for developing/testing)
