When I select many images + image directories in Android Studio I can COPY this.
Then I view another project (Window->Project B) and want to PASTE the pictures. But this is not working.
How to proceed?
I am using Android Studio 4.2.1, my project is in Kotlin. I want to transfer all classes and images to another project, since MQTT doesn't work properly in one project but works perfect in the other project. Copying files to the other project should be simple...
Additional: Is it possible to change back to Eclipse maybe? Android Studio is taking a huge learning curve..

I have written a program using intellij and want to import the code into android studio but i can't find any tutorials that have this specifically.
I am only able to find using kotlin in andoid studio or convert from kotlin to java.
I know it will be easy and that I am not looking in the right places but could really do with a pointer, I have been trying to do it all day lol im starting to loose the will!
Thanks
Not sure if I understood your question correctly, but if you have a bunch of code files and wanna import your code into Android Studio, the easiest way is to just create a new Android Studio Kotlin project, copy your code files from your IntelliJ project to your new Android Studio project, then adjust the code for Android.
If you do it inside the programs instead of in the file explorer, it will even adjust the package names for you.
Here's what I mean exactly by inside the programs:
If you want to create an Android application with the code that you write in IntelliJ. You can create an app in Android Studio and paste the code in the right place(should be in onCreate method) and manage the way that you will show the result. Also you can create an Android application in IntelliJ with the Android plugin.
I started the studio and see such a picture, considering that all the classes are broken and everything is lit in red - the project is going and working. Help me fix it. Invalidate does not help. Instead of classes in general pieces of markup ...
Close Project
Try Removing .idea folder from your project.
Restart your project again in android studio
I have delete caches folder from C: Drive. after open project in an Android studio.
C:\Users\admin.AndroidStudio3.3\system\caches

I'm working on a project in Android Studio 3.1. I first had to create a .jar file with dependancies in IntelliJ 2017.2. I chose to do my programming in the IntelliJ IDE because I knew that Android Studio is based on IntelliJ.
But now I have a bunch of scratches (lots of notes and code) for my project that I assumed would be available in Android Studio, but they are not.
Is there a way to tell Android Studio to use the scratches from IntelliJ? I will have to be jumping back and forth more and more between IDE's in the future as the project develops.
It's is possible to specify a location for scratches using Help | Edit Custom Properties... and adding the following property there:
idea.scratch.path=~/Scratches
It is necessary to restart the IDE after you make changes there. You could specify the same location in both IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio. (You can of course choose your own path/location.) In this directory two further directories will be created by the IDE, "scratches" and "consoles". You can create these directories yourself if you already have scratches you wish to use.
I have recently switched to Android Studio and try to migrate an ADT project.
In the app/src/main/res/ directory I have the values, values-v11 and values-v14 folder. But in the Studio's Project view only the "values" folder is displayed. Why? How to resolve this?
Android Studio puts them by default into one view, physically there are still in different folders. If you want to change this, just change the project perspective in the project view on the left side.
What is the difference between creating a new directory and creating a new folder in Android Studio?
Here is an image of the menu choices:
Short answer
Use folder when adding a folder to an Android Studio project. This is what Android Studio calls them. Directory is what IntelliJ calls a folder. Android Studio is built on top IntelliJ so there is some naming confusion.
Long answer
Although there is a technical difference between a folder and a directory (see here and here), they are often (correctly or incorrectly) used interchangeably. This can be seen even in the titles of these two SO questions:
Setting a custom assets directory for unit testing in Android Studio
Adding an assets folder in Android Studio
This can be confusing to new users of Android Studio when they see both choices in the menu structure. Further confusion results when users add a new directory and then it doesn't show up in the Android folder view. See these questions for example:
Android Studio: Newly Created Directory Not Appearing In Folders View
New created "values" folder is not visible in Android Studio
The folders actually do show up if you select the Project or Packages view from the menu:
However if you want an Android folder to show up automatically in the Android view you need to right click and use New > Folder > Assets folder (if you are adding an assets folder). You could then add a subfolder like "fonts" to this by choosing the New > Directory option.
Android Studio is built on top of IntelliJ IDEA. IntelliJ itself has a menu option to add a directory (as you can see here). But Android stores files in what it calls folders. So when these two platforms are put together in Android Studio, there gets to be some naming confusion. (This is my interpretation, but perhaps they really are trying to differentiate the subtle differences between directory and folder.)
You can see from your menu image that there is also an "Android resource directory" option. (You got that by right clicking on the res directory/folder rather than a subdirectory.) You would use this to add resource folders such as raw, menu, values, etc.
