I have .NET Core based backend application (Swagger API) deployed in Azure App Services at https://myapi.azurewebsites.net
It works fine except of one method where I invoke a redirection to another website via GET request in browser as following:
https://myapi.azurewebsites.net/api/Method/Ext&RedirectUrl=https://externalsite.com
The link above shows Error 404 Not Found in a browser and I see that one "/" is missing from the RedirectUrl in IIS logs so this must be the reason:
GET /api/Method/Ext&RedirectUrl=https:/externalsite.com
The IIS error code is the same - 404.
There is no Application Gateway or anything else that can modify the URL.
I checked my App Services instance configuration and did not find any settings that could modify the URL.
Did anyone experience the same issue?
I have a web application which uses ASP.NET Core 3.1 on an Azure AppService, combined with Azure AD B2C authentication.
In my Startup.cs code, I call UseHttpsRedirection, but when I visit the site with an empty browser cache / or a new incognito session, using the HTTP protocol, I don't get redirected to HTTPS. Because of this, the B2C authentication doesn't work, so my app is not working.
This (HTTP) link is not working.
This link (HTTPS) does work.
What is strange though, once you visited the HTTPS site, and then the HTTP one, you will see the redirection is working.
What are getting served here are static HTML and JS files, served by the ASP.NET Core self-hosted server (running on a Linux AppService).
What do I miss here? Do I need to make an additional setting in Azure or in my code? Or do I need another record in the DNS?
It turned out that you have to go to the Protocol settings of the App Service and set "HTTPS only" to "on".
I am currenting developing an NodeJS web application and I am trying to access it with other network FYI my IP is static. but when I am trying to access by company network, I am seeing error 302 FYI I can only see login page but cannot get data from my server but other than this network I can access my application also using HTTP, Does anyone have any suggestion?
I recently migrated my app backend from azure mobile services to azure app services. I am using the node.js backend with multiple "easy tables" and "easy api's".
After configuring CORS all of my sites that query this backend are up and running properly.
Unfortunately I have not been able to figure out how to query this backend from localhost. I have tried running sites hosted on my local machine that use the exact same code as working sites hosted elsewhere. I have also tried using postman. All of these attempts result in a 400 bad request error.
Edited o be more clear. I have a migrated azure mobile service running on azure. I am attempting to hit that endpoint from localhost. I have tried to hit this endpoint using postman. I have also tried to hit this endpoint using a locally hosted copy of a website that is currently working when not hosted locally. All requests from localhost end up with a 400 error.
I have added https://localhost, localhost:portnumber, https://myIp to the cors page. On the application settings page my MS_CrossDomainWhitelist setting contains [{"host":"localhost"}] (I have also tried without this setting). I have also tried setting MS_SkipVersionCheck to true. What am I missing?
Recently there was a new deployment to my website. In web server, on click of browse website option in IIS using localhost, website is working fine but with a certificate error in the browser.
Problem : When trying to access the URL from client browser, I'm getting 503 communication error! What might be reason?
Need a quick resolution as the site is down :(
Enabled Directory Browsing in IIS & problem is resolved!
