Whenever I open my application (on android) made using KivyMD, it show it's own splash screen. How to remove it or add our own?
In the buildozer.spec file there will be an option for Presplash of the application. I guess it will be commented so just uncomment it and enter the path of your splash image.
You can use screen manager module to have multiple screens. Then use clock module to change the screen using a timer. If you want some animations in the splash screen you can use GIF image or Animation module.

I using Cocos Creator 3.5.2 for this project.
When I start testing input text field in android phone either in app or web browser, after the virtual keyboard appear and I try rotate screen from landscape to portrait, the keyboard got change but the screen layout dint resize still is landscape but only smaller n at top.
It need to close the keyboard then the screen layout will start resize and this is in app.
Any idea that can cause this happen?
And any solution for it.
This line works fine for my Windows program.
When i run this same file on the Mac OS X, I get a blank page instead of my icon.
Here is the windows line:

I have searched relentlusly for an answer I want this icon to work on both platforms. self is the root Tk window if your wondering if it's root or not.
Note: I have tried using icns, .xbm , .gif by loading a photo image and setting thru window attributes all produce the same blank page on the mac.
After 5 days of searching, and this post having been viewed at least 15 times I went directly to the tk/tcl documentation. If I understand this correctly, apparently there is no way to properly set the icon for mac OS X without using special library or other sort of hacks. It would be nice if there were a mac specific documentation for the tkinter library but alas there isn't that I have found. here is the part of the documentation I found:
wm iconphoto window ?-default? image1 ?image2 ...? Sets the titlebar
icon for window based on the named photo images. If -default is
specified, this is applied to all future created toplevels as well.
The data in the images is taken as a snapshot at the time of
invocation. If the images are later changed, this is not reflected to
the titlebar icons. Multiple images are accepted to allow different
images sizes (e.g., 16x16 and 32x32) to be provided. The window
manager may scale provided icons to an appropriate size. On Windows,
the images are packed into a Windows icon structure. This will
override an ico specified to wm iconbitmap, and vice versa.
On X, the images are arranged into the _NET_WM_ICON X property, which
most modern window managers support. A wm iconbitmap may exist
simultaneously. It is recommended to use not more than 2 icons,
placing the larger icon first.
On Macintosh, this currently does nothing.
if anyone has a working solution please post this. I want to accomplish this so that any system can open a freshly installed python and run my application without installing any additional library.
#GarryHurst This is not a solution but I sort of get the idea now:
On Mac, TK decided that the icon will never appear on the window title bar.
Instead, it shows up as the app's Dock icon.
It's most probably a by-design or won't fix issue on their side.
It is showing the icon of the file you are putting in the directory so setting the file to be an app will set the window icon to be the icon of that app.

I am developing Windows Store Apps for Tablet using VS2012. Right now i am creating splash screen for my application. My requirement is the splash screen should be display full screen in my app.
but it is working as Center of the screen. Can any one help regarding this...
The answer is that there is no way to create an official splash screen that is full-screen. A splash screen has to use a 620 x 300 pixel image, where it is a normal splash screen or an extended splash screen. However, you can match the background color around the splash screen to the color of the splash screen image (using the instructions you already found), which makes it appear like a full-screen image, even though much of it is just color.
AFAIK a splash screen has to be centered, but maybe a valid work around would be to create a start page (regular xaml) and have this one displayed as initial screen as soon as the splash screen is gone.
But this would mean that your startup time has to be quite fast.
Maybe it's an option for you.
Open the "package.appxmanifest" manifest file.
The manifest should automatically open in the Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows 8 Manifest Designer.
Open the Application UI tab and scroll down to the Splash Screen
section. If you are still using project defaults, you should see the
"images\splashscreen.png" path in the Splash Screen field. If you
open "package.appxmanifest" in a text editor, you should see
SplashScreen element as a child of the VisualElements element. For
example, the default splash screen markup in the manifest file looks
like this:

Change the splash screen image by using the Browse... button and
confirm that the image was added to your Visual Studio project.
Important The splash screen image you choose must be 620 x 300

enter either the name of a color or '#' and the hex value of a color.
Setting a background color for your splash screen is optional. If you

package.appxmanifest in a text editor, the Tile background color is
specified via the BackgroundColor attribute of the VisualElements

my workaround is make a 620x300 splash .png image with alpha background, so its not a full 620x300 image. the image itself is just a 300x300 logo. my suggestion is just make a small center image (your app logo or something else) and make it blend to the background (gradient or alpha)
I'm using cocos2d v1.0.1 for the iPhone. My app needs to support landscape left and right only. I'm adding the splash image in a rotated portrait mode so when the splash image is removed I can load a background image that is identical to it and do some animations so it appears seamless.
The problem is the splash screen is ALWAYS upside-down in relation to the background image I add. This is regardless of if my rotated portrait image is rotated left or right.
I'm using the default rotation code and setup for cocos. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I will suggest to duplicate the image and name it differently. And use it as per your need instead of using the default.png. It caused problem with me also. Instead of wasting my time I just used this way. Hope this helps. :)
I would like to get the image of an X server Window (toplevel window, parent is the root Window) with its border/frame/title bar. I have already tried several libraries (Xlib, XRender, gdk, cairo) but none of them works. The captured image has the same geometry as the window but the frame is missing.
The problem is that the child window which should hold the frame image is InputOnly. The reason might be for this that the frame is rendered by the window decorator on the fly the same time as the Window itself.
I cannot capture the image from the RootWindow as the Window might be partially or entirely covered.
Redecorating the captured Window image could be an alternative.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
PS. When compiz is not running everything works as expected.
I use shutter for screen shots on linux, it's super easy to capture whatever portion of the screen you want. As a bonus, there are tools to add arrows or highlight sections.
