I'm trying to debug a simple codechain that is created by default by the IBM blockchain platform plugin for VS Code.
Looks like I'm doing everything correctly but breakpoints are not working.
Steps to reproduce:
Open .ts file and set brake points
archive, deploy and instantiate code chain (BTW, based on the documentation you don't need to do this but, If I'm not doing this, I'm not getting a list of code chain methods on the next step)
Run debugger, choose "pickup brakepoints"
in this step I see red light. (Looks like it's ok so far)
click blockchain icon, "Submit Transaction" > select method > enter > enter (I don't need any arguments to execute this method)
Transaction successfully submitted. Brake points are not working.
What I'm missing or doing wrong?
OS: MacOS
Language: TypeScript
IBM plugin version: 2.0.1
Docker image ibmcom/ibp-microfab:0.0.8
Hmm... is it just a bug?
P.S. If I'll choose "Manual" (Run until manually stopped) I guess I have to have "debugger" in my chain code right? anyway it's not working.
Any help?

Following the tutorials listed in https://github.com/HyperledgerHandsOn/trade-network, I was able to create a trade network and connect to it. However, after a VS code restart, all the created FAbric environments and wallets disappeared. Additionally, I am unable to recreate them.
Upon trying to manually add the Fabric environments/wallets am trying to add a new Fabric environment the "+" sign does not works (unresponsive) nor does an option appear after right clicks.
Tried giving the extension a reinstall but no luck:-
Additionally, I see weird errors when trying to run the extension commands on VS code pallet - for example this is what I see when I run a "View Prerequisite" command -
I was able to solve this problem by downgrading the version. Looks like this is an error with version 2.0.4.
Just installed B4A as it's shown on the official website and i still can't build & run an example project (Hello world).
I installed the app on my cellphone too and successfully connected to it, installed B4A Designer as the firt app asked to.
I'm getting this error, sorry it's in French. But basically it says that it doesn't find a file (i m wondering which one...).
enter image description here
Install exactly has shown here:B4A installation
Especially at Step 2 this: Download the required resources. Click on that link.
That step I forgot too. And then you get errors.
If you follow exactly without haste. It will work OK.
I just started learning about Android development, so this one is a serious issue for me: I launch Android Studio (2.2.2, but had the issue since 2.2.1) on Win10, make a New project, just keep clicking Next without changing anything (selecting Empty Activity as the template), Finish, try to Run 'app' on my phone and consistently get this error:
Error while executing: am start -n "com.example.android.myapplication/com.example.android.myapplication.MainActivity" -a android.intent.action.MAIN -c android.intent.category.LAUNCHER Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cat=[android.intent.category.LAUNCHER] cmp=com.example.android.myapplication/.MainActivity }
Error type 3
Error: Activity class {com.example.android.myapplication/com.example.android.myapplication.MainActivity} does not exist.
Error while Launching activity
Being a complete newbie who was just supposed to change some text in XML and run the app on a phone, I have no idea what to do or edit to make a pregenerated app actually work. I searched StackOverflow for a more general approach to these errors and tried:
Restarting AS/computer
Disabling InstantRun
Messing with Clean/Rebuild/Synchronize/Sync with Gradle
Deleting .gradle and .idea folders and Syncing with Gradle
Some other obscure shenanigans with build.gradle and AndroidManifest
Various combinations of the above.
... None of which worked (or affected the problem in any way, in fact).
Other observations:
The app isn't even installed (checked All apps, there isn't any com.example.android.myapplication or MyApplication app on my device)
On the development course forum, it was suggested that com.example.android.myapplication/com.example.android.myapplication.MainActivity should only read com.example.android.myapplication/MainActivity. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to change that.
Update 1 New attempted fixes (neither of which worked):
Specified activity directy in Run/Debug window.
Specified no activity whatsoever (doesn't show that error, but doesn't run anything either).
Did File/Invalidate Caches
Changed android.intent.category.MAIN to all-lowercase and back.
Added "category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/" to Manifest
Update 2 Managed to run the app on emulator. It seems to be working there, so the error will likely be somewhere between AS and the phone (Android 5.1.1, API 22).
Developer options and USB debugging are on (confirmed the pop-up message, too)
Driver is up to date (AS can see the phone without problem)
Phone is on (and not asleep) while I'm trying to run the app
Any suggestions why the phone won't download and run the app?
In your manifest file edit
with android:name="com.example.android.myapplication.MainActivity"
Make sure that your code doesn't mean any nonsense and that it wouldn't cause the app to crash, which is sometimes the problem. Try finding a problem in code which could crash the app. Maybe in your crash log you can find what causes the crash. Good luck fixing that.
According with your error log I suppose you did not delete previously installed app. See my accepted answer on the same question for details.
I have just installed RFT version 8.3.0 for testing a mainframe application. I imported the appropriate rftjdtr files to the project. But i am unable to execute any of the testcases. When i press the run ( or debug) button, nothing happens. There are no error messages popping up. I suspect it is a java configuration issue on my machine. I have tried comparing the settings with another machine where it is working fine. It is the first time that i am using RFT, so i do not know what to do. Can somebody please help me with this?
I have encountered the same issue. This may be because of workspace error. Create a new workspace and run the script.
I am trying to debug Node.js (v0.6.1) with Google's Eclipse debugger plugin for V8. I'm using Eclipse v4.1.0 on Windows7. I followed the Using Eclipse as Node Applications Debugger, but whenever I try to attach to a running Node.js (port 5858) process, I get a pop-up error message saying:
An internal error occurred during: "Debug session initialization: Node-5858".
Exception occured in callback
Any suggestions ?
I have been looking into a problem similar to this, this is what I have found
The instructions for setting it up, might just be worth re-reading these to make sure everything is as it should be:
https://github.com/joyent/node/wiki/Using-Eclipse-as-Node-Applications-Debugger
Do note that when looking around at a similar problem i located this help ticket on google code, it relates to a number of users who are having problems with Node.js on windows:
http://code.google.com/p/chromedevtools/issues/detail?id=53
It might be worth just downloading the newest version of Node.js as I believe this now has the fix in place, else download the fix file then mention within the ticket.
You can try to test for Nodeclipse version 0.2.0 beta.

GENERATING OF EXPRESS PROJECT
Select the [File]-[New]-[Project] menu.
Select [Node]-[Express Project], and push [Next] button.
Enter [Project name], and push [Finish] button.
DEBUGGING
Open the JavaScript source files that you want to set breakpoints.
Double-click on the ruler at the left end of the line you want to set a breakpoint.
If you want to remove a breakpoint, double-click on the ruler again.
Select the main source file of Node Application on the Project Explorer, open the context menu by right-clicking, select the [Debug As]-[Node Application] menu.
Just try this :
After creating the project, go to the cmd and provide the filepath of the file which you want to debug.
Now run the command node --debug-brk demo_node.js
(where demo_node.js is filename)
Now come to eclipse side, open the same file and set the break points.
Right click on the source file and select [Debug As]-[Node Application].
