Azure Media Services: Provide custom file names for the asset files - azure

I'm encoding a video file using the built-in adaptive streaming transform. Once the file is successfully processed, an asset container is created with the below files:
Is it possible to provide custom file names at the time a job is created? It seems that the default behavior is to take a certain number of characters from the original file name and prepend them in the above file names. If possible, I'd like to configure this behavior.
P.S. I'm using the .NET SDK.

You can create a custom transform to output file names differently. On https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/media/transforms/createorupdate#definitions search for the Mp4Format section. In that you can specify the filenamePattern with certain macros like {Bitrate} and {Codec}.

I use the macros on my jobs, they work ok. I have a process that takes 3 videos (an intro section, the actual content, and the outro section) and encodes them as one single video. The issue I have with the macros is that it uses the file name of the first video in the inputs. So it ends up using the file name of the intro video which is a generic name. They need to have a way where we can have a little more control.
I suppose I could copy/rename the intro video to a desired name before I encode and it would pick it up, but that seems to be a little bit of overkill.
The Macros are good, but they could use some enhancements I think.

I am guessing you probably want to create a DASH stream rather than just a manifest file - the manifest file would not be of interest generally without the media streams it indexes to.
This is actually not trivial, especially as there are so many options within the DASH spec and different formats possible within the manifest - e.g. segment timeline, template etc.
It is probably easiest to look at an openesource example of a packager to get a feel for what is involved - you may even find you can just use one as is. One of the most popular is Shaka Packager:

How can I add a comment to a LabVIEW file using Python 3

I am trying to create a unique id and attach it to a LabVIEW file so that later I can read back that id and know I am looking at exactly the same file. I must be able to generate the id and read it back programmatically. The information must be hidden from the user accessing the file and persist across operating systems and storage mediums.
I was thinking of just adding it into the file 'comment' section, but it appears the Windows no longer supports file comments.
Any ideas?
I would suggest using the Set Tag method on the VI (with persistence) and saving multiple copies of the VI using the Save Instrument method, where each copy would then have its own unique value of the tag. Note that the method is defined as a scripting method, so you would probably need to enable scripting in the LV options to access it.
I don't think there's any API for enumerating tags, so there would be no way to find the value unless you know what the tag is called. Obviously, it's encoded somewhere in the VI file itself, and presumably it would be possible to extract a list of tags if you know the structure of the file, but that's not knowledge I would expect most students to have.
I'm not sure if you can call the set tag method from Python using an external connection to VI server, but certainly the LV code for this should be pretty simple - basically a for loop with ID generation, a couple of method calls and saving a CSV file so you can keep track of which ID belongs to which student. If you use existing IDs, you don't even need to generate and save the IDs.

A Study on the Modification of PDF in nodejs

Project Environment
The environment we are currently developing is using Windows 10. nodejs 10.16.0, express web framework. The actual environment being deployed is the Linux Ubuntu server and the rest is the same.
What technology do you want to implement?
The technology that I want to implement is the information that I entered when I joined the membership. For example, I want to automatically put it in the input text box using my name, age, address, phone number, etc. so that the user only needs to fill in the remaining information in the PDF. (PDF is on some of the webpages.)
If all the information is entered, the PDF is saved and the document is sent to another vendor, which is the end.
Current Problems
We looked at about four days for PDFs, and we tried to create PDFs when we implemented the outline, structure, and code, just like it was on this site at https://web.archive.org/web/20141010035745/http://gnupdf.org/Introduction_to_PDF
However, most PDFs seem to be compressed into flatDecode rather than this simple. So I also looked at Data extraction from /Filter /FlateDecode PDF stream in PHP and tried to decompress it using QPDF.
Unzip it for now.Well, I thought it would be easy to find out the difference compared to the PDF without Kim after putting it in the first name.
However, there is too much difference even though only three characters are added... And the PDF structure itself is more difficult and complex to proceed with.

It sounds like you want to create a PDF from scratch and possibly extract data from it and you are finding this a more difficult prospect than you first imagined.

Alfresco node-browser.get.js webscript

At this location in this jar file alfresco-remote-api-5.0.d.jar\alfresco\templates\webscripts\org\alfresco\slingshot\node-browser\ there is a webscript. But this webscript consist to 2 files (node-browser.get.desc.xml and node-browser.get.json.ftl ) There isn't the node-browser.get.js file.
I want to know what is done in this fil. I want to select categories and include certains aspects (i have added to categories) in the selection.

Usually a webscript is made of 3 parts:
a description file (in your case node-browser.get.desc.xml) which
uses a description language to define many aspects of the
webscript, like security, transaction management and so on
a Server-Side Javascript js file that consists of the business logic that is performed by
the script. In your case you don't have the node-browser.get.js file
because this happens to be a Java backed webscript, that is a
webscript whose business logic is written in Java and not in
Server-Side Javascript.
a Freemarker Template file, node-browser.get.json.ftl, which contains
the presentation logic (view) that has to show the results of the invocation.
In order to achieve what you're looking for about selecting categories and include certains aspects, you'd better learn more about how webscripts work and moreover how to configure/customize Alfresco's interface.

Append a dynamically changing watermark to a PDF in SharePoint

This is primarily a question of possibilities more than instructions. I'm a programming consultant working on a WSS project site system for my client. We have a document library in which files are uploaded to go through a complex approval process. With multiple stages in this process, we have an extra field which dictates what the current status of the document is.
Now, my client has become enamored with the idea of PDF watermarking. He wants the document (which is already a PDF) to be affixed with a watermark corresponding to the current status, such that with each stage of the approval process the watermark will change.
One method, the traditional method for PDF watermarking, of accomplishing this is to have one "clean" copy of the document somewhere hidden on the site, and create a new PDF from it that has the watermark at each stage of the approval process. Since the filename will never change, this new PDF can be uploaded continually to a public library, always overwriting the old version and simulating a "dynamically changing watermark". However, in the various stages there will also be people uploading clean copies with corrections and suggestions, nevermind the complex nature of juggling around two libraries and the fact we double the number of files stored. My client and I agree that this is not a practical path to choose.
What we would like to do is be able to "modify" the watermark in a PDF, so that we only have to keep one copy of the file. Unfortunately, from what I've seen, in most cases when you make something like a watermark, which in its nature is supposed to be "unmodifyable", you won't be able to edit it later. So, is it possible to have a part of a PDF which cannot be changed by anyone who downloads the file, but can be changed as part of a workflow or other object model process?

You could use Event Handlers such that code was run every time a document was checked in. In that code you could perform the fixup/check that made the watermark be what you wanted it to be. This assumes you can write code that manipulates a PDF's internal structure such that it has the watermark that you desire.
It sounds to me like you want to allow people to modify the PDF they download, but not modify its watermark. This is probably going to be nigh on impossible if the watermark is embedded in the PDF (afaict) but what if the watermark image is external to the PDF; is it possible to embed a watermark in a PDF that is sourced via HTTP? Then you could embed:

Of course, I have no idea about PDFs, so this might not be possible but you get the concept.
