App Center build fails with no error messages - visual-studio-app-center

I recently renamed my App Center organization and since then all builds are failing immediately with no error messages.
I can't open the logs either (I tried multiple apps).
Any clues?

I had the same issue reproducing after changing the name of the application in AppCenter. What magically solved my issue was to enter the configure build screen and click save&build. Worth mentioning that I did not change the configuration I previously had. I reckon this is not a technical answer, but it solved my problem, since I didn't know where to start debugging the issue.

HTTP Error 500.31 - ANCM Failed to Find Native Dependencies error while publishing my MVC .net 3.1 core project to Azure

Not sure what details I should be providing to be completely honest, other than I googled and searched for this solution and I deleted everything and retried and didnt work out, I downloaded all the files needed, I added application settings and it added an error for me telling me that I need to install or update Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App, version 3.1.0, which I have installed and already existed anyway
I tried going to application event logs on Azure portal, there was 3 errors first this one which some people suggested going to web.config and changing it to Module not v2, and I dont see any web.config file in my mvc project
2nd error which I already talked about but its just not working, so I assume somehow its not seeing it??
3rd error Also this I am not quite sure what to do with it.
Lastly, as I said I am not sure what information I should provide, I dont have much time and I was asked to publish it on azure there was no problems and seemed easy but errors popped up and nothing on the internet fixed my issues, you can comment and I will add any required data to fix this.

I installed each and every package in the dotnet folder to make sure everything is right and everytime it recognized there is a file already and asked me if I want to repair I said yes but that didnt help
I checked my .json file if it had any errors like some people suggested
checked if Azure portal specified that I am using ASP.NET 3.1core which it did
~~I used search for "stdoutLogFile" to check if I can find it anywhere on my solution since I cant find my web.config but I there was no result~~
I found out that I can add the web.config and make changes to it, and I did so but there was no result for it, still same error (yes I change the publish profile and republish to make sure it took the changes)

Azure App Services Web App not registering update

I have a Azure App Service app that I'm trying to get deployed.
Today I ran into an issue where .NET informed me (via the yellow screen of death when I browse to the URL of my app) that I had a missing DLL (for the purposes of this question I don't think it really matters).
I used FileZilla to publish my changes in an attempt to do a manual deployment first and then work my way to automate it.
After so many attempts to fix it I later realized that the error message never changed. I did something more severe and renamed my bin folder into something completely different and the exact same error message would appear.
I've stopped the service, restarted it, and as mentioned, renamed folders, etc. and still the exact same error message persisted.
I also decided to open up the Azure Portal Console for my App Service app to browse a bit and to my amazement, nothing seemed to have reflected at all. The FTP shows one thing and the Console shows another.
Would anyone have any idea as to why this is happening?
I eventually got it to work and I will share what I tried.
I deleted the web app and created it again (I found this to be important the first time around). This was quite time consuming and did help but it wasn't long before the same problem happened again.
Then I finally found a solution that seems to give me consistent results:
I kept on editing the Web.config which seems to force a recompile and clear some sort of cache. So each time the web app stopped updating, I would make a slight change in the Web.config, upload it via FTP and the app finally updates.
If anyone has any more details on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

AdroidStudio 2.2.2 Empty Activity Error on phone

I just started learning about Android development, so this one is a serious issue for me: I launch Android Studio (2.2.2, but had the issue since 2.2.1) on Win10, make a New project, just keep clicking Next without changing anything (selecting Empty Activity as the template), Finish, try to Run 'app' on my phone and consistently get this error:

Error while Launching activity
Being a complete newbie who was just supposed to change some text in XML and run the app on a phone, I have no idea what to do or edit to make a pregenerated app actually work. I searched StackOverflow for a more general approach to these errors and tried:
Restarting AS/computer
Disabling InstantRun
Messing with Clean/Rebuild/Synchronize/Sync with Gradle
Deleting .gradle and .idea folders and Syncing with Gradle
Some other obscure shenanigans with build.gradle and AndroidManifest
Various combinations of the above.
... None of which worked (or affected the problem in any way, in fact).
Other observations:
The app isn't even installed (checked All apps, there isn't any com.example.android.myapplication or MyApplication app on my device)
On the development course forum, it was suggested that com.example.android.myapplication/com.example.android.myapplication.MainActivity should only read com.example.android.myapplication/MainActivity. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to change that.
Update 1 New attempted fixes (neither of which worked):
Specified activity directy in Run/Debug window.
Specified no activity whatsoever (doesn't show that error, but doesn't run anything either).
Did File/Invalidate Caches
Changed android.intent.category.MAIN to all-lowercase and back.
Added "category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/" to Manifest
Update 2 Managed to run the app on emulator. It seems to be working there, so the error will likely be somewhere between AS and the phone (Android 5.1.1, API 22).
Developer options and USB debugging are on (confirmed the pop-up message, too)
Driver is up to date (AS can see the phone without problem)
Phone is on (and not asleep) while I'm trying to run the app
Any suggestions why the phone won't download and run the app?
In your manifest file edit
with android:name="com.example.android.myapplication.MainActivity"
Make sure that your code doesn't mean any nonsense and that it wouldn't cause the app to crash, which is sometimes the problem. Try finding a problem in code which could crash the app. Maybe in your crash log you can find what causes the crash. Good luck fixing that.
According with your error log I suppose you did not delete previously installed app. See my accepted answer on the same question for details.

Role instances Issue while running webapi locally

I have a webAPI deployed on window azure, till last week I was able to run the WebAPI and debug but all of a sudden when I run the web application I get the below message.
Role instances are taking longer than expected to start. Do you want
to continue waiting?
And I tried to enable disable caching(default caching is disable) and also cleared the local storage but still the same issue persist, its happening in not only my machine but also on other dev machine as well. Could it be because of automatic software updates related to emulator or other SW or any other issue?
Happened withh me today. I ran into an issue of the Azure emulator not working. The roles were going in a continuous loop of Running, Busy and Suspended.
Initially I thought it might be due to some code I had changed . However, it turned out that a recent Windows update had caused this issue.
After spending a frustrating amount of time un-installing the recent updates one by one, I found the miscreant.
For Fix please un-install the Security Update KB3126593 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3126593).
While searching for the particular update, make sure you type “KB3126593” in the search bar. Typing 3126593 will not work.

Azure Compute Emulator will not start

I have recently upgraded to the new Azure SDK (September 2011 v 1.5).
Ever since I have not been able to start the compute emulator. Consequently I can't debug the services on my local machine.
I have seen a suggestion that the problem lies with the fact that my user account has a space in it, so I renamed my account but that didn't make any difference. It may be that the problem is that my user profile path has a space in it. Changing the account name has no effect no the profile path.
On the msdn forums it was suggested that I remove *:808 binding in IIS Manager for Default Website. See MSDN Forums
Anyone have any other ideas?

So, given the "rename your user account/regedit doesn't work for you, you may want to look at this MSDN article, which suggests you can just set an environment variable and run the emulator without mucking with the registry... not sure if setting the environment variable globally would let you run automatically within VS.NET without manually starting up the emulator the first time, but it is certainly easier.
Yes, the space(s) in your profile path are the issue, and this appears to be a regression for a bug that was found in a previous version of the emulator (the only reason I even thought to try logging in with a different account in the first place). I was literally just putting together a quick blog post here describing the same issue. You'll need to do some registry editing to fix all the references to your old profile path if you want to fix it, or just create a new user if you can deal with re-installing software (I love the Web Platform Installer, but I found out during this exercise that it doesn't do a good job installing for "all users").
