Include: dependency injection CodeceptJS/Puppeteer - Missing something? - node.js

I am clearly missing something related to dependency injection with CodeceptJS and Puppeteer. I am attempting to follow the docs but not yet successful.
Goal: Create a page object class, access the methods in that page object class from my test scenarios.
Simple test case
Feature('Common logon/logoff scenarios');
Scenario.only('Test drawer class', (I, loginAs, menu) => {
I.amOnPage('/login');
loginAs('admin');
menu.dashboard();
});
Include section from my codeceptjs.config.js file
include: {
I: "./steps_file.js",
menu: "./src/fragments/menu.js"
},
Menu page object class (menu.js)
const { I } = inject();
module.exports = {
// Navigation drawer locators
item: {
dashboard: 'a[href="#/"]',
admin: 'li[id="resources.admin.name"]',
permissions: 'a[href="#/user-claims"]',
sites: 'a[href="#/site"]',
reportTemplates: 'a[href="#/reporttemplates"]',
stations: 'a[href="#/station"]',
supervisor: 'li[id="resources.supervisor.name"]',
people: 'a[href="#/people"]',
supervisorPressPallets: 'a[href="#/presspalletbuilder"]',
stationIdentify: 'a[href="#/stationadopt"]',
operator: 'li[id="resources.operator.name"]',
operatorPressPallets: 'a[href="resources.operator.name"]'
},
// Methods to access nav drawer menu items
dashboard() {
I.click(this.item.dashboard);
},
admin() {
I.click(this.item.admin);
},
permissions() {
I.click(this.item.permissions);
},
sites() {
I.click(this.item.sites);
},
reportTemplates() {
I.click(this.item.reportTemplates);
},
stations() {
I.click(this.item.stations);
},
supervisor() {
I.click(this.item.supervisor);
},
people() {
I.click(this.item.people);
},
supervisorPressPallets() {
I.click(this.item.supervisorPressPallets);
},
stationIdentify() {
I.click(this.item.stationIdentify);
},
operator() {
I.click(this.item.operator);
},
operatorPressPallets() {
I.click(this.item.operatorPressPallets);
}
}
When I attempt to run the test, I get the following error
1) Common logon/logoff scenarios
Test drawer class:
Cannot read property 'react' of undefined
Any assistance with what I am missing here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, all
Bob

Turns out the code I had was correct and this ended up being an issue with my editor not handling code completion well so the methods of interest were not displaying as I had expected them to.

coordinates does not exist in type 'GeometryDataType'

This is a follow up on this question. Now I am using the point object correctly however I get this error:
src/actions/collectGpsData.ts:22:43 - error TS2322: Type '{ type: string; coordinates: any[]; }' is not assignable to type 'GeometryDataType'.
Object literal may only specify known properties, and '"coordinates"' does not exist in type 'GeometryDataType'.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Found 1 error.
import { Action } from "actionhero"; // No GeometryDataType sequelize.js definition
import { Place } from "../models/Place";
export class CollectGpsData extends Action {
constructor() {
super();
this.name = "collectGpsData";
this.description = "Collects GPS data and inserts it into the database";
this.outputExample = {};
this.inputs = {
gpsdata: {
required:true
}
}
}
async run(data) {
var GPSdata = data.params.gpsdata;
GPSdata.forEach(point => {
var place = new Place();
place.deviceimei = point.deviceimei;
place.location = { "type": "Point", "coordinates": [point.latitude, point.longitude] }; //error line
});
}
}
Why am I getting this error? and how can I avoid this error in the future?
I've answered it in your GitHub issue:
Hello #krlicmuhamed!
As #nainkunal933 noted, please include a complete code sample next time. The code you posted does not show how User is defined, for example. Please use a sequelize-sscce.
That said, I took the time to look into what's happening and tried to figure it out.
So, first of all, this issue is typescript-only. The code works fine in runtime. Please include this information directly next time.
I ventured into your stackoverflow question and comments and found this:
https://gist.github.com/krlicmuhamed/199c0bc3560a08718b553f3f609acbcd#file-places-ts-L22
Did you find any documentation instructing you to use this specific type explicitly here? If yes, please post the link so I can fix it. Regardless, I don't blame you because we really should have a set of recommended types to apply on each data type. It turns out GeometryDataType is not the correct type to use in this case.
The solution is to install #types/geojson:
npm install --save-dev #types/geojson
Then, import Geometry:
import type { Geometry } from '#types/geojson'
And then replace that line of code in which you put GeometryDataType with Geometry:
#AllowNull(false)
#Column(DataTypes.GEOMETRY)
- location: GeometryDataType;
+ location: Geometry;
Issue in giving plurals in Bixby dialogs
I had a question regarding plurals in dialog.
Let's say I have a structure
structure (MyStructure) {
property (MyConcept) {
type {EnumConcept} max (Many)
}
}
And a Value dialog for it:
dialog (Value) {
match: MyConcept(this)
if (this == 'ABC') {
switch(plural(this)) {
case (One) { template("single1") }
default { template ("plural1") }
}
}
if (this == 'DEF') {
switch(plural(this)) {
case (One) { template("single2") }
default { template ("plural2") }
}
}
}
By using
Code:
#{value(myStructure.myConcept.plural('Many'))}
I am able to get "plural1" or "plural2" when myStructure has below values and size of myConcept is 1:
myStructure = [
{ myConcept: ABC },
{ myConcept: ABC },
{ myConcept: ABC },
{ myConcept: ABC }
]
When size of myConcept is 2 and myStructure has below values,
myStructure = [
{ myConcept: ABC },
{ myConcept: ABC },
{ myConcept: DEF },
{ myConcept: DEF }
]
using the Code:
#{value(myStructure.myConcept.plural('Many'))}
is giving NLG as
"single1 and single2"
What I want in the NLG:
"plural1 and plural2"
Can someone please help us in giving proper plural NLG for each element of the unique "myConcept" present in the list of "myStructure"?
What I want is to apply plurality to each individual value of an array.
size(myStructure.myConcept) = 2.
I want to apply plural to both the values of myConcept.
I do not think in dialogs we have an for-each kind of thing available.
It's a little hard to tell what's going on in the code above. If this answer isn't helpful, consider sharing the full source code somewhere for live debugging.
You can try something like
#{value(myStructure.myConcept.plural(plural(myStructure.myConcept))}
The docs has an example like:
#{concept(restaurantStyle.plural(plural(restaurant)))}
How to configure Prism with Nuxt
How can I configure Prism to work with Nuxt? I added it as a vendor in the nuxt.config.js file:
// * Build configuration
build: {
// * You can extend webpack config here
vendor: ['axios', 'prismjs'],
extend(config, ctx) {
if (ctx.isServer) {
config.externals = [
nodeExternals({
whitelist: [/^vuetify/]
})
];
}
}
}
Then in my page in the script section I import it:
<script>
import Prism from'prismjs';
export default {
data() {
return {
post: {}
};
},
// more data...
How can I use it then? I've tried calling it in mounted but it doesn't work. No errors are returned but it doesn't change anything on site.
mounted() {
Prism.highlightAll();
}
Turned out to be working, just forgot about including css styles.
RobinBuschmann/soap-typescript/soap-decorators Example
Can someone please give me a detailed example of RobinBuschmann/soap-typescript/soap-decorators Example. I am looking to create a wsdl xml for node-soap. The example given on github of RobinBuschmann/soap-typescript does not seem to work as is. I put the first three code snippets in a file called createWsdl.js and ran it with "node createWsdl.js" and I get an error. I suspect I am not doing the right thing. Can someone please help me or give me a detailed example that actually works.
I used node-soap and soap-decorators to communicate with Quickbooks. The following is from my app.ts file:
this.express.use(
'/soap',
soap(this.quickbooksController, {
overrideRootElement: {
namespace: '',
xmlnsAttributes: [
{
name: 'xmlns',
value: 'http://developer.intuit.com/'
}
]
}
})
);
The controller is annotated like so:
import { SoapOperation, SoapService } from 'soap-decorators';
import { AuthenticateRequest, AuthenticateResponse } from './model/authenticate.interface';
#SoapService({
portName: 'QBWebConnectorSvcSoap',
serviceName: 'QBWebConnectorSvc',
targetNamespace: 'http://developer.intuit.com/'
})
export class QuickbooksController {
#SoapOperation(AuthenticateResponse)
authenticate(data: AuthenticateRequest, res: (res: AuthenticateResponse) => any): void {
res({ authenticateResult: { string: ['', 'NVU'] } });
}
}
My request and response objects are decorated as XSD types:
import { XSDComplexType, XSDElement } from 'soap-decorators';
#XSDComplexType
export class AuthenticateRequest {
#XSDElement
strUserName: string;
#XSDElement
strPassword: string;
}
#XSDComplexType
class AuthenticateResult {
#XSDElement({ type: 'string' })
string: string[];
}
#XSDComplexType({ name: 'authenticateResponse' })
export class AuthenticateResponse {
#XSDElement
authenticateResult: AuthenticateResult;
}
Why is the vuex component isn't updated, despite the state updating?
When I load my page, I fetch a list of optboxes items.
Sources
Project's sources are online:
optboxes page ;
store (store, actions, mutations, getters).
optboxes pages
The HTTP request is well send and return adequate data:
created(){
this.getOptboxes();
},
components: {
'optbox': OptboxComponent,
},
methods: {
getOptboxes() {
optboxes.all().then((response) => {
this.setOptboxes(response.data.output);
}).catch(() = > {
this.no_optbox_message = 'there is no optbox';
logging.error(this.$t('optboxes.get.failed'))
});
}
},
vuex: {
actions: { setOptboxes: actions.setOptboxes},
getters: { optboxesList: getters.retrieveOptboxes}
}
I'm iterating over the results as follow:
<div v-for="optbox in optboxesList" class="panel panel-default">
<optbox :optbox="optbox"></optbox>
</div>
Store
const state = {
optboxes: {
/*
'akema': {
hostname: "192.168.2.23",
id: "akema",
printers: [
{
description: "bureau",
destination_port: 9100,
forward: "normal",
hostname: "1.2.3.4",
id: 0,
listening_port: 9102
}
]
}
*/
}
};
Question
If I switch to another pages and come back then the list appear. I also notice that with the Vuex extension I can commit the state and see the changes.
Why are my changes not applied automatically?
I had to change my data structure due to Change Detection Caveats.
Due to limitations of JavaScript, Vue.js cannot detect the following
changes to an Array:
When you directly set an item with the index, e.g. vm.items[0] = {};
When you modify the length of the Array, e.g. vm.items.length = 0.
Store
optboxes is now an array.
const state = {
optboxes:[]
}
Then update my mutations accordingly to edit the array.
Maybe it's an issue of reactivity?! I assume your setOptboxes mutation is not being picked up by vue:
setOptboxes(state, optboxes) {
for (var optbox of optboxes) {
state.optboxes[optbox.id] = optbox;
}
}
You can read about it here:
https://vuejs.org/guide/list.html#Caveats
https://vuejs.org/guide/reactivity.html
The docs solution is to use:
state.optboxes.$set(optbox.id, optbox);
which will trigger a view update.
Using Vue.set dit it for me. Take a look here
