Designing for full screen - layout

Summary: I'm having a big problem with layout design in my project... I want to set it up in fullscreen mode, but I can only set it in a specify resolution, because of that, when I click to maximize my program, it goes like image #2... I tried to anchor buttons in "Top,Left,Bottom,Right" but the mess is bigger (image #3).
What I need: I want to make a single layout for a fullscreen mode in any screen resolution...

If I understand right and you want everything to stretch when you resize your form then you should dock your tablelayoutpanel (fill) and the same with your buttons.

How to snap a window to top/bottom half of screen

One of my favorite features in Windows is the ability to snap windows. [1]
With Windows 10 they can now be snapped to quarter-screen, as well as the left- and right-half screen available in previous Windows releases.
Is it possible to snap a window to top and bottom half?
In other words, snap a window to span the width of the monitor, but only half the height? It could be snapped to either the top or bottom of the screen.

This is now natively supported in Windows 11. Press Windows+Z, then you can select where you want your window to be. There are several other portrait-only layouts too (the spot that is dark blue is the one my mouse is hovering over):
Not in the way that you snap windows to the left and right; if you try to snap a window to the top by dragging it to the top of your screen it will just maximize that window...and dragging to the bottom won't work at all.
One way that I can think of that will work is minimize 2 windows that you want to split and resize them both so that they span the width of the screen and approximately half the height of the screen. Then drag each window to the desired portion of the screen. To make things easier, you might want to have the window that you want on the bottom of the screen open over the one that you want on top of the screen before you start minimizing windows.

How do I change the size of icons in Android Studio?

I'm building an app with Android Studio, and one of my activities (which lets the user draw on a canvas) has a 'toolbar', with things like 'Clear', 'Undo', 'Redo' etc.
I'm using the built-in icons for this - ie I go to the 'Drawables' folder, right-click, go to 'Add vector asset' and then select the appropriate icon. I've figured out that I can change the size of the icon that gets added, but I can't figure out how to use that.
So, on a phone screen, I'd like to use the standard 24dp icons. However, on a tablet screen, I'd like the icon to be bigger, as they're a bit lost on the bigger screen.
I can't figure out how to do this, though, and I'm not even sure whether I'm using the right approach. I know I can create different drawables sub-folders for different densities, but it's not so much the density that matters as the actual screen size.
What's the best way to go about this?
You should increase the toolbar height, the icon will fit its container automatically.
In case, if you want to change the size of the icon, double-click the xml file of the icon and change the width and height inside. Do not touch the viewportWidth and viewportHeight parameters!
In general, you should not do this, as it wouldn't follow the google guidelines.

Can I use an image instead of a title in an Apple Watch app?

How can I put an icon in the top left label and make fullscreen? Apple allocates some space on top for the digital clock and back label. I would like to customize it, but I can't find anything in the SDK to enable this.
The top strip of the Watch screen is reserved for displaying the page title, or occasionally links such as "Cancel" by default for modal views, and the clock. It is not possible to hide this.
It is possible to set an empty title for a page. Some settings will alsoplace a background image behind this text (if you set the mode to 'Aspect Fill', at least in the current Xcode 6.2 beta 3). However, the portion of the image at the top of the screen is simply occluded by a black strip, so this does not achieve what you want.
Additionally, Apple have specifically recommended against displaying logos on the Apple Watch screen, with the rationale that the screen is too small to display for the user anything but actual content.
To set the Global tint:
Select the Interface Controller itself in Interface Builder by clicking on the Yellow circle at the top of the view of the screen.
Press Cmd-Opt-1 to display the File Inspector section of the Utilites on the right hand side.
Set the 'Global Tint' option in the section 'Interface Builder Document', as per the screenshot.
Not possible in the first cut but I think it will come later.
It's not actually a back label. The text in the top left of the Watch screen is the title of the current WKInterfaceController. You can change it by using -[WKInterfaceTitle setTitle:], but you are limited to content that is expressible in an NSString (so no UIImages).
It is possible to customise the status bar in watchOS 4.
Select your interface controller in the storyboard
Open the attributes inspector
Check the Full Screen checkbox
After doing this you can add your custom image to the left of the statusbar.

Splash screen in Windows Store apps

I am developing Windows Store Apps for Tablet using VS2012. Right now i am creating splash screen for my application. My requirement is the splash screen should be display full screen in my app.
but it is working as Center of the screen. Can any one help regarding this...
The answer is that there is no way to create an official splash screen that is full-screen. A splash screen has to use a 620 x 300 pixel image, where it is a normal splash screen or an extended splash screen. However, you can match the background color around the splash screen to the color of the splash screen image (using the instructions you already found), which makes it appear like a full-screen image, even though much of it is just color.
AFAIK a splash screen has to be centered, but maybe a valid work around would be to create a start page (regular xaml) and have this one displayed as initial screen as soon as the splash screen is gone.
But this would mean that your startup time has to be quite fast.
Maybe it's an option for you.
Open the "package.appxmanifest" manifest file.
The manifest should automatically open in the Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows 8 Manifest Designer.
Open the Application UI tab and scroll down to the Splash Screen
section. If you are still using project defaults, you should see the
"images\splashscreen.png" path in the Splash Screen field. If you
open "package.appxmanifest" in a text editor, you should see
SplashScreen element as a child of the VisualElements element. For
example, the default splash screen markup in the manifest file looks

Change the splash screen image by using the Browse... button and
confirm that the image was added to your Visual Studio project.

enter either the name of a color or '#' and the hex value of a color.
Setting a background color for your splash screen is optional. If you
do not specify a color, the splash screen background color defaults
to the Tile background color (the color in the Background Color field
of the Tile section in the Application UI tab). If you open
package.appxmanifest in a text editor, the Tile background color is
specified via the BackgroundColor attribute of the VisualElements
element.
my workaround is make a 620x300 splash .png image with alpha background, so its not a full 620x300 image. the image itself is just a 300x300 logo. my suggestion is just make a small center image (your app logo or something else) and make it blend to the background (gradient or alpha)

Android wallpaper also sliding left and right when we swipe the home screen

I want to develop a new home screen application for android. I saw the default home screen in my android 2.3.3 device, when ever I swipe the home screen left and right, the background wallpaper also sliding left and right. What is that view? How to get the same effect in an app?
Is it ViewPager? I checked the ViewPager class, but I didn't found any common background image for all views in that.
You probably want to use a canvas with a draw-able, then detect the users swiping and animate it in the background. It is likely that the default android backgrounds are doing the same. You wont be drawing the unseen portions of the view.

I suggest doing their lunar lander tutorial to learn how to use the canvas first.
You will make a canvas the background to your app and then lay your other ui elements on top of it unless you make the ui based inside the canvas.
