How to separate images in horizontal layout/scrollview? - android-studio

Question

I made this UI design with horizontal ScrollView, that has images of sports icons, but they are to close to each other, I want to have them separated so I can see the background of the ScrollView between them...
I tried with adding layout_weight to the images, but unfortunately, that is not the case.
