I created a footer component in SharePoint Online using SPFX. The footer is automatically created fixed because of the bottom placeholder, but I need it to be located at the bottom of the page( sticky).
I need a custom SPFX solution with dynamically links for the footer.
Is there any workaround for that?
Thank you!

I am making a fully customized Sharepoint, and I want to hide the breadcrumb. I tried placing visibility="false" within the Content Placeholder for the breadcrumb, but it only disables the Title and leaves the breadcrumb intact.
There were some fixes for this in 2010, etc. This required adding some CSS to the div containing the breadcrumb, but the breadcrumb is now contained in a Content Place Holder so it changes up the way to do things.
Does anyone have insight into this?
Thank you in advance!
SharePoint 2013 has its breadcrumb hidden by default, so I'm a little confused as to why it's visible in your solution (did you migrate from 2010?).
Anyway, settting .ms-breadcrumb-dropdownBox to { display:none; } with css (which is the out-of-the-box seattle.master way of hiding the breadcrumb) should do the trick.
I ran into the same issue. We did update 2007->2010->2013, and many sites maintained the breadcrumbs. However the CSS entry Kimzter noted didn't work. The one that worked for us was:
.ms-pagebreadcrumb { display:none; }
This is actually one of the few places I use the Script Editor webpart, as we have a lot of sites that want to maintain the breadcrumbs, so changing the master page or master CSS wouldn't work for us.
As you probably know, there is a Sitemap-Portlet in Liferay that you can bring into form using a Freemarker-Template in Portlet-Configuration.
Now in a normal Liferay Page under "SEO Settings" you can decide whether to include that page into the sitemap or not.
If you don't include it, it gets removed from the actual Sitemap (/sitemap.xml) but still is shown in the portlet.
Is there a way to access these "SEO Settings" (from freemarker code) so I could somehow filter by setting?
Thanks in advance!
Nevermind, I found out when looking into liferay database table 'layout'.
There is a column for TypeSettings which sometimes contained 'sitemap-include=1', so I simply checked it using layout.getTypeSettingsProperty("sitemap-include").
How can I style the background of a content query webpart in SharePoint 2010?
I have been having a look around, and can't seem to figure it out. I am able to edit the individual item styles using the ItemStyle.xsl file in SharePoint designer, but I need a background image on the container.
I have referenced the class that is generated by SharePoint - 'WebPartWPQ4' - in CSS, and made it work that way, but that changes the styles for all web parts in the system. (This also feels like a bit of a hack)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It is totally okay that you try to override custom styles in your css (although 'WebPartWPQ4' is not the best choice). However, to get what you need, just ensure that the web part you want to style has some wrapper around it and change selector in your css to .wrapper > .WebPartWPQ4 so that only this instance of the web part gets styled.
The way I have solved this is to wrap the webpart zone in a div in the .aspx page file.
You can then reference this div in a css file.
I want to create tool tips for each part in a form which employees have to fill in a share point web page. When users move the mouse cursor on each field (Title, description, department etc.) the related tip will be automatically became visible as a simple pop-up (tool tip) and summarize what they should write there. and when the mouse cursor is not on one of these fields there is no tool tip.
How can I design such a system via share point designer? I am not able use any add ons. I can't upload any additional things to the server. I have to make page based design.
I would be glad if you kindly help me.
Have you considered using field description?
This is SharePoint's default way of adding additional information to fields.
I couldn't find the ToolTip control in my SharePoint Designer 2007 Toolbox, so I looked on W3Schools.com for a standard HTML option and found that you can use the <ABBR> tag.
See http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_abbr.asp for the reference, but here's an example of a tooltip implemented on a SharePoint field title in a display form:
<td valign="top" class="ms-formlabel" style="width: 50px">
<H3 class="ms-standardheader">
<nobr><abbr title="The actual number of man-days effort expended.">Man-days (Actual)</abbr></nobr>
</H3>
</td>
Open up the aspx page for the form in SharePoint designer. Then you can use SharePoint designer just like Visual Studio to see the code. Try adding the "tooltip" attribute to the field controls within the form. There is a small possibility these controls will actually be written using XSLT instead of ASP, so be prepared to do some studying.
By default the display name of the site column becomes the tool tip for that field.
I need to swap out the out-of-the-box rich text editor with the Telerik editor for all article page layouts. Unfortunately, I only see three article layouts in Sharepoint Designer. When creating a new article page from within Sharepoint, however, it shows 4 article layouts. The one I see missing in Designer is the one with no option for article images.
Does anyone know where I can find the layout labeled as "Article page with body only"?
The file you are talking about is PageFromDocLayout.aspx.
