htacess internal rewrite rule not working - .htaccess

I have links on wp localhost xampp setup pages as http://localhost/mysite/portal/jxcc . the jxcc is different for different urls . I am trying to tell server to process them internally as http://localhost/mysite/portal/go.php?id=jxcc but nothing works . When i open the link in addressbar http://localhost/mysite/portal/jxcc , it says error 403 access forbidden. If i directly copy paste it in format http://localhost/mysite/portal/go.php?id=jxcc then it opens & processes the php output on page . I tried different tutorials and looking for answers on Stack Overflow, but whatever I do to the url doesnt get processed internally correctly by server . Some things i tried as below. ? I want the visitor to keep seeing http://localhost/mysite/portal/jxcc but the server should internally process it as http://localhost/mysite/portal/go.php?id=jxcc . Note the visitor will/should never be able to see go.php?id= . What should i do

Rewrite .htaccess symfony 3.4 for main page

I have the current htaccess file.
When I go to my main website http://mywebsite.com I receive this error that says Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
However, by adding web at the end as http://mywebsite.com/web, I am able to access to the website.
Is it possible to rewrite the .htaccess file to include that redirection so I won't need to add web every time?
Edit: My app is located in /www/mywebsite
# Use the front controller as index file. It serves as a fallback solution when
# every other rewrite/redirect fails (e.g. in an aliased environment without
# mod_rewrite). Additionally, this reduces the matching process for the
# start page (path "/") because otherwise Apache will apply the rewriting rules
# to each configured DirectoryIndex file (e.g. index.php, index.html, index.pl).
DirectoryIndex app.php
# By default, Apache does not evaluate symbolic links if you did not enable this

# resolution of the app.php file and to redirect to the correct URI. It will
# work in environments without path prefix as well, providing a safe, one-size
# fits all solution. But as you do not need it in this case, you can comment
# the following 2 lines to eliminate the overhead.
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}::$1 ^(/.+)/(.*)::\2$
RewriteRule ^(.*) - [E=BASE:%1]

RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} .
RewriteRule ^ - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]

# So in case you get a "too many redirects" error or you always get redirected

# environment variable, you have 2 choices:
# - disable this feature by commenting the following 2 lines or
# - use Apache >= 2.3.9 and replace all L flags by END flags and remove the
# following RewriteCond (best solution)
RewriteCond %{ENV:REDIRECT_STATUS} ^$
RewriteRule ^app\.php(?:/(.*)|$) %{ENV:BASE}/$1 [R=301,L]

Htaccess rewrite rule joomla 3

I want to make a rewrite rule to change old url to new url like this:
From
https://www.website.com/apple/something
To
https://www.website.com/orange/something
the something-part could be anything, I just want to exchange the word "apple" to "orange" in all links with apple in it.
I have a joomla 3.8 website and I've tried all sorts of rewrite rules in the joomla htaccess file but nothing works. I don't know how to write the rule and where to put it in the htaccess-file.
Latest fail:
RewriteRule ^/apple(.*) /orange$1 [L,R=301]
My joomla htaccess looks like this:

You can add the following to your .htaccess file in between the <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> tags: try this
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST}
RewriteRule ^apple/(.*)$ /orange/$1 [R=301,L]
I finally got it working with this rule:
RewriteRule ^apple/(.*)$ /orange/$1 [R=301,NC,L]
Hopefully it will helps somebody else ;-)

htaccess rewrite a get parameter

I have already the Typo3 Flow .htaccess
#
# TYPO3 Flow context setting
#
# You can specify a default context by activating this option:
# SetEnv FLOW_CONTEXT Production
# If the root path is not the parent of the Web directory,
# TYPO3 Flow's root path must be specified manually:
# SetEnv FLOW_ROOTPATH /var/www/myapp/
#
# mod_rewrite configuration
#
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
# Enable URL rewriting
RewriteEngine On
# Set flag so we know URL rewriting is available
SetEnv FLOW_REWRITEURLS 1
# You will have to change the path in the following option if you
# experience problems while your installation is located in a subdirectory
# of the website root.
RewriteBase /
# Stop rewrite processing no matter if a package resource, robots.txt etc. exists or not
RewriteRule ^(_Resources/Packages/|robots\.txt|favicon\.ico) - [L]
# Stop rewrite process if the path points to a static file anyway
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule .* - [L]
# Perform rewriting of persistent private resources
RewriteRule ^(_Resources/Persistent/[a-zA-Z0-9]+/(.+/)?[a-f0-9]{40})/.+(\..+) $1$3 [L]
# Perform rewriting of persistent resource files
RewriteRule ^(_Resources/Persistent/.{40})/.+(\..+) $1$2 [L]
# Make sure that not existing resources don't execute TYPO3 Flow
RewriteRule ^_Resources/.* - [L]
# Continue only if the file/symlink/directory does not exist
RewriteRule (.*) index.php
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
# prevents Apache's automatic file negotiation, it breaks resource URLs
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_setenvif.c>
# Redirect authorization header when PHP is running as CGI
SetEnvIfNoCase Authorization "Basic ([a-zA-Z0-9\+/=]+)" REMOTE_AUTHORIZATION=$0
</IfModule>
ErrorDocument 500 "<h1>Application Error</h1><p>The TYPO3 Flow application could not be launched.</p>"
So i think this is the standard flow htaccess.
Is there a possibility to define own rules?
My htaccess skills are quite bad. What do i have to edit do replace a GET parameter
show?path=
My Domain looks like
http://domain.com/show?path=/test/test2
It should look like
http://domain.com/show/test/test2
thanks in advance, regards
Yes, you can extend .htaccess and if you have mod_proxy enabled adding this line should be enough (check what [P] flag does)
# Add this line
RewriteRule ^show/(.*)$ /show?path=/$1 [P]
# Continue only if the file/symlink/directory does not exist
RewriteRule (.*) index.php
But you should handle this kind of stuff using Routing - then you will have uri builder and rewriting handled by framework.
If your path is just string argument in showAction, ten adding to My/Package/Configuration/Routes.yaml (and setting subroutes in main Configuration/Routes.yaml above Flow subroutes)
-
name: 'show'
uriPattern: 'show/{path}'
defaults:
'#package': 'My.Package'
'#controller': 'Standard'
'#action': 'show'
'#format': 'html'
appendExceedingArguments: true
If it's property of object you have example in link above.
The only problem is that / in argument (like '/test/test2') won't work with route above.. To handle arguments containing / you might need to create your own Route Part Handler.

Run multiple Drupal sites from subfolder in root, using multilingual urls

I have a (Drupal) website running in a subfolder, with another (Drupal) website running in the root. The website in the subfolder is a multilingual website. I need the subfolder name to change, depending on the language the site is being displayed in, but I'm not able to find or create a working rewrite rule for it.
The scenario is as follows:
The website is located in folder with the different languages showing urls like folder/folder, folder/dossier and folder/map. The language tags are handled by Drupal. The end result I desire is:
folder/folder >> folder/
folder/map >> map/
folder/dossier >> dossier/
This means that the subfolder is removed from the URL, and only the language urls remain.
Any idea how to solve this problem, using htaccess, prefably without redirects, and without having a negative influence on the root website?
Below is the Drupal htaccess being used. The same htaccess is used in the root, but then with the RewriteBase still commented.

Htaccess basic help needed

I'm trying to install friendica on my webhost (hourb, similar to 000webhost but with ssh).
I'm installing it to a directory/subdomain imoppen.domain.com (domain.com/imoppen)
But it says: Url rewrite in .htaccess is not working. Check your server configuration.
and i can't continue the installation.
I think it's something that has to do with directory's with the rewritebase part, but i don't know how to fix it.
It also gives a error in php, but that is not a very big deal for me;
Warning: set_time_limit() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/username/public_html/imoppen/boot.php on line 290
My first .htaccess (domain.com) contains:
# DO NOT REMOVE THIS LINE AND THE LINES BELOW ERRORPAGEID:yLaNyW
ErrorDocument 404 /404.html
# DO NOT REMOVE THIS LINE AND THE LINES ABOVE yLaNyW:ERRORPAGEID
RewriteBase /
My second .htaccess (domain.com/installationdirectory) contains:
Options -Indexes
AddType application/x-java-archive .jar
AddType audio/ogg .oga
<FilesMatch "\.(out|log)$">
Deny from all
</FilesMatch>
SetEnv PHP_VER 5_3
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
# Protect repository directory from browsing
RewriteRule "(^|/)\.git" - [F]
# Rewrite current-style URLs of the form 'index.php?q=x'.
# Also place auth information into REMOTE_USER for sites running
# in CGI mode.
# If you have troubles or use VirtualDocumentRoot
# uncomment this and set it to the path where your friendica installation is
# i.e.:
# Friendica url: http://some.example.com
# RewriteBase /
# Friendica url: http://some.example.com/friendica
# RewriteBase /imoppen/
#
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [E=REMOTE_USER:%{HTTP:Authorization},L,QSA]
</IfModule>
As you can see I've tried to use the rewritebase part, which unfortunately did not work.
My overall php version is set to 5.3
It seems like you are on hourb hosting (so am I) I solved it by going to settings -> htaccess -> Allow URL rewriting
