we have a schoolversion of Office365-Cloud. I want to write a PowerApp so that teachers can reset the password of their students.
But I'm not finding a Connector to update/reset passwords of users.
Is there a Connector for this? Is there another way to achive this?
Thank you
Thomas
Ideally you could use the Azure Active Directory connector. Unfortunately it doesn't have a password reset action. The exception being it allows creating a temporary password for a new user. If that is sufficient for you check out this Microsoft blog.
The functionality to reset a password does exist in the Azure AD graph API. You can likely use the HTTP with Azure AD connector, as it should help with some of the authentication hassle (Otherwise see this doc for the whole authentication flow). Here is a discussion with helpful tips on how to use.

I want login system in my capsule so that i can provide user more recommendation based on their profile of interest. So far, neither I am able to find any document related to login facility nor any example. It would be appreciated if will get any document or example.
Bixby supports logging in through OAuth 2.0, and this is the best way to guide your users through a login flow.
You will need to provide your own service to handle this OAuth flow, as Bixby Developer Center does not offer any web hosting services.
https://bixbydevelopers.com/dev/docs/dev-guide/developers/actions.using-oauth
Also is there a possibility that user can user can use app as a guest
user if no login credentials?
When you define your endpoints, you can define Actions that require OAuth and other Actions that do not require OAuth and the latter ones will define the "guest user" flow that is capable within your capsule prior to logging in.
If you don't need all the features of OAuth, and only need to store a few things between sessions with the same user, you may use the $vivContext.bixbyUserId value as an anonymous, but unique identifier for a user, and store their preferences using that id as a key, in a 3rd party database that you maintain.
I've done this with the "My Brain" capsule, to store quick memories/notes for users, without any requirement that they login or establish an account. I've created a tutorial version of the My Brain capsule that outlines the steps you need to use AWS for this purpose. Please feel free to clone or fork it and customize it for your needs.
I setup a password reset flow using Azure B2C and local Azure accounts that uses the user's email address and verification code. However, my client would like to have a password reset email sent to the user based on the user name, not email address. The user email would be looked-up behind the scenes and an email sent that would include a link to the password reset page as shown in the flow below.
After reading a gazillion articles on custom Azure B2C policies, I'm struggling to convince myself if it is possible to do what the client is asking for using Azure B2C.
In the sample password reset flow shown below, some of the areas I'm struggling with include:
Is it possible to create custom pages in the password reset flow such as the page in Step 4 that displays the user's masked email address, or the information page in Step 7?
Is there built-in functionality to look-up a user's email address and Active Directory Object ID based on their user name or would I have to call out to a custom Azure Function and use the Graph API to do this?
Is it possible to create and send a custom email that includes a hyperlink to the password reset page that includes the user's Active Directory Object ID as a query string parameter so the password reset page knows which user's password is being reset?
At the moment, it seems like it would be easier to create a completely custom ASP.NET MVC app to handle the requirements than it would be to use Azure B2C custom policies, but that isn't really a path I want to go down.
Is it possible to create custom pages in the password reset flow?
Yes you can create your own custom password reset user flow using azure active
directory B2C
In your case if you want to figure out your custom page you could

Using Microsoft Graph REST API you could fetch your user
information.
In your case you could use
List users
Get a user
To access user information you could also refer here in a great

You can use the company branding feature to customize the
content of verification emails for resetting password.
Note : For better clarity you could check the Azure AD B2C: Frequently asked
questions (FAQ) before final work around Which definitely guide you to
define ultimate go ahead.
Update
As per Microsoft document right now you cannot create according to your sample exactly. See the screen shot there is and important remarks.
Thank you.
This GitHub project covers the case you describe. Still needs a lot of understanding about custom flows to get it working.

I am attempting to our company's Jenkins from the Jenkins user database + matrix based security to using Google Login Plugin and Role based strategy plugin to give us better control of our user accounts.
With this new set up I am wondering how I could go about creating a designated user which is used by scripts which trigger Jenkins jobs remotely. I would like to do this without having to add a user to our company's GSuite account as this costs a few $ per month. Before the switch to Google Login I could just create a user manually in the Jenkins user database and take the API token from there but since switching to Google Login there is no option to add a user (which makes sense given than the users are managed by Google now). At the moment it seems like I have to choose from:
Use the old approach and forget about authenticating through google. This is not a great result as we want to minimize the number of user accounts we have to set up for new people joining the company to overhead of onboarding.
Use Google Login Plugin and create a new dedicated "Jenkins" user in GSuite for these scripting / requirements. This costs money.
Use an existing users API Token to avoid the cost of a new Google User in our GSuite account. This seems like bad practice which I'll regret at some point.
Is there a workaround which doesn't require a designated GSuite user or repurposing an existing Google users credentials just for this purpose?
I did a similar research a while ago and it seems like there is no way to do so right now.
However, I'm using SAML plugin with GSuite instead of Google Login Plugin, but from Jenkins security perspective I assume they work in the same way.
When you're using such plugin, Jenkins creates a securityRealm in its config. In my case it is:
<securityRealm class="org.jenkinsci.plugins.saml.SamlSecurityRealm" plugin="saml#1.0.7">
Therefore, to have SAML and Jenkins security matrix work simultaneously, you have to have several security realms.
Here is a ticket, which describes this issue, but it's still open
Regards!
I was also looking at how to trigger builds remotely when using the Google Login Plugin.
I ended up using the "Build Token Root Plugin" which solved this problem, without any need to create a dedicated user for this.
This plugin offers an alternate URI pattern which is not subject to the usual overall or job read permissions. Just issue an Http GET or POST to buildByToken/build?job=NAME&token=SECRET. This URI is accessible to anonymous users regardless of security setup, so you only need the right token.

I came across this issue in my app, that azure is letting user register themselves from email and social media (using registered email) both. Thus there are two users with same email Id.
Can you guys help me out in this one?
Thank you.
As of now in basic policies, it is not possible. But in advanced policies (IEF) you can make a trick by calling an API to check user email existence using Graph APIs and return success or exception.
There is an account linking feature which is in the roadmap and you can vote for that at https://feedback.azure.com/forums/169401-azure-active-directory/suggestions/13214529-azure-ad-b2c-how-to-avoid-validate-duplicate-s
Hopefully someone can help...
I need to provide client with a solution to allow bulk creation of user accounts into SharePoint SSO. The client wants to provide an excel spreadsheet with accounts, usernames and passwords and have that created in the SSO database.
I've been told its possible but I can't see how and google is failing me. I've been told its "some custom development and the SharePoint object model". As far as I can see all of the credentials stuff in the Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.SingleSignon namespace is very much read only.
I have a solution which is to get them to save the spreadsheet as a CSV file and to use jmeter to squirt the data in through the front end. I don't think that's really an acceptable solution though.
Anyone got any clues? Or can anyone say definitively this can't be done?
Thanks in advance...
You can store the user credentials in Active directory or SQL database based on the authentication method. You can write code for copy these credential in the AD/database.
