StarUML: go from Model Explorer to Design Model - staruml

All
Could you please suggest how can I move cursor from element on Model Explorer to it location on Design Model ?
I found that backward movement (Design Model -> Model Explorer) can be achieved by Ctrl+M.

You should be able to right click and select "Find in diagram" or "Find in model explorer", or something like it.

How can I customize the look of vertices in Azure CosmosDB?

I'm currently working with CosmosDB and I want to personalize the look of my vertices. In the Data Explorer there a menu in the upper toolbar called "Style". The uppermost dropdown called "Show vertex (node) as" dropdown does work, it re-labels the vertices as expected, but no matter which option I choose in the "Map this property to node color" dropdown no colors change, and the "Map this property to node icon" dropdown doesn't work either.
The latter writes "Icon set: blank for this collection" but I can't really find anything else. Is there an option to change vertex colors or to use different icons? I don't find the corresponding documentation.
Thank you
Changing vertices color does work in my side, you may check if the property you selected shares the same value with all the vertices.
While setting vertices icon, there's really no document related, here's a vote.
I think you can use other tools to personalize the look. Official doc recommends some tools(Linkurious Enterprise, Cambridge Intelligence) which are recommended by Apache Tinkerpop community too.
You can visualize data stored in Azure Cosmos DB Gremlin API by using
various data visualization solutions. The following solutions are
recommended by the Apache Tinkerpop community for graph data
visualization.

Change the arrow on association in UML-designer Eclipse plugin

I'm using the latest uml-designer with Eclipse NEON.2.
Any time I create association between classes it adds the direction arrow. I can change the diamonds from the properties window. However, the only way I found to change the arrow is by going into the Properties->Style->TargetArrow field. It works, but seems a bit hacky. Is there a more direct way of doing that?
Here you are just changing the style of the select association, you do not modify the semantic element. It fou want to set that an association is non navigable then you need to select the association and go to the the Properties View -> General tab -> Member End property and uncheck the Navigable checkbox in the table.

Callisto Ratings tab navigation

I'm using Callisto to add ratings to my app. Everything works fine but the tab navigation for this control.
Any idea about how to support tab navigation for this control, like the "Store" app for example? The idea is select the control (focus) and select the rating value with left/right keys (like a slider)
Thanks in advance!
The tab navigation works but it takes more tabs to hop from one rating item to another. I recommend you to use FocusWatcher class, you will be able to figure out the situation.

Enterprise Architect version 7.5.844 State Diagrams

i am trying to learn EA but got stuck trying to produce State Diagrams.
when i start a new project it gives me several option regarding what kind of document i wish to create. but i dont see the option to creat state diagrams.
am i overlooking something?
apologies for not being a programming question.
thank you.
In Enterprise Architect 8:
create a new Project from the File Menu,
cancel the dialog "Select Model(s)".
add a package to the Model by select "Add Package..." from the Project menu.
In the following dialog select "Class view" give it a name and click "ok".
After that select "Add Diagram..." from the Project menu.
In the list "Select Form" on the left side select "UML Behavioral",
in the list "Diagram Types" select "State Machine".
That's it!
Create any diagram... Click on the "More Tools" button bellow toolbox title on the left screen and then choose "State" toolbox.

Is it possible for Visio to automatically layout a UML diagram?

Is there a way to just lay everything out in the "best" possible manner, using the entire drawing area available? Or do I have to position the various elements myself?
You can try using the "Lay Out Shapes" dialog in Visio 2003. Go to the Shape menu and click on the "Lay Out Shapes" menu item. It can have some interesting results, but it might help if you play around with it.
yes it is possible.
Check out this
You can import your database into visio and it will create diagrams from it..
