Running CrossTabs in BlueSky Statistics with "factor" variables is generating an empty table of results. This result can be reproduced by opening up sample.xls (from: C:\Program Files\BlueSky Statistics\Sample Datasets\Excel ) and running the CrossTabs on the variables therein (after converting them to "factor" variables). What is the fix for this behavior?
I uninstalled/reinstalled the BlueSky Statistics Software, to no avail.
The best way to address this issue is to close the BlueSky Statistics application and then delete the BlueSky folder under c:\users\\Appdata\Roaming\
When you launch the application, we will create the folder again. The issue is caused by files in the user profile getting corrupt. We don't remove this on uninstall as users may have installed custom dialogs

I have troubles to get snakemake-minimal=7.8.5 to run on Windows 10. I can execute rules, but snakemake terminates due to an error regarding the metadata:
Failed to set marker file for job started ([Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'C:\\test\\project\\.snakemake\\incomplete\\cnVucy9leHBlcmltZW50XzAzL2RmX2ludGVuc2l0aWVzX3Byb3RlaW5Hcm91cHNfbG9uZ18yMDE3XzIwMThfMjAxOV8yMDIwX04wNTAxNV9NMDQ1NDcvUV9FeGFjdGl2ZV9IRl9YX09yYml0cmFwX0V4YWN0aXZlX1Nlcmllc19zbG90XyM2MDcwLzE0X2V4cGVyaW1lbnRfMDNfZGF0YS5pcHluYg=='). Snakemake will work, but cannot ensure that output files are complete in case of a kill signal or power loss. Please ensure write permissions for the directory C:\test\project\.snakemake
I tried to troubleshoot doing the following
change the folders: Documents, User folder, and like the above in the root folder of my c drive
I tried to manipulate the security settings: Controlled folder or RandsomWare Access, see discussion -> it is deactivated
If I erase the .snakemake it is re-creating upon execution, so I assume I have write access. However, some security setting is disallowing the long filename with the hash
I tried the same workflow on a different Windows 10 machine and there I don't get the error, so I assume it is some windows issue.
Did anyone encounter the same error and found a solution?
I agree it is due to the length of the filename. It seems the default max filename length is 260. The file you pasted has a length of 262. You can edit the registry to allow longer filenames. Also consider opening an issue in snakemake to improve the documentation or otherwise address this issue for windows machines.
I installed spark and set all the environment variable properly of spark and python as also mentioned in stackoverflow but still getting this warning on starting spark
20/09/06 13:33:52 WARN ProcfsMetricsGetter: Exception when trying to compute pagesize, as a result reporting of ProcessTree metrics is stopped
I was facing the same issue. The reason is that environment variables are not set up properly. Earlier what I was doing is just clicking on the "Enter" when the warning comes, and the process continued from the next line without any issues. Though it is a temporary solution but it worked.
Another solution which worked for me permanently is to configure environment/PATH variables properly.
Steps:
1. Make sure to have py4j zip file available. My py4j was in the directory,
"C:\Spark\spark-3.0.1-bin-hadoop2.7\python\lib".
2. Now, Go to Environment Variables.
3. Go to PATH in user variables.
4. Click on Edit, and Now add these path as a new.
5. %SPARK_HOME%\bin
6. %SPARK_HOME%\python
7. %SPARK_HOME%\python\lib\py4j-(version number)-src.zip, mine was 0.10.9
so I typed, %SPARK_HOME%\python\lib\py4j-0.10.9-src.zip
8. Finally add, %PYTHONPATH%
Click on OK, and save all changes. Rerun the program it should work properly.
So I am a newbie to OpenModelica. I have a bit of experience using LMS Amesim. I created my first simple model using OM and simulated it from within the OMeditor.
When I switch to the plot window, there are NO output variables to plot. That tells me that the simulation may not have run. However, no error messages popped up. When I checked the model, I found it to be fine (not overconstrained or underconstrained).
What gives? This is OM 1.14 on Linux Ubuntu 16.04.
My Modelica file is a simple 2nd order system with feedback control is available via pastebin here or may be downloaded here via google drive link
The messages that I have from the output window are:
/tmp/OpenModelica_drN/OMEdit/Feedback/Feedback -port=35318 -logFormat=xmltcp -override=startTime=0,stopTime=100,stepSize=0.2,tolerance=1e-6,solver=dassl,outputFormat=csv,variableFilter=.* -r=/tmp/OpenModelica_drN/OMEdit/Feedback/Feedback_res.csv -w -lv=LOG_STATS -inputPath=/tmp/OpenModelica_drN/OMEdit/Feedback -outputPath=/tmp/OpenModelica_drN/OMEdit/Feedback
The initialization finished successfully without homotopy method.
The simulation finished successfully.
This was a bug. Should be fixed now:

I am trying to run a model in GAMS (using the Windows GAMS 64, version 24.5). The model .gms file is located on a Z drive that is mapped to a SharePoint folder. We use this setup all the time with other programming languages without problem. But when I try to run or save my model, I get the following error:
Unable to save file:
Z:\[my file path]\mymodel.gms
Error 123: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
When I try to run the file, I also get the following message in the process window:
*** Error: Error writing GAMSNext: Invalid argument
Exit code = 113
SharePoint is really useful in tracking versions and letting the teams collaborate using a tool they are already familiar with (and our IT dept will not let us install git or similar). So I'd like to figure out how to get this to work, if possible, and why it is only a problem in GAMS.
Any insights? In particular, anyone know what the GAMSNext file that GAMS seems to be trying to write is? Also, why is GAMS perfectly able to save files to SharePoint when I create my project file (the .gpr file was, in fact, saved just fine), but not when I try to save a change to my .gms file? What is the difference in the GAMS save process for a .gms file and a .gpr file?
I have seen this issue before - GAMS not running a file on a network path/drive and give a 'UNC path error' or so.
If I recall, the issue was solved when we took the project file out of the "My Documents" folder. If it is a shared drive created for windows, you may have a "My Documents" folder which has a path with "Documents". Create your GAMS folder from the root and create your .gpj and .gms files there.
Hope this helps.
Application is unable to load ANY xaml. Nor create empty window "var abc = new Window1();"
Error message is still the same:
An exception of type 'System.IO.IOException' occurred in PresentationFramework.dll but was not handled in user code
Additional information: Cannot locate resource 'wvmlog.xaml'. (for wvmlog.xaml)
Exception occur on InitializeComponent();
These objects are created without error on another PC - so problem is not in Project settings.
Do not help:
reinstall VS
new install of VS
reinstal .net frameworks
undo source from TFS
complete new workspace and load from TFS
visual studio Clean colution
find and delete all cached dll, pbd
remove all obj directories in solution
install and use VS 2010, VS 2012, VS 2013
move VS and solution into another hard drive
Do Help:
Copy of project (help for 1-2 days, then problem appear again without any manipulation with xaml)
Change solution configuration from 'Debug' to 'Release' (help for 1-2 days, then problem appear in Release configuration without any manipulation with xaml)
Problem is at one PC with Win 7, 64-bit.
The problem occur suddenly after some xaml window renaming, but these changes was many times undo-ed, but problem remain.
Maybe some OS damage, or some wpf/.net caches?
Why wpf/.net show such error on project which is compiled without error - so compiler KNOW that these resources does exist?
Any help is appreciated.
I had this very same issue.
What design pattern are you using?
The issue I had was when I changed the output window ie created a new one and deleted the old one.
I am using MVVM so I created the window in the View folder.
If this is your issue, your APP.XAML will look like:
<Application x:Class="dotDiff2013.App"
xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
StartupUri="MainWindow.xaml">
<Application.Resources>
</Application.Resources>
</Application>
You then change the startURI to wherever your new window is stored. ie in the view folder.
StartupUri="Main/MainWindow.xaml"
This helped for me. Hope it's the solver to your problem.
