Open external link with Flutter Web 1.9 - flutter-web

I have a Flutter web project, started with flutter_web and migrated to 1.9, all works great but no way to make a external link work.
There're some solutions in stack overflow but any of the solutions don't seems to works as expected, tried all from this link and similar other ones, I supouse the accepted questions would work before 1.9.

With flutter 1.10, we can use universal_html package to open external link:
import 'package:universal_html/prefer_universal/html.dart' as html;
// ...
html.window.location.assign('https://stackoverflow.com');

As of today, you can use url_launcher to open urls for flutter web app. It supports both relative and absolute urls.

Now you can alternatively add url_launcher_web dependency along with url_launcher and then use launch and canLaunch functions from url_launcher package for your web project as if it was mobile.

url_launcher_web: ^0.1.0
Seems like it's a temporary solution though, to be merged with the main url_launcher plugin. For now it only works on web but ruins the mobile build (Flutter v1.12.16-pre.35).

Using flutter mobile packages in flutter web

I am using flutter web and I want to use some packages that are available for the mobile in the web version of flutter. The pubspec of flutter web look a bit different from that of flutter mobile but this is not the real problem. What I am concerned about is that is it possible to add the packages availble for mobile into that of the web. If yes, what is the proper way to do so?
This is not currently possible (as of June 2019) for any package which is dependent on the mobile OS. The reason for this is that the plugins on mobile use platform channels to communicate with platform-dependent code implementations for Android and iOS written in java/kotlin for android or objc/swift for iOS.
The only way those packages would ever work on the web is if a web-specific implementation were written for them which I assume would either use an emscripten-compiled library or more likely some sort of javascript bridge to call the relevant browser APIs.
From the flutter for web readme:
flutter_web does not have a plugin system yet. Temporarily, we provide access to dart:html, dart:js, dart:svg, dart:indexed_db and other web libraries that give you access to the vast majority of browser APIs. However, expect that these libraries will be replaced by a different plugin API.
For any plugin that is 100% dart code, you should be able to just include it in your pubspec.yaml the same way you would in flutter - under dependencies.
yes you can by take source code packages from github and take codes inside lib file inside package and put it in your project and fix errors may happen inside files by change path import to:
import 'package:flutter_web/material.dart';
and some more changes may need to do it.
it will work 100% and so easy :)

how to load a polymer based website in a webview in an android app

I have made a project based on polymer. It works fine on any web browser. I want to make an android app with only a webview that loads my polymer website. The webview is working fine for all websites but not for my polymer based website. Please help.
If you use any other version of Android other than Lollipop you will surely run into this problem, that's because html imports are relatively new to HTML so it is implemented only in the very latested builds of chromium.
One way to get around the problem is to install an app by Google called Android System WebView, which brings the latest features including html import of Chromium to older devices.
Eric Bidelman has just posted an article on how to do this on the official Polymer site.
If you need support for older versions of Android you should look into Crosswalk by Intel. It's covered a bit in the article as well.

How to create crashlytics binding for Xamarin.iOS?

I've downloaded Crashlytics app that integrates Crashlytics.framework into XCode project, and it works great for XCode. But as far as I know, to build Xamarin.iOS binding I need static library, and I can't find it neither in framework nor in Crashlytics.app contents. There is only "run" executable and header. I don't know how to use it under Xamarin.iOS. Btw, AndrewReed on Xamarin forum managed to build dll somehow, so it's possible.
So, how to create crashlytics binding for Xamarin?

As with quite a few sdk's, sometimes they bundle a folder instead of the static lib,which essentially is the static library. There will be a sizeable file that maybe doesnt have an extension(this is your .a file) so you can rename that to be .a and then include that in a xamarin bindings project. Run the sharpie marker on the header file in the folder which will generate your necessary files. Watch out for one gotcha, delegate is a reserved word in c#, so you may need to go around and change this by adding an # symbol(to the name) to allow you to use the reserved word.
So what I actually did was, created a project in xcode and ran the crashlytics programme, this then added the crashlytics framework to the project. In finder locate that and you will have a structure like so: - run - /Versions --/A ---Crashlytics ---/Headers ----Crashlytics.h
So the /A folder is essentially your static lib, use this and create your binding from that, or in this particular case, just download it from the mono bindings || my repo.

The latest version of Xamarin seems to have it build in.
Here are the steps that I followed
1.) In the Xamarin Studio , go to the main app, and add the Crashlytics API key in the Build -> Crash reporting section. Build and run that app. The evidence suggests that is enough to get data sent to Crashlytics. I saw that it knew about older versions of the app I had built and ran weeks ago with the API key already in.
2.) Go to Xcode and create a new project with the same name as the Xamarin project, com.{company}.{appname}. (You probably need to have that profile downloaded.) I did it in Swift by the way with no issues.
3.) Go to crashlytics.com com and go to settings -> Apps (or https://www.crashlytics.com/onboard)
4.) You will get an app to download and run. The app walks through the steps of adding
A.) A build phase run script
B.) Code to the application main Crashlytics.startWithAPIKey(“nnnn”)
5.) Run your Xcode version of the app
The Crashlytics web page popped up immediately.

As for special NodeJs projects, there's no notion of that. You would likely just create a normal Web project. We do have the concept of libraries that you can add to a project, wherein you could point to js files/libs for NodeJS. We also has special syntax files for describing JS libraries/APIs so it can be integrated into our content assist. A good example might be the ruble we have for jQuery which contains that file for two versions of the jQuery API. Here's the 1.6.2 version: https://github.com/aptana/javascript-jquery.ruble/blob/master/support/jquery.1.6.2.sdocml The bundle.rb up in the parent directory hooks up the file in the ruble/bundle.
My guess is that creating an analogous NodeJS ruble and building up an sdocml (xml) file that described the API would be the easiest way to get started. I highly recommend using Sublime Text 2.
There are a few nodejs plugins as well as v8 javascript [Sublime v8] and standard ECMA-262.
This is not a direct answer to your question, but if you're looking for a good IDE for node.js, you should definitely try Microsoft WebMatrix 2. It basically does what you requested to do.
I was fed up of fighting with Aptana Studio and plugins and all this stuff... until I found out Sublime Text. Simple and wonderful.

Problems creating a Java Mobile Application project

I have installed the Netbeans 6.7 IDE with Java ME included, but cannot create a Mobile Application project from the Java ME category. When I select the project type the wizard stops at "Finding Feature" with the message:
Not all requested modules can be enabled:
[StandardModule:org.netbeans.modules.mobility.end2end.kig jarFile:C:\Program Files\NetBeans 6.7\mobility8\modules\org-netbeans-modules-mobility-end2end-kit.jar.
I am attempting to run this on Vista Home Premium. I have tried to run the IDE as Administrator with no luck.
I am at a loss for where to go next as I cannot seem to find any information regarding this issue. Even if you don't have the solution any insight into this error message would be helpful.
I am unable so far to get the project running via the Netbeans IDE install. I have, for the time being, installed the Java ME SDK which includes a very stripped down version of the Netbeans IDE for mobile development.
I originally had some issues starting the SDK as well on Vista. The IDE reported that it could not connect to the device manager on localhost. After some searching I found this link: Java ME SDK Startup Problem which suggests changing the hosts file localhost entry from IPv6 to IPv4. The fix worked perfectly and I can now compile and run code in the emulator.
This is not an optimal solution as the SDK does not include the visual design tools, however I am able to get a basic project going in the mean time.
I have given up on the 6.7 version and have instead located and installed 6.5.1. This previous version has been working just fine and seems to do everything I need.
I ran into the exact same error today while installing NB 6.8 beta. To resolve it we need to install two plugins:
Java Web Applications (as mentioned by Ali above) and
Sun Java System Web Server 7.0
Note that these two are part of the Category called "Java Web and EE" hence the confusion that we need to install Glassfish App Server. But we need these two plugins because they are required for debugging using breakpoints in emulator. Netbeans runs a web server when we do breakpoint based debugging.
Also note that the Java Web applications needs SOAP Web Services and JavaScript Debugger plugins to run and so these plugins are also installed when you try to install it.
You also need to install "Java Web Applications" plugin.
Tools->Plugins->Available Plugins
If the module is present, you should try unzipping it to check its content makes sense.
You should also be able to rebuild it from Netbeans sources.
You can also try to figure out why this happens by debugging the module loader inside Netbeans from its sources, using another IDE, presumably the latest version of Netbeans you can find without the issue.
If the module is missing, you might want to get the missing jar file from an installation of a previous version of Netbeans, see if it is compatible.
6.5.1 isn't missing any module.
back in version 5.5, the mobility module had to be downloaded and installed separately from the main IDE.
