Dynamically change pdf export of report name in Cognos 10.2.1 - cognos

I have a report called "Sales". This report is run once a month by a scheduled job and sent by email in PDF format. My users want to have the month of the data to be shown in the filename, for example "Sales_201901" for the January execution "Sales_201902" for february and so on.
I've looked all over to see how can I do that and so far I've seen no option to do that. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Power Automate Running a Report From a Webpage

I have a time/attendance report I run every Monday morning from an internal website. I go to the internal company website, pick the date from a date picker for the last week (Sunday to Sunday), select a few drop downs and click search. Then click export to excel button and the report is downloaded. Then I email out the report to everyone. Is there a way to automate it? I tried using the screen recorder function in Power Automate but can't figure out how to make sure the correct date is picked every week since that part will change every time.
Thank you!

Have Excel Chart only show current month and YTD

I’m currently working on creating a dynamic chart which is updated monthly in accordance with the information imported into the excel file.
The table is updated with the information, where the chart is supposed to only show the current month based on a specific cell, shown in the attached excel file.
Example text
Period 01JAN18 0001 to 31JAN18 2259
What the chart needs to do is match the text with a month, so if the text says “JAN” it’s supposed to grab the data for January, if it says “FEB” it’s supposed to grab the data for February.
Currently the chart shows the data for every single month, where I then have to filter out the current month and Year To Date.
Link to excel file
I hope this explains it properly :)
I am also open to coding it in VBA if necessary.
Question answered on Superuser since it was requested that I posted there instead.

Wrong datetime when exporting from sharepoint to excel

I'm using oDataFeed to retrieve sharepoint list data and place it in excel sheet. One of the fields in the list is date time field. I have noticed that the date is correct in the list but not on the excel sheet.
For example, list shows 2/25/2016 12:00 AM and excel shows 2/24/2016 9:00 PM.
What's the cause of this and how do I fix it?
I think you see the date on the form into your local timezone. And most likely SharePoint service you are consuming is returning UTC date. Not 100% sure, you might check. What is the difference between your timezone and UTC?

Crystal Reports BusinesObject Header issue

The company I'm working for has an older version of Crystal Reports before it was part of SAP, it was part of buinessobjects. We have version 11.5 of crystal reports businessobjects.
I am running into a unique issue with one report. When I schedule the report to run on a weekly basis, it adds an attachement Excel document. The issue is that the headers are missing. I have checked off the option to include headers in the attachment, but it is still not showing up.
I'm not sure why this is, because when I run the report directly in Crystal Reports, it shows the headers and I'm able to export it as an excel (data only) from Crystal Reports and the headers come accross.
It is only when I schedule the report to run it does not give the headers. I have tried all the options I can think of and done research, but the version my company is running is so old, that it is hard to find information on how to do things.
Thanks,
Dave
Are you exporting in Excel Data Only ?
When you export to Excel (Data Only), under the Excel Format Options, choose Custom.
Expand the Options.
Ensure to uncheck Simplify page headers

Create report as both Crystal and Excel

We have a report that queries Oracle and uses Crystal Reports to make a report. The users would like the output as both a Crystal Report and Excel. Yes, I know they can output the results of the report to Excel. Is there any (reasonable) way to automatically provide both output formats? The reports are run in Business Objects Enterprise.
I see the output format is set in the BOE Central Managament Console for the report under Schedule/Format. That makes it look like the option is one or the other, not both.
You can create a new publication and add this report, it will allow you to have both crystal report and excel formats on the email as attachments in BOE. Hope this helps.

Tracey
