I want to add a navigation-support model to my capsule.
I can't figure out how to add it from the Bixby Studio, and I don't know what the filename should be.
I figured it out. The file needs to be in the resources folder, and named something.navigation.bxb.

I am working on Hybris and I generated a new extension using hybris command (ant extgen) with default settings. During extension generation, I did not change default values like I let the project name to be "training". I started developing some code just for the sake of trying it but now I wrote quite a lot of code and instead of generating a new extension, I am trying to rename "training" to a new name which is more suitable for my project.
My question is - Is there any shortcut to rename "training" to a new name. By rename I don't mean standard intellij or eclipse module rename but also updating all extension specific properties which are referring to extension name "training". Is there any hybris ant command for it?
Here is the way I can think of.
You can declare your extension as a template for extgen and then generate a new extension based on it with a new name and structure.
Let me take training as your current extension which you want to convert to some other name. Below are the steps you need to perform.
Make sure your extension (training) is there in the localextensions.xml
Update extensioninfo.xml to mark the extension as a template by adding below meta tag
<meta key="extgen-template-extension" value="true"/>
Look like
<coremodule generated="true" manager="org.training.jalo.TrainingManager" packageroot="org.training"/>
<meta key="extgen-template-extension" value="true"/>
<webmodule jspcompile="false" webroot="/training"/>
Create an extgen.properties inside training extension/folder with below properties
Please note, If your current extension is with a different name then training in that case you need to change below values accordingly.
extgen.properties:
YEXTNAME_TOKEN=training
YMODULE_TOKEN=training
YMODULE_PACKAGE_ROOT=training
YMODULE_CLASS_PREFIX=training
YPACKAGE_TOKEN=org.training
YMANAGER_TOKEN=TrainingManager
YCLASSPREFIX_TOKEN=Training
YGENERATED_TOKEN=Generated
Run ant extgen and select your extension (training) from the given selection option and give the name and package the way you want when it prompt for it.
Now replace training extension with the newly created extension inside localextensions.xml
Test and patch wherever needed! :-)
I don't think so. It might also be easier just to create a new one and move the code into the new extension.
No it is not possible. The generated extension itself was created from a template where the word "training" is inserted into many places (class names, package names, configurations...) .
The other approach would be to look into the ext-template folder (6.7). There are all templates. Search for any token in the templates and make appropriate change in your generated extensions.
Depending on the amount of your extensions, it will also take some time... and you need to understand how extgen works, first.
I have a question regarding Dependency Properties in WPF.
I am working on a project which uses controls from another package. I modified one of the controls by adding new dependency properties to it. However, when I try to access them in xaml that is in my project, I get error stating that there's no such property in my control. At the same time when I set the values of those properties in style for this control in a file that is located in the same package as the control, everything works. Also, the old dependency properties work fine.
I'm not sure what code to include to illustrate this, please give a hint.
Could anybody at least hint what is going on?
Thank you in advance.
The problem was that I didn't include in Build-Events of my first solution where the controls reside the path where to copy the respective dll so that the second solution could detect the changes.
anybody know what exactly below code does?
SPWeb.Features.Add(Guid, bool)
Does it use the .xmls in Template\Features\<-myFeature-> to install the feature and activate it? Or just activate it? Or something else?
Thanks!
The method you specified activates feature with specified id on specified SPWeb object. It does not install it. Here is MSDN link.
It actually uses xml files in "Template\Features\<-myFeature->" folder when you activate feature.
But if you change file in this folder you won't see any effect momentary because this files are cached. After changing files in feature folder you need to do iisreset and then activate feature in order to see the difference.
I want to rename the app I'm working on. I have changed the Bundle Name to the new name and I've also renamed the whole Xcode project. But for some reason the the .app file has the original name. Is there something I'm missing?
Thank you in advance! :)
Have you checked the Product Name under Packaging in Build Settings for the target?
By default it is set to the target name, but you can set it to what you want.
You may need to manually edit various items in the menus in MainMenu.xib, too.
Try cleaning and rebuilding the project. But also make sure the CFBundleDisplayName isn't set to the old name in Info.plist. You might also try searching your build settings for the name just to make sure.

Question: I am creating a large preference editing tool with pages of dialogs with different settings for the user to customize. Each "page" of settings will be written to its own XML file.
The user will have two options: 1) Save These, where they will be prompted to specify which pages they wish to save, and 2) Save All, which will save each page into their own XML files.
For the Save All function, I'd like it if the user only had to specify a directory into which he/she wishes to save all of the files. I'm fairly certain that I have to use the FolderBrowserDialog class, but I'm not sure how. I imagine it's very similar to an OpenFile dialog or a SaveFile dialog with one of the arguments specifying to save to a directory.
I found the FolderBrowserDialog class on the MSDN, but it wasn't very helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
SOLUTION: I have found a working solution. It is essentially a combination of a few answers above, but for people seeking a similar solution in the future, I referenced THIS page. The author created a wrapper class for the messy code that is needed to create a directory-chooser dialog. Thank you for all the suggestions. You all helped me along in the right direction. Cheers.

Use ::SHBrowseForFolder(). It shows the standard "browse for folder dialog" (at least up to Windows XP; I've no idea if Vista/7 have a new one).
I personally use it wrapped in a class, as seen here.
I think asking the user to save "individual" pages is weird, me think you should save all of them in one file (hey, but that just me).
If you need to save individual page, you will have to prompt the user with a small dialog that lists the pages and let the user select which page; or you can decide to save only the pages that were modified.
To select a folder, the simplest way is to use ShBrowseForFolder (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb762115(v=vs.85).aspx)
Max.
Look into the OPENFILENAME structure and the GetSaveFileName function. The latter actually displays the save file dialog.
