I have trouble running rust in my linux box.
Here is my installation log:
>> curl https://sh.rustup.rs -sSf | sh
info: downloading installer
Welcome to Rust!
This will download and install the official compiler for the Rust programming
language, and its package manager, Cargo.
It will add the cargo, rustc, rustup and other commands to Cargo's bin
directory, located at:
/home/linuxbox/.cargo/bin
This path will then be added to your PATH environment variable by modifying the
profile files located at:
/home/linuxbox/.profile
/home/linuxbox/.bash_profile
You can uninstall at any time with rustup self uninstall and these changes will
be reverted.
Current installation options:
default host triple: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
default toolchain: stable
modify PATH variable: yes
1) Proceed with installation (default)
2) Customize installation
3) Cancel installation

Rust is installed now. Great!
To get started you need Cargo's bin directory ($HOME/.cargo/bin) in your PATH
environment variable. Next time you log in this will be done automatically.
To configure your current shell run source $HOME/.cargo/env
I have set the the environment variable and my path shows the /home/linuxbox/.cargo/bin/cargo. However, when I type 'cargo` I am getting
>> cargo
bash: /home/linuxbox/.cargo/bin/cargo: Permission denied
.cargo and .rustup directory permissions are:
>> ll .cargo/ .rustup/

Could someone shed some light to help troubleshoot/fix this?
EDIT:
My distribution: Antix (Debian Based) and I am having a separate /home partition.
Managed to get that work by mounting my /home partition by adding the following line in the /etc/fstab
/dev/sda4 /home/rusty ext4 defaults 0 2
Thank you guys

I want to connect a PostgreSQL database with a MongoDB by using Mongo_fdw. After following this instruction to install mongo_fdw with the autogen.sh script on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, I wanted to check the connection and ran CREATE EXTENSION mongo_fdw; in my database, but the following error occured:
ERROR: could not access file "$libdir/mongo_fdw": No such file or directory
Searchig for a solution I found this page on GitHub, where the same error is discussed. Following the recommendations there, I checked pg_config --version, pg_config --libdir and pg_config --sharedir with the following results:
$ pg_config --version
PostgreSQL 12.9
$ pg_config --libdir
/home/qgis/anaconda3/lib
$ pg_config --sharedir
/home/qgis/anaconda3/share
When I check /home/qgis/anaconda3/share/extension I get the following files:

I also ran ldconfig as it is recommended on the GitHub page but with no results.
Does someone has an idea how to solve this error?
Thanks in advance!
You have to specify the correct pg_config when building the software, probably
make PG_CONFIG=/usr/lib/postgresql/14/bin/pg_config
That file should exist if you installed the package with the C headers, which is typically called "devel" or "dev" or similar.
I am testing python code performance with uvloop. I am getting 'uvloop' has no attribute 'EventLoopPolicy' error.
I am using python 3.7 and
uvloop 0.13.0
pycharm
I tried changing interpreter reinstalling uvloop but none of them did not work.
Can anyone suggest what is the problem?
Rename your own file to something else than uvloop.py, such as test_uvloop.py.
You're confusing Python's import machinery by having your own file the same name as the library you're trying to use.
I see that you're on a Mac, but I just fixed this problem on my CentOS7.x server by properly setting permissions to the uvloop Python package. It's pesky because (at least on CentOS) some pip-installed Python packages go in /usr/local/lib/python3.7/site-packages and some go in /usr/local/lib64/python3.7/site-packages.
Check out what the files in my lib64 directory looked like before I fixed it:
me#myserver /usr/local/lib64/python3.7/site-packages

Unless I was running as a root user the uvloop files are untouchable and that's what caused the error. On your Mac, try to find where your uvloop package is installed and make sure your script can access it.

ADD . /morty/
WORKDIR /morty/
RUN yarn cache clean && yarn install
RUN ls node_modules | grep autosuggest
RUN find /morty/node_modules/react-autosuggest -ls
CMD npm run dev
This builds as expected, but as soon as I request a page from the dev server, I get an error

which would suggest to me that for some reason, the react-autosuggest module was not installed; however, the output of step 6 & 7 in my Dockerfile seems to invalidate that hypothesis.

package.json does contain the entry "react-autosuggest": "^9.3.4", in dependencies and the app performs as expected in its un-containerized form.
also, possibly relevant is that the base config for this project came from
the Arc project
I also faced this issue while trying to build my npm project using a container which had WORKDIR as a mounted volume. I resolved this issue by removing the mounted volume by name.
docker volume ls to list the volumes
DRIVER VOLUME NAME
local myproject_named_volume
docker volume rm -f myproject_named_volume to remove the volume
Hope this helps.

tesseract detects 'deu' and 'eng' as available languages

Application & Problem
The software application is build based on Spring Boot framework. The code executing the tesseract command looks sth. like:
Runtime.getRuntime().exec(new String[] {
"tesseract",
"--tessdata-dir", "/usr/share/tessdata",
"-l", lang.getISO3Language(),
inputTiff.toAbsolutePath().toString(), extractedcntPath });
The appication logfile says
2016-12-30 20:30:02,320 [https-jsse-nio-8443-exec-7] WARN PDFContentExtractor - read_params_file: parameter not found: II*
Executing tesseract with tessdata dir fails
$ tesseract --tessdata-dir /usr/share/tessdata -l deu inputPdf6632237754781472255.tiff out4
read_params_file: parameter not found: II*
When executing tesseract with no tessdata dir works well
$ tesseract -l deu input.tiff out5
Tesseract Open Source OCR Engine v3.02.02 with Leptonica
Questions & Ideas
Why does tesseract work well and detect the available languages without the --tessdata-dir parameter set?
Why does teasseract crash during initialization when using the --tessdata-dir parameter set?
Is there any difference between running tesseract with/without the --tessdata-dir parameter set?
What can I do to fix this problem?
Install a newer version of tesseract?
Compile a version from sources?
Use other traindata/tessdata?
Run tesseract without the --tessdata-dir param?
If anybody can help me getting this issue solved in the upcomming week, it would not only make me happy, but rather our whole team.
Thank you very much in advance!
-Rüdiger
That command switch is not available until 3.04 version. Executing tesseract command will reveal what command options are supported for the current version.

I setup svn on my local system /svn/repos/myproject by following this tutorial. I'm able to view the repo in browser.
But when it try to import new project I couldn't through svn client ( rapid svn ) it shows following error:
Execute: Import
Error while performing action:

How to solve this issue?
I've given 777 permission to repos directory which solved this issue. But i got another issue like Couldn't perform atomic initialization.
I think this is due to incompatible sqlite version with subversion we're using, this can be solved by updating svnadmin command,
svnadmin create --pre-1.6-compatible --fs-type fsfs /svn/repos/myproject
