I have been trying to pull up the data from Contract, ContractDetail, ContractItem and InventoryItem in Generic Inquiry. So, after adding up all 4 tables I created relationship as below.
The relationship between Contract and ContractDetail is fine. And now since ContractDetail uses ContractItemID, I have set the relationship as below. But it throws me error like this.
And, upon looking into the stack trace, I find the generated query looks this:
DECLARE #P0 SmallDateTime(4) SET #P0='9/27/2018 12:00:00 AM' DECLARE #P1 nvarchar(MAX) SET #P1='0' SELECT COUNT(*)
FROM (
[Contract] InnerQuery_Contract
INNER JOIN (
[ContractDetail] InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail
INNER JOIN [Contract] InnerQuery_ContractDetail_Contract ON [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_Contract].CompanyID IN (1, 3) AND 32 = SUBSTRING([InnerQuery_ContractDetail_Contract].CompanyMask, 1, 1) & 32 AND [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_Contract].[DeletedDatabaseRecord] = 0 AND [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail].[ContractID] = [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_Contract].[ContractID] AND [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail].[RevID] = [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_Contract].[RevID]
LEFT JOIN
[ContractDetail] InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetailExt_ContractDetailExt
ON [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetailExt_ContractDetailExt].[ContractID] = [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail].[ContractID] AND [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetailExt_ContractDetailExt].[LineNbr] = [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail].[LineNbr] AND [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetailExt_ContractDetailExt].[RevID] = [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_Contract].[LastActiveRevID] AND [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetailExt_ContractDetailExt].CompanyID = 3
) ON [InnerQuery_Contract].[ContractID] = [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail].[ContractID] AND [InnerQuery_ContractItem].[ContractItemID] = [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail].[ContractItemID] AND [InnerQuery_ContractDetail_ContractDetail].CompanyID = 3
INNER JOIN [ContractItem] InnerQuery_ContractItem ON [InnerQuery_ContractItem].CompanyID = 3 AND [InventoryItem].[inventoryID] = [InnerQuery_ContractItem].[RecurringItemID]
)
WHERE [InnerQuery_Contract].CompanyID IN (1, 3) AND 32 = SUBSTRING([InnerQuery_Contract].CompanyMask, 1, 1) & 32 AND [InnerQuery_Contract].[DeletedDatabaseRecord] = 0 AND [InnerQuery_Contract].[UsrLockDate] < #P0 AND (CASE WHEN ([InnerQuery_Contract].[BaseType] = 'T' OR [InnerQuery_Contract].[BaseType] = 'R') THEN CONVERT (BIT, 1) ELSE CONVERT (BIT, 0) END) = #P1 OPTION(OPTIMIZE FOR UNKNOWN)
So, there is problem with Alias name for table in the query. So, how do I fix this issue?
Thank you.
Joins in Acumatica works exactly like in SQL. First build the query in SQL and get the result as to what you need and then try to construct the same in Generic Inquiry.
Apart from than, I do not see any relations between Contracts and Inventory. Please explain what you are trying to get.
Here is the way you should join your tables in Generic Inquiry

I have a query as shown above, I would like to know if it is possible to use multiple values(array of values) instead of the below statement from the query without using a table
(select
'545934' as product_id_01,
4 as set_sort_no, 15 as article_id,
'Note for this item set' as note, 0 as is_deleted) as SOURCE
Thanks in advance.
No.MS SQL Server was not designed to support arrays
I am trying to make this query in OrmLite:
select b.* from blog b
join blog_to_blog_category btbc on b.id = btbc.blog_id
join blog_category bc on btbc.blog_category_id = bc.id
where b.url like '%.com' and bc.id in (100, 583)
group by b.id
having count(distinct bc.id ) = 1
I can't figure out how to get the Having() method structured. I can see there is a Sql.CountDistinct() method but I can't figure out how to use it with Having().
I figure I need to do something along the lines of:
var q = db
.From<Blog>()
.LeftJoin<BlogToBlogCategory>()
.Join<BlogToBlogCategory, BlogCategory>()
.Where<BlogCategory>(x => Sql.In(x.Id, 100, 583))
.GroupBy<Blog>(bc => bc.Id)
.Having(x => Sql.CountDistinct("blog_category.id") == "2")
This gives error:
42883: operator does not exist: bigint = text
I can't see how to type it to take a table column name and return a number for comparison.
Is this query possible?
EDIT
I got around it by setting having expression explicitly
q.HavingExpression = $"having count(distinct {q.Table<BlogCategory>()}.{q.Column<BlogCategory>(bc => bc.Id)}) = 2";
I am still curious though if it is possible to do this with fluent api.
I've just added multiple typed table overloads for Having() in the latest v5.11.1 that's now available on MyGet which will allow you to reference a joined table properties in a typed expression, e.g:
var q = db
.From<Blog>()
.LeftJoin<BlogToBlogCategory>()
.Join<BlogToBlogCategory, BlogCategory>()
.Where<BlogCategory>(x => Sql.In(x.Id, 100, 583))
.GroupBy<Blog>(bc => bc.Id)
.Having<BlogCategory>(x => Sql.CountDistinct(x.Id) == 2)
I'm using SQL and windows batch script to download inventory from our POS and then upload it to a 3rd party platform. The file is successfully downloading and uploading, but the 3rd party platform is quite finicky on formatting. Specifically, it won't accept decimal place for the column titled "Quantity".
I've searched and tried various different approaches but can't seem to find one that works. The tricky aspect to this sql is that i had to use a join in order to create a title row and I'm using the format varchar(32) I've posted my sql below, any suggestions?
set nocount ON
SELECT CAST('sku' as VARCHAR(32)) AS sku,
CAST('quantity' as VARCHAR(32)) AS quantity
UNION
SELECT CAST(IM_BARCOD.BARCOD AS
VARCHAR(32)) as sku, case when
IM_INV.QTY_AVAIL > 0 then
CAST(IM_INV.QTY_AVAIL AS VARCHAR(32)) else
CAST(0 as VARCHAR(32)) END as quantity
FROM IM_BARCOD INNER JOIN IM_INV ON
IM_INV.ITEM_NO = IM_BARCOD.ITEM_NO INNER
JOIN IM_PRC ON IM_INV.ITEM_NO =
IM_PRC.ITEM_NO INNER JOIN
IM_ITEM ON IM_INV.ITEM_NO = IM_ITEM.ITEM_NO
UNION
SELECT CAST(IM_BARCOD.BARCOD AS
VARCHAR(32)) as sku, case when
IM_INV_CELL.QTY_AVAIL > 0 then
CAST(IM_INV_CELL.QTY_AVAIL AS VARCHAR(32))
else CAST (0 as VARCHAR (32)) END as
quantity FROM IM_BARCOD INNER JOIN IM_PRC
ON IM_BARCOD.ITEM_NO = IM_PRC.ITEM_NO INNER
JOIN IM_INV_CELL ON IM_BARCOD.ITEM_NO =
IM_INV_CELL.ITEM_NO AND
IM_INV_CELL.DIM_1_UPR=IM_BARCOD.DIM_1_UPR
AND IM_INV_CELL.DIM_2_UPR =
IM_BARCOD.DIM_2_UPR AND
IM_INV_CELL.DIM_3_UPR =IM_BARCOD.DIM_3_UPR
INNER JOIN
IM_ITEM ON IM_BARCOD.ITEM_NO =
IM_ITEM.ITEM_NO
I have a BQL query joining three tables as follows:
foreach (PXResult<GLTran, Branch, xTACOpenSourceDetail> rec in
PXSelectJoin<GLTran,
InnerJoin<Branch,
On<GLTran.branchID, Equal<Branch.branchID>>,
InnerJoin<xTACOpenSourceDetail,
On<Branch.branchCD, Equal<xTACOpenSourceDetail.string03>,
And<xTACOpenSourceDetail.openSourceName, Equal<Constants.openSourceName>,
And<xTACOpenSourceDetail.dataID, Equal<Constants.privateer>>>>>>,
Where<Branch.branchCD, NotEqual<Required<Branch.branchCD>>,
And<GLTran.posted, Equal<True>,
And<GLTran.ledgerID, Equal<Required<GLTran.ledgerID>>,
And<GLTran.tranDate, GreaterEqual<Required<GLTran.tranDate>>>>>>,
OrderBy<Asc<xTACOpenSourceDetail.string01, Asc<GLTran.batchNbr>>>>.Select(Base, osdBranch.String03, ledger.LedgerID, tacsmlm.Date01))
I want to add one aggregated field, namely the sum of the GLTran.CuryDebitAmt grouped by GLTran.BatNbr and Branch.BranchCD.
I can easily do this in SQL using the SUM OVER functionality as follows:
SELECT SUM(GLTran.CuryDebitAmt) OVER (PARTITION BY GLTran.BatchNbr, Branch.BranchCD) as 'BatchTotal'
,GLTran.*
,Branch.*
,xTACOpenSourceDetail.*
FROM GLTran
Inner Join Branch
On GLTran.branchID = Branch.branchID
AND Branch.CompanyID = GLTran.CompanyID
Inner Join xTACOpenSourceDetail
On Branch.branchCD = xTACOpenSourceDetail.string03
And xTACOpenSourceDetail.openSourceName = 'TAC FM Map Company Branch'
And xTACOpenSourceDetail.dataID = 'Privateer'
AND xTACOpenSourceDetail.CompanyID = GLTran.CompanyID
Where Branch.branchCD <> '000 0000'
And GLTran.posted = 1
And GLTran.ledgerID = 6
And GLTran.tranDate >= '08/03/2017'
AND GLTran.CompanyID = 2
Order
By xTACOpenSourceDetail.string01 ASC
,GLTran.batchNbr ASC
...but I have no idea how to add this single summed field in BQL. Any help is appreciated.
You will use a PXSelectGroupBy and in your Aggreate for the BQL indicate which fields will "SUM" their values. Any field not called out will be the MAX value.
If you search SUM< in the Acumatica source you can find plenty of BQL examples. Here is a BQL Example from ARPaymentEntry. Only two (curyAdjdAmt & adjAmt) fields will contain a SUM while all other fields returned will be the MAX.
SOAdjust other = PXSelectGroupBy<SOAdjust,
Where<SOAdjust.voided, Equal<False>,
And<SOAdjust.adjdOrderType, Equal<Required<SOAdjust.adjdOrderType>>,
And<SOAdjust.adjdOrderNbr, Equal<Required<SOAdjust.adjdOrderNbr>>,
And<
Where<SOAdjust.adjgDocType, NotEqual<Required<SOAdjust.adjgDocType>>,
Or<SOAdjust.adjgRefNbr, NotEqual<Required<SOAdjust.adjgRefNbr>>>>>>>>,
Aggregate<GroupBy<SOAdjust.adjdOrderType,
GroupBy<SOAdjust.adjdOrderNbr,
Sum<SOAdjust.curyAdjdAmt,
Sum<SOAdjust.adjAmt>>>>>>.Select(this, adj.AdjdOrderType, adj.AdjdOrderNbr, adj.AdjgDocType, adj.AdjgRefNbr);
Another alternative solution for your question would be to create a PXProjection which could be the sum by group values which you then in your regular select include the projection table vs the base table in your BQL. I don't know the performance benefits vs one or the other - just another option.
I want to perform a simple join on two tables (BusinessUnit and UserBusinessUnit), so I can get a list of all BusinessUnits allocated to a given user.
The first attempt works, but there's no override of Select which allows me to restrict the columns returned (I get all columns from both tables):
var db = new KensDB();
SqlQuery query = db.Select
.From<BusinessUnit>()
.InnerJoin<UserBusinessUnit>( BusinessUnitTable.IdColumn, UserBusinessUnitTable.BusinessUnitIdColumn )
.Where( BusinessUnitTable.RecordStatusColumn ).IsEqualTo( 1 )
.And( UserBusinessUnitTable.UserIdColumn ).IsEqualTo( userId );
The second attept allows the column name restriction, but the generated sql contains pluralised table names (?)
SqlQuery query = new Select( new string[] { BusinessUnitTable.IdColumn, BusinessUnitTable.NameColumn } )
.From<BusinessUnit>()
.InnerJoin<UserBusinessUnit>( BusinessUnitTable.IdColumn, UserBusinessUnitTable.BusinessUnitIdColumn )
.Where( BusinessUnitTable.RecordStatusColumn ).IsEqualTo( 1 )
.And( UserBusinessUnitTable.UserIdColumn ).IsEqualTo( userId );
Produces...
SELECT [BusinessUnits].[Id], [BusinessUnits].[Name]
FROM [BusinessUnits]
INNER JOIN [UserBusinessUnits]
ON [BusinessUnits].[Id] = [UserBusinessUnits].[BusinessUnitId]
WHERE [BusinessUnits].[RecordStatus] = #0
AND [UserBusinessUnits].[UserId] = #1
So, two questions:
- How do I restrict the columns returned in method 1?
- Why does method 2 pluralise the column names in the generated SQL (and can I get round this?)
I'm using 3.0.0.3...
So far my experience with 3.0.0.3 suggests that this is not possible yet with the query tool, although it is with version 2.
I think the preferred method (so far) with version 3 is to use a linq query with something like:
var busUnits = from b in BusinessUnit.All()
join u in UserBusinessUnit.All() on b.Id equals u.BusinessUnitId
select b;
I ran into the pluralized table names myself, but it was because I'd only re-run one template after making schema changes.
Once I re-ran all the templates, the plural table names went away.
Try re-running all 4 templates and see if that solves it for you.
