Android studio terminal bug - android-studio

I can't see anything when I type in android studio's terminal. I see the cursor blinking and I can select lines till top but when I copy and paste it somewhere no texts are being pasted [what I checked].
There is no problem with any other log windows.IMAGE IMAGE 2

You may have a problem with your font color settings. It seems like in Windows the terminal takes the colors of the Windows console. Check this answer: Android Studio IDE - Terminal Background Text Colors different from Terminal Background Color

IntelliJ (Android Studio) Pop Up Window Background Color

I'm using Android Studio which is basically an IntelliJ IDE. For a while now my pop up windows have a white background no matter if I hover over code or use code completion. I think I checked all white(ish) color settings in Android Studio and set them to dark grey but those pop ups are still white. Please help me this drives me nuts.
There seems to be no solution to this problem. As a workaround I duplicated the Darcular color scheme (named it Darcular_Custom_2022) as this has black window backgrounds. I then set all color settings as they are in my current color scheme (Darcular_edited_2018).
Now everything looks the same in the editor but the pop up windows have a black background.
Cheers!

Flutter is not showing me the suggestion window for color names/numbers in Android Studio

I'd like to be able to see a suggestion that will allow me to see what colour belongs to which colour name/number when using Android studio.
Please note that "Show quick documentation on mouse move" has been activated in my Android studio general settings.
This is what my screen looks like when my mouse is on "blueGrey"
This is how i'd like my screen to look like when my mouse is on "blueGrey"
I sometimes have the same issue. For me, when I open the Quick Documentation with CTRL Q (Command J on Mac), then it shows the color swatches like on your second picture.

How to make the emojis display well in windows android studio code editor view?

How to use emoji in the Android source code in Android studio or IntelliJ in Windows OS? I want to use emojis in the logcat print messages by choosing emojis from the context-sensitive popup. I could not find the right plugin.
I need the plugin that is used in the picture below. But don't know how to achieve the same. When I googled I get references to emoji-compat for showing emoji in the android application's soft keyboard dialog. But I want to use emoji in the source code in the comments and logcat only.
Update: I thought it is an android studio feature. But it is available as soft touch keyboard in windows 10. "WIN + ;" is the shortcut for launching the same.
Now, my next question is how to make the emojis display colorful in windows android studio's code editor and logcat like the way it appears in the Mac.
In Mac it appears like this:
In windows it appears like this in the editor after adding the emoji:
On mac position the cursor in any text field you'd like to insert an
emoji, like posting a tweet for example.
Use the keyboard shortcut Command - Control - Space bar to access
emoji.
Double-click the emoji you'd like to use and it'll be inserted where
you left your cursor.
In your screenshots, the emojis appear to be rendered in a monochrome version in your editor. I've experienced a similar problem with the display of emojis in IntelliJ on macOS.
At first, I thought it was due to a character encoding setting. This turned out to be unrelated as my file encoding is set to UTF-8 everywhere.
After living with the problem for quite some time, the solution I've found to have emojis display right for me is to set the fallback font (for symbols not supported by the main font) to "Apple Color Emoji" for both the editor and the console.
The corresponding UI path for this setting is listed below.
Preferences > Editor > Font
When a color scheme font setting overrides the editor font, then the following paths can apply.
Preferences > Editor > Color Scheme > Color Scheme Font
Preferences > Editor > Color Scheme > Console Font
"Show only monospaced fonts" will need to be disabled temporarily to show the emoji font under "Fallback font".
Additionally, I made "Paste without Formatting" be my default paste option so that emojis can be pasted directly, without risk of being transformed into Unicode escape sequences.
The result is that emojis display as expected for me throughout the IDE, making a big difference to my coding pleasure!
The code editor now correctly handles Unicode emoji characters. On Mac OS X emoji characters are rendered as colored images. On Windows and Linux emoji are rendered as monochrome characters.

Android Studio IDE - Terminal Background Text Colors different from Terminal Background Color

I just recently installed Android Studio on my Windows 10 computer, and I am trying to resolve this dissonant background color issue in the built-in terminal. Screenshot here. I have not had this problem when I used Android Studio on Ubuntu 14.04.
The color of the text background is black, while the color of the console background is white. This issue is not related to my using Git Bash as my terminal as it also occurs when I use Windows Command Prompt.
I have checked through Settings --> Editor --> Colors and Fonts --> Console Colors and was unable to find anything that would allow me to resolve the background colors. I have also tried changing the color scheme to something different (e.g. Darcula). Screenshot here. Additionally, I also tried to change the overall UI theme and still got identical results.
The terminal is ugly, but I would love to take advantage of its built-in conveniences for using Git. The Android logcat output and Gradle messages look perfectly fine. How can I fix this so that the text and console background colors are the same? Thanks in advance.
I struggled with this issue for a while too.
From experience, the terminal takes the colors of the Windows console. Not that very well however that was the only way that I could do the required changes.
Open a cmd window in windows and on the main menu go to defaults.
Change the colors and save. Next terminal in Android Studio will change on next instance.
The colors won't follow exactly so one needs some experimenting. Best results I got with black text on white background.

How to change the background color around the visual design/layout editor in Android Studio

The background around the Layout Editor in Android Studio is dark grey. I think it used to be white. Anyway, I would like to make it white again, but I can't find the setting. The reason I want to change it is so that I can make nicer looking print screen images to use on StackOverflow or app descriptions.
Note: I'm not talking about changing the theme or the code editor colors. These questions have already been answered here:

Updated Answer
Android Studio 3.0 has a Screenshot menu item. Right click the design area and choose Save Screenshot.
From there you can make a screenshot with a transparent background.
