I'm making a Chrome Extension which changes the layout of a website. When my extension is activated and the website loads, you can briefly see the real website then it switches to my modified version loading in all the CSS and JS from the Chrome Extension. Though I've used other extensions that do something similar but have it displayed before anything actually shows the real website. One example is Shine for Reddit. When Reddit shows, it shows the extensions version of the website right at the start. How can I do this?
I'm trying to learn about google chrome extensions so from this question I went to this tutorial.
I followed the instructions but both the change of the page's color when clicking the button and the options page don't work.
To make sure I didn't missed anything I downloaded the completed extension but I got the same result.
Why does it not change the page's color when I click the button on the popup and when I go to the extension's options the page is blank? Is the tutorial obsolete/has something wrong in the code that wasn't updated? Can it be fixed/how?
The only related questions I have seen seem to be old when the example extension/tutorial was different.
This bug is tracked here: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=827804
It seems that the scripts have some errors.
I have uploaded fixed scripts to the bugtracker.
You can try them.
I have created a custom website using the Magento platform (No pre-defined theme is used). This is a completely created from the scratch. Now after developing the website, some slider in homepage is not displaying properly in the mobile version in addition to other pages. Can you guys help me out?. I am fine to buy an extension or do any other minor changes, so that I can go-live with my website immediately.
Have you checked out themes there in magento commerce?
Also tryout inspect element from browser to rule out syntactic errors
All the Best

all! I have a Joomla site (http://wired-ar.com) that I attempted an upgrade to 1.5.26 just a while ago. The upgrade went a bit awry, and I was forced to revert to a backup copy of the site using 1.5.15. Was upgrading with the intent to then upgrade to 2.x and then the latest.
I'm new to Joomla, but I believe I've reattached all the necessary components and modules. However, I'm getting 404 errors on EVERY page. Homepage, interior pages. I'm also having some problems with my editor, as only the top-portion of the editor appears and no TinyMCE. I've re-uploaded all editor files just to be safe, but no luck.
I haven't got a clue what's going on here, and I'm all out of leads. Most other problems like this involve the home page working, and nothing else. On my end, the back end works a-okay, and no visual pages are coming through. Changing different themes does not help, nor modifying any of the SEO areas, like mod_rewrite. Disabling plugins returns no results, either.
I would love some help with this, please! Any thoughts, options, or possibilities would be great.
Try to disable SEF url from backend, and figure out from the links, which articles/comp. are assigned to the menu. (maybe languages arent set correctly - you have assigned another lang article/category for ex. to an En lang menu)
As it turns out, and this may be the case with others, if you can access the back-end and nothing else, you likely have a corrupted file tree that's missing components or modules.
In my case, the really old files on this server had very wonky permissions, which made a smooth re-upload nearly impossible. The solution was to check and double check all components, adding the missing ones where needed. Took a lot of CHMOD work, too, for me.
Hope that helps someone, if you're in a similar pickle with an old Joomla site!
In my site there are 3 Languages (Arabic, English, Netherlands). I am using Joomfish to manage translation. My client asked me that he want Arabic as his default language. That is www.mysite.com should be load in Arabic. I already made Arabic as the default language from Joomla admin panel. But the site is still loading in English. What to do.?
Tip found myself : Actually the Arabic site will be loaded by opening www.mysite.com/ar. So i tried to do a htaccess redirection. Unfortunately that too didn't worked.
Kindly share your ideas to get ride of this situation.
Thanks & Regards.
I had the same problem yesterday for a spanish/english website where Spanish was to be the default. It was driving me crazy!!!! Anyway, the solution is to go to Plugin Manager and select the Jfrouter system plugin.
On the right hand side change the "Language selection for new visitors?" setting to "site default language" instead of "browser settings". It turns out that the Joomfish plugin was using the language of my browser instead of the site default.
